Dr. Cheung explained my test results and addressed any concerns I had and disccused what my future eye health will be (just providing realistic expecations of what is to come due to age). They have a wide style of frames to pick from as well, and the selection process wasn't too overwhelming. They were able to help me select a pair that was flattering on my face. read more

She personally followed up, addressed all of my concerns right away, and ensured my request was accommodated seamlessly. It's rare to see this level of accountability and quick action, and I greatly appreciate it. I tried giving this place a chance, but their customer service is non-existent. I contacted them requesting a service quote, got a few responses, and then... nothing. I followed up again and was completely ignored. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a business that doesn't value a customer's time. If they are this bad at basic communication, I can't imagine how careless they are with the actual work. Very nice & clean store. The optometrist was great. The optician, however, made the visit terrible. He tried to up sell me in every way possible and buy an additional pair of glasses I didn't need. My husband was able to get a refund on the second pair. When I went in to pick up my new glasses they put them on the desk and said goodbye. No fitting, no adjustments to my face, no checking to see if I could easily read small print. Poor customer service. I won't return to this location. read more

I needed a new eye doctor after moving to Nevada. I got tired of flying to Atlanta to see my doctor every year. Dr. Ng is was patient and willing to take his time to make sure my new prescription was calibrated correctly. Never felt rushed or that I was taking too much time. The office isn't so busy is so nice to get seen as soon as I walk in. The staff is very nice and the best part is when I call, I'm actually calling the office and not some central call center. Disappointed with my latest visit. I have insurance and it includes frames every other year. I wanted to order frames for work since I'm in construction and there seemed to be a disconnect with my provider and the office. I was told there was a possibility that my insurance would not cover my lenses but that maybe they would...? The representative was very nice, she was definitely doing her best. She told me that her manager would be in the following day and they'd get back to me about my inquiry and here we are nearly 3 weeks later and I called to follow up only to get the same wishy washy maybe response. It was my first time to visit and I had come as a walk in for my daughter. They could only take one of us but it was simple enough to schedule and appointment. The staff to start was very friendly and helpful. They had warm smiles and were very patient every step of the way. The optometrist was absolutely awesome. She was very friendly and explained everything related to the eye tests as well as the information regarding the prescriptions. She was very knowledgeable. They had a great deal of eyewear to choose from and prices were decent. The only downfall was that timeframe to get the glasses. All in all I highly recommend them. The receptionist, to the assistant, to Dr. Smith herself; everyone made me feel like a valued customer. Came in for a super duper long overdued general eye exam. Her assistant was very thorough with me and explained what each machine does. Dr. Smith was also thorough and took her time with me on my eye exam. She was patient when I had questions. I had some specific frames I had in mind but this Optic Gallery does not carry that style. So the receptionist was kind enough to call another location and asked if they carried the brand. read more

I really like this office on Decatur I've always gone to this office only even though I live in the southwest.They do have an office close here to where I live on Tropicana and Fort Apache I believe, but I've only been to the Decatur office. I called this office because I was in dire need of a new eyeglass prescription and new contacts. The person I spoke with over the phone was super friendly and informed me of pricing and what was included in my insurance. That was a huge plus to me because she went above & beyond to make sure I had the information along with answering my questions. It was also impressive because I literally called 20 minutes before they closed. Usually you'll get someone over the phone with the tone of "ok hurry it up cause I'm almost outta here"...but not at this office! Day of appointment -- Checked in and though their system was down, it was smooth and simple. Carla assisted me before I saw Dr. Cheung and she was awesome. Dr. Cheung was so sweet and helpful. She really took the time to make sure I was getting the right prescription for each eye. She was also super informative of the results with my digital retina exam. I am especially appreciative of their fast service and ability to fit me in, in the middle of the week with no prior notice. I was in and out of the exam in less than an hour. I wasn't even seen. When I called the office to let them know I would possibly be 10minutes late due to an accident on Decatur, I was told that it's fine. But upon arrival, the receptionist promptly said, "you can't be seen today, because we are too booked. How's the 27th?" I responded with my apology regarding my arrival, but also added that I need to be examined sooner because the headaches from my squinting are becoming unbearable. All to which she stated, "So you're seeing another doctor?" Her crassness and obvious annoyance just pissed me off. I am very pleased with the service I received from Dr Smith and her staff. Everyone there was very friendly and made it easy for me to feel very relax from the first visit to the 5th . It has been over 2 years since I had used contact lenses and I remembered why I stopped. The experience I had from my old Optometrist was very unsettling. It seemed very rushed; as I remembered, I stop using them 3 months after I got them since I was getting blur vision and was told this is normal. However, I finally got fitted with new contacts and it only took THREE try and guess what. No blur vision or that irritating/annoying sting I use to get. What I love most is how patient Dr Smith was and how she worked with me until I was very comfortable with my new contacts. Honestly, I have no reason to go anywhere else for my eye exam and the best part is that she has earned my family's yearly eye exam. I highly recommend others to use OPTIC GALLERY. read more

GIST: Went to this office they prescribed me glasses, then said I didn't need prescription glasses, and then didn't want to give me a refund for the glasses I bought. I went to this office because they took my insurance. The first time I came here they didn't look up my correct insurance plan and was trying to charge me a ridiculous amount when my insurance covered my whole visit including glasses. I had to tell the receptionist to double check my plan and she finally found the correct plan. The one she was trying to have me pay was my back up plan for when I was to covered under my parent. I went through my appointment my insurance covers $100 something for frames and they didn't have any frames that were in that price range so I had to pay out of pocket. Couple weeks later I received my glasses. When I told the worker i felt like the prescription was too strong she advised me to wear the glasses for a week and see if my eyes would adjust. I gave it time and I finally contacted them and went in for another appointment. I went in and the doctor said I didn't need prescription, but she said she was going to order a protective lens for my glasses. When I came to a realization that I didn't need prescription glasses I called the office to ask if I could get a refund for the glasses. The receptionist said, "Since you signed an agreement that all sales are final you can't get a refund." I explained to her that I only signed that agreement at first because at the time the doctor said I needed prescription glasses. It's a shame that the receptionist is not personable because the doctor is very friendly. The receptionist kept saying things like, "I'm just telling you what they teach me to say." Don't be a robot there are ways to handle certain situations and she failed she had no compassion at all. I don't even want to go back to pick up my glasses that I can't get refunded for because of the lack of customer service and compassion I received from the receptionist. read more
