I just tried to schedule with OPI on Peachtree and had a terrible experience with the person who answered the phone. They were snotty and tried to rush the call. An example is that she told me that I needed to have my Dr fax the order to them and then she didn't offer the fax number. afte waiting a few seconds for her to give it to me I requested it and she said it so fast I had to ask her to repeat it 3 times. horrible. I also noticed that OPI doesnt have a website where I can provided feedback. read more

Absolutely terrible. My image request was emailed three times over a three-day period with follow-ups by telephone and still no response or reply. Horrid, especially when the imagining needs to be done sooner than later. And the person answering the phone acts like she could not care less. Terrible service. Terrible attitude. It takes forever to get scheduled - you may have to call in 5-7 times to even get an appointment. You will need to stay on top of them to make sure they do what they are supposed to do. Do not recommend. read more

The scheduling process in itself was a bit difficult. My provider had faxed over a copy of the order twice however, the facility never received it. Although I had mentioned that I had a physical copy of the order I wasn't given the option to email that to anyone until the second week. Additionally, trying to get through a phone line was also difficult because they would pick up and place you on hold for an extended period of time if I had another option, I personally would have tried to utilize a different system or provider as for the location in itself it was a very pleasant experience. I had a 8 AM appointment. I arrive 15 minutes before I completed my paperwork online and was taking back within five minutes of arriving. My specific procedure took less than 10 minutes to complete. The technician who assisted me Nani was amazing. She was very efficient kind and thorough and again allow this to be a very indulging experience. I personally spent more time traveling to and from than I did at the actual facility overall the facility was a great experience. read more

The staff at the P'Tree City location are nice enough. That's all the good I have to say about this most unprofessional organization. Almost 3 months, still no CD received. Oh, but I have received many statements on a debt that was paid after I received my first statement in the mail. The phone numbers given to contact the billing department are non functioning. I have a receipt and a credit card statement proving I paid them, yet they are threatening me with being turned over to a COLLECTION AGENCY. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Even with multiple item of hard proof of payment they will still come after you for collection. All this and still no CD image copy received. CAVEAT EMPTOR! read more

I enjoy having many options for medical services via my health insurance. This includes a list of imaging centers to select. OPI was a good experience and offers several locations. I choose the Buckhead location because it was convenient. The office is easy to find (next to Willie's). Free parking in the lot. The staff gave a warm greeting upon entering. COVID-19 precautions were practiced including masks. Barbara was great and explained every step she took while taking my x-rays. What I did not like was the technician's inability to explain the need for additional images beyond "the radiologist said so." Well this is costing me additional money so you need to be able to explain: 1) Exactly what could not be seen via the first x-rays and 2) Exactly what are you aiming to see with the additional image which will be an extra charge to my medical insurance. As a public health professional, I am a very informed patient. Prior to going to any medical appointment, I ask for medical codes and call my medical insurance, so I know my financial responsibility in advance. I am blessed to have great health insurance and respect the professional advice of medical staff. However, healthcare professionals have a responsibility to justify medical services and not merely perform them. Know your rights and be an empowered patient because medical bills are a major reason for debt. Overall, I would return. However, when I ask a question about my medical care, I have a right to a proper explanation. Do better OPI in this area. read more

If you're all about little to no waiting, convenience and free parking, this is the place for you -- my doctor recommended getting a mammogram here (vs Northside) for those reasons. Staff at OPI are friendly and they have fresh Otis Spunkmeyer cookies at the front desk, lol. More importantly, I really appreciated the kindness and care provided by the nurse technician Barbara esp. given the nature of getting a mammogram which is no fun. I got the regular mammogram plus their newest 3D ultrasound - they are apparently the first to offer this technology in Atlanta. And my results were ready in two business days! FYI they're located in the same shopping center as Willy's and Panera Bread, across the street from Holeman & Finch. Hey restaurants are my landmarks :) read more

