She was an innocent and had been caught walking slowly down the middle of my busy street if a workman left the gate open, The owner texted me Friday, my regular day, that my technician was sick and asked if he could reschedule for Monday. Of course it was. But the courtesy of being notified that he wouldn't show up was greatly appreciated. Billing is per month on an autopsy basis. It couldn't be easier. We left them in charge of our pets for 8 days. They came out and spent about an hour with me…read moregoing over everything before we left, and I sent detailed written instructions to them days before the trip, asking for questions. I left printed instructions on the counter as well. We have 8 indoor cats and 3 large long haired dogs. 2 of the cats are on daily medicine. There were a total of 3 visits a day, totaling 2 hours each day. We paid up front for the visits, as is their policy. We also had a friend stopping in to play with the dogs during this time, for extra attention and exercise. There are 3 major and 2 minor issues that we experienced. 1) They did not clean up the yard when the dogs pooped in it, even after it was brought to their attention. 2) They did not alert me to the fact that my friend was leaving the house unlocked when she visited, until day 7 of an 8 day contract. 3) One of my cats did not get medicated daily. In addition to the one time the sitter said she was unable to catch her, I found a pill on the counter, and one on the floor in another room when I got home. 4) They did not bring the mail in. When I asked about it, they said they couldn't see how to open the box. They never asked where the key was and forgot that I'd pointed it out on the front door. 5) The house was filthy when we got home. Mud, dirt, and pet hair everywhere, dried urine on the floor in many places. I showed them where the cleaning supplies were as well as writing that in the instructions. I wasn't expecting a maid service, but nor was I expecting a huge mess that had me breaking out the vacuum and mop at 1:30 am when I got home. This business is in the process of changing hands. I found that out when I reached out to the owner after I'd calmed down a little. The person taking it over is one of the sitters who was in our house. So I told her what my issues were. I did not feel that she took responsibility for them as a business owner should. She said she wouldn't send the other girl next time. I told her I didn't think there was going to be a next time. There were other things, as well, like the alarm getting set off the first day because my instructions weren't followed, the dog's water fountain gave one of the sitters a ton of problems, although there was nothing wrong with it that we could see and I had showed them how to manage it. I think they sent someone who was not qualified and didn't have a lot of common sense.

All I had to do was to ask her if she wanted to go see Dr. Baker. That beautiful head would perk up and she would run to the door. When there she greeted everyone, including walking behind the reception desk for personal attention and belly scratches. She especially loved Amanda, who always was always happy to see Lillie's name on the board. The office and pharmacy staff are always responsive to my texts for prescription refills for all my fur babies. And they have shown such love and care after the loss of my Lillie. Dr. Baker also took wonderful care of Eason, my sweet petite golden girl before Lillie. And before that Dr. Morris took care of Georgia. Thank you to all for being the wonderful practice and people that you are. There's a special place in heaven for those who love and care for our fur children.

The daily updates and pictures assured us that our dogs were having just as much fun as we were on their own vacation so we didn't have to feel guilty about having to leave them. Our dogs were extremely well cared for and had a great time. I could tell that they were torn about leaving to come back home since they had bonded so well with Krystyna, her husband, and their two dogs. I'm not sure just how recent this all will be still but this was my experience there. Many dogs up to 6 or 10 will be in one kennel area for the entire day. They do not watch the areas/have someone attending to watch at all times. There are dog fights daily there and they WILL NOT TELL YOU that your dog got into a fight. Inspect your dog DAILY if you do go with this place. The hiring/assistant manager the time KICKED AND THREW the dogs into the kennels when he would open the door. Simply saying "it doesn't hurt them it's fine." and one dog got out and he kicked it so bad it urinated everywhere out of FEAR. Needless to say he made me clean it up after I was done crying in the bathroom. Next day i quit and told the owner at the time. They have cameras there so the owner definitely SEES it but doesn't seem to care. Be wary of this place. Many people on indeed and here will tell you the same things. Please do extreme research here on reviews as it will show you the truth.

My first dog was a rescue and went through training with Lisa Marie, who did an excellent job. He ended up attending daycare almost every weekday of his life until he passed in 2022 at the age of 18. To this day I attribute his long life to the love (and the activity) that he was given by the staff at Four Paws on a daily basis. Since his passing I got a new puppy that has been attending daycare every weekday as well. She can't wait to go every day, and rushes to the front door when we arrive in the morning. You know that you are at a great place for your dog when the staff is as excited to see the dog as much as your dog is excited to see them. The prices at Four Paws are very reasonable, especially compared to other options nearby. I have temporarily tried other facilities (mostly due to the pandemic), but none stand up to the level of Four Paws. I've recommended them to other dog owners I know and they are now regular daycare attendees as well. If you bring your dogs to Four Paws both you and your dogs will not be disappointed!
