The glasses they made me were blurry in the center. The doctor told me it was a glasses, as did another woman who tested them in the machine. So then they have me speak to another person who tries to convince me they are correct and I should just get used to them. I asked her if this was the best they could do and she said yes, so I got my money back. Lots of places to get glasses. For my first visit/glasses prescription, they didn't realize I had astigmatism (prisms in the glasses I wore into my appointment) and I couldn't see out to the lenses they prescribed. The second visit / prescription, I couldn't see my computer screen (too blurry at arms length) unless I pushed my glasses up so they were resting on my eyebrows o I was looking out of the very bottom of the lens. Hopefully this next time I go in, third time being the charm, I will actually be able to use my new glasses. Don't use this place. I will never go back! read more

DONT GO THERE!!!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. This was my first and last experience with this chain and in particular this location. Two weeks after I received my new glasses, while sitting down at dinner, the frame cracked and the lens popped out of my eye. I returned to the store and they said they would send them back "to see" if they could be fixed. It is now almost a month later, I have returned to my NJ home and continue to call them daily to get them to ship my glasses to me. Not once has anyone (by the way, they have NO MANAGER at this location) returned my calls. I just called back once again (6th time) only to be told that they have been so busy this week but will pass on my information to Yarima, who is the only person who can authorize my glasses to be shipped to me. read more

What an absolutely horrible experience I had at this place. The doctor is an older gentlemen who is set in his unkind ways and incapable of professionally dealing with an issue. He basically insinuated that my son was lying when we received his glasses and the right lens was blurry. When I suggested perhaps their lab screwed the lens up in production, he wouldn't have it and simply kept pointing to the paper with the handwritten Rx. Totally incapable. It's truly unfortunate for the girls working in front as they are all nice and accommodating. You also have to wait a ridiculously long time to get an appt and your glasses/contacts. I wasn't impressed when I went for my first exam but they were cheap so I went with it but the office staff are extremely unprofessional and rude . I called in today and the girl on the phone would pause so long on the phone I literally had to ask if she was still there. She couldn't answer any of my questions then started to get an attitude with me so I asked if there was anyone else I could speak with when she continued to get another woman on the phone who also gave me an attitude. The selection of women's frames is limited and dated, but I just wanted spare pairs. The opticians are incapable of fitting and adjusting glasses. They wanted to hand them to me thinking they'd fit. No! I had to make two extra visits and I finally gave up. When I returned home to N.E. a local optician shortened the ear piece and adjusted the nose pads so the glasses would fit. I saw two different opticians at the Estero Optical Outlet and both were incompetent morons. Would I recommend Optical Outlet? No. read more

Myers to make an appointment,they have an appointment in Estero closer for me the girl puts in my information with my insurance, tells me I'm good I get to the appointment 3 weeks later the girl says oh we can't get your insurance to pull up tells she found out that the girl who put it in didn't do it now they cat see me. I saw an ad from Optical Outlets claiming I could buy 2 pair of glasses for $69.99. This was to include bifocal or progressive lenses. Well, I knew that it wouldn't be that price and there would be a few add ons. I went there, picked out two frames which were $50 over the allowable $100 for each. Ok, I'll do that. I want one pair to be sunglasses. Oops, that was $80.00 more. Oh oh, this isn't going real good. Now, I asked for the total cost including the mark up for the sun glasses. $450.00!! What!! I thought that adds up to around $280.00, which includes the eye exam. Nope, $450.00! Wow. $450.00 comes no where near $69.99. Took my prescription and left. Bought glasses at Ft. Myers store in May everything was good till I broke 1 arm on frame went back to store and of course I could not buy a replacement arm had to buy another set of frames and when frames arrived I went back and girl at store switched my lens from one frame to other but in the process she stripped the screw in frames and 2 days later the lens fell out so I return to store and talked to manager Yarley so she took my glasses in back to fix and when she returned I noticed that she put a larger screw in frames and cut off the tip leaving a sharp point on screw and then she used clear nail polish to hold screw and when I questioned her about it say said that was normal. I complained to district manger and did finally get new frames. I hope this is not normal for all stores but I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO OPTICAL OUTLETS FOR NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more
