I…read morewas switched to Dr. Patel after Dr. Sankoorikal left, and I am terribly disappointed with the service I've received. My first visit with him was just ok. He doesn't come off as caring, he's not very personable, and I just didn't get a good feeling from him. I had my second visit with him today, and it was terrible. I told him my problem, he asked a couple questions, did a brief exam, then prescribed some medication. I then let him know I had something else to discuss, and he told me I couldn't. He said, "with these 15 minute ones, they want me to stick to one thing". He then said, well if it's quick I can try to help, while standing at the partially open door. Of course I declined at that point. He then said "they want us to do one thing well instead of two things shitty". I felt totally rushed and uncomfortable, and I was actually taken back by his remark. IMO we don't know each other well enough to use cuss words in a professional setting. Especially when I'm on the losing side of the conversation. I've never had a doctor that refused to help me. I could possibly understand if we were close to the 15 minute mark, but we weren't. I spoke with him for less than 10 minutes. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's appointment, and I will not be returning. The rest of the staff is warm and friendly. I've always had great interactions with them. Maybe the other doctors here do a better job of making their patients feel heard, but Ashish Patel certainly DOES NOT.

On the day of my appointment, I received two calls from the facility around 3:00pm reminding me that I needed to be at the appointment 15 minutes before my scheduled 5:30pm appointment and one call asking me to come early for my appointment. I thought that receiving a phone call from a Piedmont facility asking me to come early was odd and unprofessional, but I determined that it was a Friday evening and the employees may want to leave early. As I arrived at the facility early, the lights were shut off and no other patients were in the waiting room. Suddenly, an employee came to the waiting room and said I would need to reschedule my appointment. She stated that a specialty examination was required and advised me to contact my Piedmont gynecologist to obtain my OWN order prior to being seen. I asked her why the facility had initially scheduled my appointment, called me twice to arrive early, yet failed to obtain the necessary order, and responded with even ruder remarks. I also contacted the practice manager and the Piedmont Compliance Department but do not feel as if my questions were addressed adequately. I am a resident of Fayette County but will likely look elsewhere to schedule my mammogram.

Happy Thanksgiving Eve!…read more Piedmont Fayette is a great hospital. My husband and I were in a terrible car accident last night. We chose this hospital because we've been here before and have always had great experiences. The nurses and Dr that took care of us were excellent. I have a fractured arm and etc, and my husband is banged up pretty bad. But, God is good. We will be ok.

We admitted our family member from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital from March 22 - April 3, 2026…read more While the initial days and certain staff were attentive and professional, we later experienced several serious concerns regarding patient care: Multiple delays in responding to calls for pain management and bathroom assistance. Repeated incidents where our family member urinated on herself due to delayed assistance. Technicians appeared unsure how to safely assist with mobility and transfers. Towels obstructing walkers and refusal to adjust them, creating safety risks. Supervisor entered the room and incorrectly alleged that we were recording staff. There were positive experiences, such as attentive nurses on March 30, consistent therapy sessions, and thoughtful comfort measures (like adjusting pillows and towels). However, the repeated delays and lack of confidence among some staff made us very concerned for the patient's dignity and safety. We hope this feedback helps the hospital improve training, staffing, and communication so that future patients do not experience similar issues. Would we recommend this hospital. Only if you love one is going to be here less than 3 days.
