The office was extremely crowded and did not feel efficient or organized. Machines all over the place even in corners behind privacy screens. I felt very uncomfortable about all the mess. I believe I didn't listen to his initial timeframe. My follow-up visit was significantly more efficient than my initial visit. This practice operates on a one-person basis. I am astounded by the doctor's ability to maintain order and efficiency. The eye drops that were prescribed at my normal pharmacy were put on back order, so his staff had them sent to a pharmacy they knew had it. Minutes after the surgery, I cried because I could actually read the road signs! I haven't been able to do that without glasses or contacts since I was 10. My post-op appointment today was amazing! My results are phenomenal and I couldn't have asked for better! I am so so happy. Dr. Robin and his staff literally just made my quality of life so much better. Forever grateful!

Instead of working with me, Dr. Stanciu immediately started criticizing my appearance, telling me I looked "tired and worn out" and that in my industry, I should "represent what I'm doing better." She wasn't giving professional advice--she was putting me down in a way that felt personal and cruel. When I started crying, overwhelmed by how she was speaking to me, she accused me of having mental problems and told me I needed to "change my antidepressants." She said this while injecting me, ignoring the fact that I was visibly upset and crying during the procedure. The appointment became a nightmare I couldn't escape from. She also spent time mocking and belittling other professionals in the industry, bragging that she was an expert and others weren't. Then she looked at me and said I was a "charity case" and, with a demeaning tone, told me, "I'm not a magician--you expect magic with $1,000?" The way she said it made me feel worthless, as if I didn't even deserve to be there. Despite my budget, through her constant pressure and shaming, I ended up spending $1,700. I was embarrassed, I was hurt, and I felt bullied into spending more money just to be treated decently. When the appointment was over, she told me not to come back for the standard two-week follow-up. When I went to check out, the receptionist was confused and reminded me to schedule a follow-up, but I had to explain that the doctor told me not to return. It felt like she just wanted my money and wanted me gone. After I left, I went home and threw up continuously from the stress and emotional abuse. For context, I am a stage IV cancer survivor. I've been in 12 different hospitals and have had over 200 doctors involved in my care. I have fought for my life through chemo, surgeries, and procedures. Never--not once--has any doctor treated me the way Dr. Stanciu did. She completely disregarded her duty as a physician. My insurance said to get the eyes checked. I asked for an appointment they had one available for tomorrow at 10. I said that's fine but I'm closer to another location so they also offered today at 3:00 I took it. My eye check up was a little more involved but no major damages from the accident so I'm happy they suggested coming back if anything changes.
