I was very glad when the mini golf was over! Actually, I think my grandsons were as well. They also have daylight outdoor mini golf, which would have been a better choice for me. Afterward I gave each boy $10 in quarters (ATM and change machines on site) to play with in the arcade. Prizes were crap, naturally, but they had fun. A few games were out of order, sadly. I would not wholeheartedly recommend this venue, but it suited this Spring Break entertainment quest today.

The decorations are pretty cool, definitely very family friendly. I didn't find the holes very challenging, but the ones that were seemed impossible. They have a small arcade with about 15 games. Most seemed kinda dated, but the kids still enjoyed themselves. No prizes! But if you have little kids, that is kind of a godsend. There is a small snack bar inside so you could get a drink. They also offer outdoor mini golf, but it was too cold and we did not for that so I have zero opinion on that. The course seemed pretty small, but Corydon Indiana, It is what it is. Nice guy worked there, very helpful. Three stars just because it was fun, but just left something to be desired.

I came to hike last weekend and opted for the valley overlook trail. It seemed as though no one had hiked it in weeks with how many cob webs I walked through lol. It was EXTREMELY overgrown to the point that I stopped and considered just going back instead of finishing the loop multiple times. There were a good amount of trees that I had to climb over/under as well. I was wearing leggings and long socks (on me for not wearing a better material, but I got these leaves stuck all over my legs and now have chigger bites everywhere after wading through an overgrown field. Safe to say I won't be back anytime soon.

The park is dedicated and named after former Louisville Mayor David L. Armstrong, who was instrumental in its construction. They have ramps, tunnels, boxes, lines, ledges, rails, stairs and of course half pipes and bowls. This park is not only a skate park and bike park, but has been adopted by graffiti artist. There is some real nice art work here. The place is covered in it. The half pipe is about 24 feet high, in addition to 2 11-foot bowls, 2 8-foot bowls, 2 4-foot bowls and a six foot bowl. There is a lot of free street parking available to park and visit the park. I really liked this park. Everyone there was nice and working on their craft. This is one of the better options for skateboarders, skaters and bikers to do what they do, but in a controlled environment. There is an emergency phone on site and you are almost certain to not be alone there. The city did a greta job putting this project together.

This park in particular has had some amazing improvements. The water is much clearer now you can actually see the fish. Squirrels and birds abound, including hawks. We see deer regularly and occasionally see a fox or a coyote. On this Red Trail hike I rarely heard a bird (didn't see any). No squirrels, no nothing. Why? Is all of Jefferson Forest so devoid of creature life?

Robsion Park was close by ,so hubby and I found our way there. The park is directly behind the Lyndon post office and parking can be accessed using the driveway beside the post office. Posted hours for the park stated "Dawn to dusk." I was surprised by how well-maintained the park is and how much larger it was than it appeared at first glance. There is ample paved, private parking. At the entrance to the park are two large play areas for children. One appears to be for the younger set and the other for older children. There is a half-mile paved, level walking trail around the perimeter of the park with a short paved bisecting walk if one doesn't wish to go all the way around. All of the walking path has trees lined on either side for shade. There are multiple large, grassed areas for volleyball, badminton, hacky sack, soccer or anything else one could desire. There are covered picnic areas and restrooms. The restrooms were open for use, but I didn't go in them. There were panic/help buttons throughout the park for use in emergency situations. This park is perfect for dog walking and also is a perfect park for those who may require level, paved paths. I look forward to returning with my dogs!

There is a very nice walking trail that splits into different directions and can keep you busy for quite a while. My children are now 8 and 10 and I still feel they can enjoy the playground. It offers something for children of all sizes. The inside facilities could still use some updates. The workout area is still not something I feel drawn to use as it is squeezed into an area that all people pass through on their way to class, the pool, or any other parts of the facility. The area is dark and glum and, since I have enough trouble finding self-motivation to work out, this is something I'd like to see changed. I'm not sure the facility has a better space for it, but daylight and more openness would go a long way in improving this experience. Kudos to the facility for offering a variety of classes ranging from fitness (including yoga, swimming, Zumba and more) to after-school care and even guitar lessons. It is a well-rounded facility that all ages can benefit from. I have seen seniors doing aqua aerobics and there is a small daycare room for the younger children. This could be improved with increased toys and activities, but it is offered and can help a mom get a workout in when she otherwise might not.

Great camping spot! We rented Osprey cabin by the lake. It was about $50 a night. There's a fire…read morepit, plug in heater, AC, outlets, a full sized bed frame, twin bunk frames, and a little nook up a ladder over the door. No mattresses, so bring something. This cabin has a water spigot right outside, and is a 4 minute walk from a building with bathrooms (stalls with doors) & showers. There's a porch with a chair and porch swing. The sun rises right behind the swing over the lake. The campground gets very crowded, but this bundle of 4 cabins feel secluded enough. We had plenty of privacy from neighboring cabins and other campers. You have to reserve 2 nights online for cabins. This cabin was showing a single night of availability. We had to call to reserve but it was worth it. They'll let you book just one night like that if you're within 2 weeks of the date you want. Oh and this weekend in October they have a big Halloween thing so lots of people decorated their spaces and there was trick r treating.
