Realized it's been more than 3 years since our last eye exam, so decided to make an appointment here based on their stellar Yelp reviews. I was a bit nervous about seeing a new ophthalmologist, as I had the same eye doctor in L.A. for over 30 years, but those fears were quickly allayed as soon as we walked through the doors. The Yelp reviews were spot-on. They were they able to book me and my husband in 2 weeks, versus another place I called closer to our house and they said the first available appointment was for mid-March. We arrived a couple of minutes after our appointment so we were worried we'd have a long wait, but almost immediately after filling out our paperwork, I was called in for the exam. Can't say enough about our exams with Dr. Andrea Radtke. Not only was she professional, thorough and detailed, she was funny and nice as well. Found out her mother lives in the same small mountain community in So. Cal. we moved from! How's that for coincidence? Located on the northwest corner of W. Lake Mead Blvd and N. Buffalo Dr next to Panda Express. It is in a prime location since it is situated in a large strip mall. There is plenty of parking on the south and southwest sides of Optic Gallery. The facility is really clean and the staff are very professional and friendly. Dr. Jordan is the best! He listens to you and provides you the best care available. He provided me with contact lenses which allows me to see both far and near distances. Now, I don't need my reading glasses! I had my annual eye exam at this location. It's common to wait a little longer to see any kind of doctor but the staff up front were extremely accomidating and didn't make me feel forgoten about. Very rude don't take your kids here . They told me I need to contain my 3 children better when simply they where getting a drink of water. . Cover the drinking fountain then . If you don't want the kids drinking out of them . From the receptionist to both dr all seemed agitated with kids . Don't book 3 small children back to back if you can't handle it my kids where just being kids . The only reason I went here is my insurance referred me saying it was a pediatric eye dr . 10/10 would recommend Dr. Andrea Radtke for optometry needs. The office was extremely efficient from making appointments, check in, conducting tests, to going over results. Protip - do the retina test for $39. You'll not only learn more information about your ocular health, but according to Dr. Radtke, it is also a good snapshot of your overall cardiovascular health as well. Very cheap test and less lengthy / intrusive than other physical exams. The optician tech was friendly and ensured to clean every piece of equipment before use or handing me any instruments. Dr. Radtke was extremely thorough in helping me understand the results of the tests, going over the science behind the prognosis, and also giving multiple recommendations and approaches to help resolve the problems. Absolutely a wonderful experience and I feel very confident to recommend friends and family to Dr. Radtke for all future optometry needs. PS. Dr Jordan was AMAZING! He was personable, approachable, and super friendly. I felt like I knew him. His staff was also super friendly. Slight stigmatism, small prescription, took extreme consideration at thought into my Flight Attendant needs. Seeing in the dark, transitioning distances, consideration in the detail of my use of screens and equipment on the aircraft and helping me to see clearer quicker. Full Eye exam and the iWellness exam was thorough and provided incredible insight (no pun intended). Super Impressed! Getting my first pair of glasses! Wouldn't have went anywhere else. For the LGBT community, there is nothing unnerving or unfriendly about this office. Especially for the Transgender community, your are safe here. I have now been seeing Dr. Jordan and Dr. Radtke (husband and wife team of optomotrists!) for two years now. From Jenn in the reception area to Zach in the eye test room, I feel well taken care, welcomed and valued in the presence of all staff. The store is not large and I have been to other eye doctors in Las Vegas with a greater selection of frames, but I would say the treatment by staff makes the difference here. I did buy a great pair of Gucci sunglasses that I absolutley love from this store. Dr. Jordan (whom I have primarily seen) is always clear in his explanations of my eye health. He has a kind manner and I do feel like a valued customer. There is also a horribly convenient on-line app to book appointments through Eye Finity. read more

I paid $129 for an eye exam in order to receive a prescription so I could go elsewhere to order glasses as I knew paying for glasses in office would be costly. I was quoted $150 for frames and $278 for the blue light lenses lol. I don't have eye insurance any more so this is not ideal for me. I used www.eyebuydirect.com for the same exact prescription glasses I needed WITH blue light filter and paid $44 for Rx plus Blue tint. I shop smart and you should too. Take care :) read more

Sent them an enquiry post midnight on 12/25 via yelp asking about the same day delivery, i think around 2am and voila!! I recieved a response in couple of hours, yeah you heard me right, they responded post midnight on Christmas. Long story short : I was driving from San Francisco to Page, AZ (via LA, LV) with 2 day stop at Los Angeles, CA. I lost my prescription glasses at Venice Beach, LA. I need to reach Page the very next day. Being Christmas every (optometry) shop in LA was closed. Luckily I had my prescription sun glasses, but wont be able to drive at night. Searched yelp for optometry in LV for 1 day delivery and rest is history. I got a call at 8:15am (was on my way to LV) as promised by Dr Jordan, scheduled an appointment at 9:40am, got all the test done by 10:15am, recieved my glasses at 11:10am and... Excellent service, very understanding, friendly folks, lightning service!! Highly recommended!! And thank you for saving my holiday!! read more

Don't get me wrong, they might be great when it comes to getting the right glasses for you but only come here for that reason. During my difficult month I had sought advice from others including Optic Gallery, and from the thousands of dollars worth of treatments, doctor visits, and assessments they were the only one to actually charge me. I'd gladly pay any monetary amount to have my eyes back but I found it strange out of all the places I went, Optic Gallery was the only one that charged me and they still have my money. No worries though, I think it was a weekend policy. When one of your senses (my vision) goes down, the others are enhanced. With panic, mistakes are made. You could hear it in his voice while dealing with me. I signed the form which includes not having my eyes dilated and guess what happened? Yup, 1 star. The pain carried over for days. read more

So glad we found this place! My son broke his glasses and he was due for his annual checkup. We just moved to Vegas from AZ . When I called to schedule an appointment and I explained my situation they were able to get my son in right away. Have visited this location twice now. In my first visit I walked away with no complaints besides very expensive glasses selection and lens selection, but I just ordered my glasses elsewhere. Service was great and exam went smoothly. On my second visit I added getting an contact prescription and fitting done, which cost $75. After getting the exam and fitting done I sat down with the sales associate. She sold me a year supply of the contacts suggested by the eye doctor. She opened her binder with the price comparison information in it promising to price match (with her book, not with actual online comparisons). I felt like it was overpriced but asked about the return policy and was told 30 days if unopened. With that I left the office with a year supply of contacts with the idea of comparing prices once I got home. I found that there was a $20-$60 difference depending on which store and coupon codes. With the idea of returning in mind I called the office and explained I'd be back the following weekend to return them. Woman on the phone said that was fine. I arrived at the store the weekend I mentioned and the store was closed Friday - Saturday (9/22-9/23). Not once did the woman on the phone not mention they would be closed, but their website also said nothing about them being closed. Went home frustrated and willing to simply eat the costs to avoid the annoying office again. Then, when I plugged in the information for the promised rebate online worth $80 the site said the rebate code was either already used or invalid. Very disappointed and beyond frustrated. Emailed the facility to see what they offer to do about it. read more