I was at OPI on 2/28 for Coronary Calcium Score Xray. I arrived about 7 min before my appt time of 10 AM, and after about brief 5 mins in the waiting room, I was promptly ushered into the X-Ray room by the most delightful technician named Jamael (sp?). He was such a fresh breath of air with his genuine joy for his job, people, and his willingness to help to make me feel at ease...., I have to say his sunny disposition set the mood for the rest of the day for me. The whole process took less than 30 mins... I LOVED my experience at this very well run, clean, friendly, and efficient Imaging Center, and when I told my physician who ordered the test about my experience, he said he is going to send other patients there as well. Ohhh BTW, they also have yummy cookies for you to enjoy, and that totally sold me! :) read more

Well as others have stated the in person Experience was great but the insurance and billing department sucks. A week before appt my doctor requested they get insurance preapproved. The day of appt I call and they never did it. Explanation was "we didn't think it would be approved" (my first warning sign) After again confirming with my insurance that it could be preapproved they finally called and got the approval. Everything went fine on the day of the appointment. Got my Explanation of benefits which stated they submitted the claim as out of network and now I'm expected to pay $366! Hopefully this error can be corrected easily. nobody answers phone in the billing department my doctor is trying to contact them directly as well. read more

they sent me a bill for a service I had already paid for in person and in cash, when I called in to their customer service they were very rude and not helpful at all. Had to call multiple times for the issue to be resolved and it was as simple as posting the payment. Received at least two letters from a collection agency thanks to this mistake. read more

my wife and i just arrived at the appt for her ultra sound all the way from peachtree city today by her doctor for an 8am appt in buckhead. we called ahead to state we where running a little behind and they told us that we have a 15min grace period we arrived at exactly 8:20 and they stated that we won't be seen by the guy at the front desk for her ultra sound. if you ask me this place is not very friendly understanding or accommodating. this will be the last time we come here and will by all means assure other family members not to bother with this location or any location read more

Showed up for an appointment on Friday. They did not have me scheduled even though I showed them the appointment confirmation email from my regular doctor. The rescheduled for Monday. On Monday, after over an hour and a half past my appointment time, I ask for a refund as I paid upon arrival. They offered no apology or even questions as to why I wanted to leave. I've never had a good experience here. One time they cancelled my MRI without calling me and I had taken the day off to get it. They cancelled it a second time and I ended up having to get an entire new order because they spaced the appointments out so far apart. I got sent here today with severe abdominal pain and my doctor was concerned I had a broken rib. I got in at 3:32 and they told me the tech clocked out at 3:30 and there was nothing that they could do to help me. Trying to schedule an appointment with this place is outrageously difficult. The process for them to receive the referral/referral is ridiculous. I was told 48 hours I called at the end of day after the 48 hours. They told me they still hadn't received it and they would call me back because sometimes it takes 4 days. Then they would call be to schedule an appointment. I never heard back. I called again after about two weeks. They said that they had to call my provider to send over the information well they had to of gotten then information and are lying about the call because not once did anyone ever ask me for my providers information. Then they said I have to have my previous mammogram to schedule an appointment. I don't have it and I have pain in my breast. They will not do a mammogram unless I have my previous one from 2020 which my doctors has since closed as well as the imaging center that I had it done. I have been having pain in my breast for over a month and I just found out my mom has breast cancer. This place is terrible do not use. read more

