I arrived at my appointment 10 minutes late. It shouldn't matter because you usually wait a really long time at this office. Someone arrived five seconds before me (of course her appointment was set for 10 minutes after mine as doctors do, they set appointments back to back and then they can't fulfill those timeslots so you wait forever). The front desk told me that I'd be going after that person, since it wasn't fair to her that I arrived late. But we were both gonna wait in the waiting room for a really long time anyway. It wouldn't have mattered, which is what I tried to communicate. I disagreed with how they handled the situation and chose to reschedule my appointment. They proceeded to tell lies about me to the doctor and send me a letter telling me that I can no longer be a patient there. I've always thought the staff had way too much authority in this office, this confirms it. They were definitely on a power trip! Please stay away from this place. read more

Office seems to be all about money over anything else. Scheduled appt. as new patient for what I believe is an allergy in one eye. I was called with an estimate and advised I would need photos, dilation, and that 100% would have to be paid upon the visit. First, they hadn't even see me, have no idea what is actually wrong if anything but are already piling up the charges with "what I'm going to need." A little fishy to me. Moreover, the BCBS EOB often shows I owe less than what doctors bill, so I asked if I could pay the majority of my bill but leave a little back pending the EOB. Absolutely not. Pay now is only option or we won't see you. I get money is important but when 90% of the 'new patient' conversation focuses only on that, that is very telling of what kind of office it is. Such a turnoff. So I cancelled my appt. That was met with a smug response that projected complete apathy on their part. On a side note, looking at their combative responses from other low reviews. It pretty much confirms my decision to cancel. UPDATE 5/28/2024: Their original response was something like 'Have a great day.' As expected they couldn't help themselves and deleted that with yet another combative response to their growing negative reviews. As before they take no responsibility for anything and hammer away at excuse after excuse. They show no record of my call because I use a pseudonym for fear of retaliation. read more

I've seen lots of doctors for various health issues, but I've rarely encountered an entire office staff and Doctor who genuinely care about their patients. Beyond that, Dr. Kansal was incredibly knowledgeable and skillful. He helped me resolve an issue that had been causing problems for a year and did so in one sitting. Highly recommend! read more

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kansal and his staff. He has great bed side manners, took the time to explain my eye condition in a simple way to make it easier to understand. He took the time to clearly explain the various treatment options and best course of action. He wanted to be more conservative regarding the plan. I didn't have any issues with insurance since my deductible was already met. The office can be a little hard to find and the office arrangement and decor is a bit dated but it did not bother me. read more

I was Dr. Kansal patient for 3 years. But I quit 3 months ago. The reason is I found out they are 'no integrity', 'lie', 'cheting' to patient. The last time I went to their office did my eye checked. The receiption told me I have to pay the full 'deductible' then they will not charge me any. After 2 months I got the bill so called Medicare. Found out they completed changed the bill from Medicare paid them. BE CAREFUL, CHECK YOUR INSURANCE IF YOU GOT A BILL FROM THEM!!! SUCH DISGUSTING OFFICE!!! read more

Dr. Kansal recently took over the practice of the physician who had been our family's eye doctor for over 40 years (Jerry Cotner, MD). I was a bit leery of starting with a new doctor, especially since Dr. Cotner really is a one-in-a-million provider. However, I quickly found that Dr. Kansal possessed every quality that kept me as a patient of Dr. Cotner for such a long time. Not only is Dr. Kansal a very knowledgeable physician, which is really a minimum requirement for me, but he is also extremely personable and really embodies what you would think when you hear the term "great bedside manner". I recently had cataract surgery, and was a bit nervous. Dr. Kansal took the time to answer every one of my, and my husband's, questions without us feeling rushed or hurried. The surgery turned out to be a relative breeze, as was my recovery. Through the process, I really got the feeling that I was a person and not just a pair of eyes, as well as the sense of being genuinely cared for as an individual. These are all qualities I found in Dr. Cotner, and I'm so please that Dr. Kansal arrived to receive the baton when Dr. Cotner retired. I'd recommend him without reservation. read more

Dr Kansal was very thorough with my initial eye exam. When I had an eye emergency in the late evening he quickly contacted me back, talked me through my issue, and set an appointment early the following day to check out what was going on. He thoroughly re-examined my eye & then referred me to a specialist making sure to find a doctor who accepted my 'wonky' insurance. I was very, very impressed with his knowledge, manner & care.
