I was never aware that progressive lenses could be upgraded. I had no idea that was even an option. I have never needed to upgrade so it was done without my knowledge behind my back ! Maybe Danielle thinks she explained the upgrade to me but she did not. I have never needed lenses other than the basic progressive and i have never required anything other than basic glasses. I used my old frames from last year. SO, instead of using just my Basic Insurance Benefit which would have only used $200 she took an additional $200 from my Medicare Flex Account and I left there with eyeglasses that cost $400 needlessly. I think they take advantage of older senior folks on Medicare Advantage Plans in order to increase their profit. She is only an Optician and not an Optometrist. I mention this because she took it upon herself to argue with me about how well I could see out of the left lens. Who is she to argue with a customer about their vision being adequate? I have lodged a complaint with my insurance company about how I have been treated by this company, and I will be calling the Better Business Bureau also. She gave me a copy of the invoice which is not at all understandable to the average person. I will try to attach it to this review review. Also I requested that someone in authority such as the owner or district manager contact me about this situation I've experienced with Site 360 Optimart but they only response I've gotten Is a "pre-written generic email / text that is not even specific to my sitiation". It's nothing more than a "canned response" they send to anyone with legitimate complaints about them or their company. I did not ask for anything to be refunded to me...Just to have the $200 put back into my Flex Account. I am 76 years old and live on a fixed income! This so called 4-5 STAR BUSINESS can care less about their elderly vision patients. I hope that people who get their vision care are this Company read this. Very disappointed in their "before and after exam" service. My initial exam appointment was cancelled 3 times in a row, and i never received notice by text or email, but had to drive down there each time to find out that the eye doctor was sick. Once I did get my exam, I ordered (2) pairs of the same glasses and only received one. Edited to update: I called and complained about my experience to the 1-800 #. Was promptly and professionally helped. Was able to easily be refunded. Impressed with the speed and professionalism of the people in charge. When we went back for the refund all personnel inside the store were clearly upset and trying to make condescending glares and shaking heads in disapproval, however, we got the refund! Seriously unprofessional. Rude. Not willing to do the work required for frames they initially said would work. Says cannot refund. Just lazy and doesn't want to back up initial promise. Set next pair of glasses with eyebrows inside lens frame. But swears they are the professional that knows what they're doing. Do NOT come here. read more

Loved the Optometrist but all of the favorable reviews I saw was not my experience with this store. Twice my glasses came back to Opti-mart with the lenses crooked. Not only did the glasses leave the lab that way, but no one from the Spring Hill store bothered to check them prior to calling me to pick them up. Four trips to this store (80 minute round trip each time) while I was healing from a lower spine fusion. Some of the most disrespectful people I've ever dealt with. Office Manager couldn't even bother calling me back. Very unprofessional. I'm sad to think how folks who don't know how to advocate for themselves are treated. Maybe whoever owns this "family-owned" business should take another look at their personnel. read more

I used Opti-mart in Spring Hill based on a recommendation. I must say that the staff was very friendly and the Dr was good. I will, however, be in the store tomorrow. I am not happy about some things. The first things are charges on my receipt. The advertised price of an eye exam is $59. My receipt shows a charge of $215. Add the lenses for $60 and scratch coating/UV filter for $10 and the total is $285. I get it. The insurance paid for everything and I am out of pocket $0, but if my insurance was charged only the $59 I would have either saved my insurer $156 or had more money to add to my glasses (nicer frame, coatings, etc). Theoretically, I could have used as much as $205 for frame. read more

Had my exam, picked out 2 frames and got a call to pick up the glasses within 1 week. Unfortunately the prescription wasn't correct for my right eye. They quickly rechecked my eye and have reordered my glasses. Casey's attention to detail is commendable. Everyone is very cordial and professional. This has nothing to do with Opti-Mart, but a stupid young white girl who bs'd me during this difficult virus time. My father is 94 and in hospice. He needed new glasses badly. Lisa assured me, they could get them to me quickly. ("We're here to help"). Our initial contact was April 19th. I paid by credit card. Told about ten days. I had contact with Lisa on May 3 and May 6th. Today, May 11th, I called the local Opti-mart. Was told their lab was closed during the virus - and it reopened last week. Very unhappy with this business. I requested my prescription after an exam, which they legally must provide. Tried to order my lenses on-line to save money, could not match my RX with anything. I had to have Optimart order them, when I received them, they were different than the RX. Had they given me the RX on the box of lenses they ordered me, I could have ordered them online for half the price. I went back to return them, told them they did not order me what was on my RX, they told me the numbers were very similar. They obvioulsy do this on purpose so you have to order from them. They are rude. I was a previous customer and quickly stopped in one day to order new contacts, well I stood there for at least 5 min, and no one acknowledged me. One guy was with a customer, and you would think he would have said someone will be with you shortly, nope! One of the ladies was returning from lunch. She put her stuff down, I'm still standing at the counter. She said nothing and the guy tells her the lady sitting down was here first. Of course, that's not the issue. You have someone standing at the counter for over 5 min and NO ONE can acknowledge you. I will be going elsewhere and I don't mind paying for a new eye exam all over again, to get the service I want. Not to mention, the glasses I purchased last year, now look cheap and you can tell over time, the materials used was not of quality. Did I mention, this is not my first incident of issues with this location. No sense of urgency and Customer Service skills are lacking big time.