I most recently had a dangerous experience due purely to incompetence. I came with my surgeon's order for spinal x-rays-- specifically a full spine x-ray, (aiming from your back to front) and a lateral x-ray (a picture taken from the side) of my ENTIRE spinal column. Instead, I had multiple x-rays taken of my lumbar and thoracic spine separately, and in an orientation that was the OPPOSITE of what was ordered. A complete miss. The technician/staff did not read my surgeon's order correctly. Therefore, images had to be RETAKEN, in the correct orientation. So, what should have been 2-3 x-rays, had turned into 7. I was exposed to more radiation than necessary. I didn't appreciate this, but nonetheless, I moved on. When I got home to look at the imagines before sending them to Mayo Clinic, I discovered that the images were inadequate and did not contain the FULL spinal column. Now we really have a problem! The x-ray order specifically indicated "FULL SPINE", meaning....... that's right, the full spinal column, from neck (cervical) to tailbone (sacrum), contained in ONE picture, from the back and from the side. These kinds of x-rays are ordered and taken all the time by spinal surgeons and even chiropractors. Instead, my lumbar and thoracic spine images were taken separately. Again, this is NOT what was ordered, and completely useless to my (deformity) neurosurgeon. After talking with Dr. Lin, the chief radiologist and owner of OPI, about this situation, I'm sorry to say that I am still left troubled. I was told "full spine x-rays" cannot be taken b/c of "artifact" that would occur. Oh, please stop. That is a "low-hanging fruit" explanation that is a complete excuse. Basically, I was attempted to be given a "soft medical explanation", for why full spinal x-rays were not taken, simply because they messed up and wanted to "save-face". This is a full-on lie, and a cover-up, for really what is negligence and medical malpractice. FULL spinal column x-rays are taken ALL THE TIME, particularly as ordered by "deformity surgeons" for assessing scoliosis patients, on coronal and sagittal balance, and other measurements. I was told by Dr. Lin that "the usual scoliosis series x-rays" was conducted. That is NOT what was ordered by my neurosurgeon. How many times must I say it? Dr. Lin offered no apology, and instead, resorting to a "radiological lecture", with the purpose of coming across as the authority on my health matter, which really was just a narcissistic attempt to cover up a medical mistake. He was hoping I would just "take him at his word", and make the problem go away. Now, to his credit (I guess?), he did offer for me to come back and have my neck x-rayed. But, for what? Some consolation prize for a gross mistake that was made? He didn't see (more like admit) to anything wrong with what happened the first time around. Nor, would taking him up on the offer correct the problem! Bullocks, I say! If you cannot perform the procedure as ordered, you ought to inform your patients beforehand and refer them out. If you make a mistake, you should admit to it and do the right thing and fix it if possible. This is commonly known as "best practice". His attitude was dishonorable, unethical, and a reflection of some of the worst of parent-care. The bottom-line summary here is that the x-ray orders were not followed, which resulted in me having TWICE the amount of x-ray radiation, AND, still not ending up with what my neurosurgeon requires (and orders all the time, by the way). This is a cautionary tale, and thankfully not a devastating experience physically (despite excessive radiation). Though, it certainly does indicate the kind of medical (mal)practice here, and the attitude of Dr. Lin. An upfront apology would have sufficed. Really. But, the discovery of compounding mistakes and the denial of wrongdoing really makes me angry (as you can tell). Quite unfortunate. read more

The way I was talk to today by the light skin gentleman with the twist was completely out of line. I had questions seeing that this was my first time here and he constantly reminded me that it was he second or third time explaining it. He was using words I wasn't aware of and as someone who isn't usually sick I wanted to know what was going in me he didn't like that I was so curious when I finished my test I was told by him to wait I'm the lobby for 20 minutes and a doctor would be out with the results to go over with me I wait for 45 minutes and when he comes out he asking how I was feeling and I told him I'm a bit stressed out because I've been here since 11:45 wasn't seen until 2 when I was told otherwise and that I had to wait an additional 25 minutes just to find out the doctor is in canton. His response to me was " I don't care you are going to let me talk for once. I don't understand what that meant because he made it seem like I was making him over talk with my questions. I then told him I rather go over my results with someone else because he wasn't being professional cameras and all can tell that he was waving his hand around in my face at the front desk in front of the two receptionist and constantly saying he doesn't care. I don't understand how a health care provider can employ such a person that doesn't care and treats sick patients that way. I'm guessing his name is Raul because that's the same on my paperwork that's not even the worse part they gave me false results and it wasn't until I requested a new nurse to go over this with me that I received a call from my doctor telling me to rush to the Emergency room because they are seeing signs of pulmonary embolism which if not treated can kill me. So Raul was willing to send me home without accurately looking at my results and getting the right results back to my doctor. I COULD HAVE STOP BREATHING DUE TO RAULS negligence I thank god I was able to request a new nurse because I'm confident Raul doses not care about his company or the patients that walk through the door because he is the only one that was beyond disrespectful. I have records of the false diagnosis and I would love to see how far this can go from a company that employs simple minded people that show no concerns for peoples health. If you are a regular here I would make sure Raul is not doing your scan everyone else definitely seem to care but based of the false results and the disrespect it's obvious that Raul does not! read more

After getting a dodgy result on a routine test, I was faced with the disagreeable prospect of either paying hundreds of dollars for additional testing in the hospital's fancy specialty office, or off-roading to an imaging center like OPI for no cost. It turns out that this location is much more convenient and faster than the hospital's fancy specialty office, but just as comfortable. Very positive experience for X-rays and ultrasounds. Using OPI required extra legwork on my part (faxing a request for a medical records transfer on CD from my doctor to OPI - thanks, medical system stuck in 1983), but it was worth it. read more

Come get your COVID!!! While waiting, uncomfortably, for my appointment (45 minutes with a full bladder) I witnessed two staff members walking around the front office without masks. They both came up to the front check-in area multiples times without wearing masks as if this was their normal. When I asked to speak to a manager, as I was concerned, guess who came out to talk to me? The staff member who wasn't wearing a mask!!! I was speechless. Yep, even the practice manager, Shirley, doesn't feel the need to mask up in the presence of patients or her fellow coworkers. I had a great experience this morning at OPI. I was able to get an appointment much more quickly than at Piedmont Hospital. The entire staff from front desk to the technicians in back were professional, courteous and kind. I never waited longer than what was stated and each person I encountered was helpful and efficient. They explained each step of my procedure clearly and checked on me throughout. My appointment was at 8:45am and by 10:00am, I was on my way to work! Furthermore, the office was immaculately clean, comfortable and welcoming. I am highly impressed and I would recommend this facility to anyone needing lab tests. In addition, the costs of the tests are a fraction of what they'd cost at one of the local hospitals' imaging centers. read more

I dont recommend this imaging center to anyone. Terrible, from beginning to end. One of the receptionist misgendered me and then laughed. No apology or anything AND continuously mispronounced my name after correction. At that point I was already rubbed wrong. After waiting about 20 minutes, I was called to the back room, where I had an ultra sound taken for two areas. Once the exam was over, Jasmine (the girl who examined me) took the results and gave them to the radiologist. She said the radiologist would come in to speak with me. After waiting about 10 minutes, Jasmine comes back into the room, & relays the message of the findings, on behalf of the radiologist. Stating the radiologist didn't think it was anything serious, nothing more than a cyst & a swollen lymph node, but provided no further insight on what to do about it or when to come back if it seemed to be a cause of concern for me...when the whole reason I went up there in the first place was to see what could be done about it because it was concerning me. She said they both should just go away on its own & I should be fine (?????) when I've been experienced both pains & discomfort for months. So yeah, offensive receptionists, lack of concern & regard for ppl getting exams done, & little to no information once the exam is completed. read more

It is hard to even give this business one star. I posted a previous review after it became apparent that my mammogram had been misread (I had another complete diagnostic exam at my usual facility and it was read by my usual doctor, OPI had noted areas of concern ON THE WRONG BREAST). After repeated attempts to send an email to OPI, which would not deliver, I hand delivered a written letter to the facility, complete with the report from the other facility, and asked for some kind of explanation or reply as to their error. I was told the office manager would call. Several weeks, no call. Last week, I called to speak to the office manager, who was conveniently out of the office but I was assured that "she will call you promptly." 10 days have passed, no reply. And yet, after pointing out an error that could have left something suspicious undiagnosed (their radiologist's report noted concerns ON THE WRONG BREAST), I am still getting their computer generated notices that I need to come in for a follow up mammogram. Something is not right with this organization....be careful. read more
