My 92 mother accidentally (gets confused with remote) ordered 9 video on demand shows ...mostly fighting. She is on direct pay and when I came to her home and saw the statement I called them and they refused to credit, even though she obviously made the connection in error and did not watch over a period of 5 months. To steal money from a 92 year old woman with only one check (SS) is unconscionable. I have had suddenlink for two years about two weeks ago my Internet completely stopped working I was hesitant to call Suddenlink because I didn't want anybody at my house then when I called the Internet was kind of working kind of in and out and I told the lady what was going on somebody came out to check on the Internet and they couldn't figure out what was wrong so they changed everything all the plugs and all the wires They checked everything outside and it started working better I get my bill and I could charge $60 for somebody coming out. I have never complained about this Internet even though I know I pay entirely too much I called customer service they were no help they even act like they cared they wouldn't credit me for the week I went without service.They have definitely lost a customer. read more

If you listen to their call center then they do not have a "Supervisor" that you can talk to. After several failed attempts to contact a Supervisor I was informed that their Supervisors do not take nor handle phone calls and that I would not be able to speak to one. Furthermore their installers are Liars. Had a schedule for one to come out between 8 and noon. The guy never showed up. He never knocked on the door, he never called, NOTHING. But when I called to find out why he never arrived for the install they stated that he submitted the ticket as no one being there. THERE WAS 3 VEHICLES IN THE DRIVEWAY!!! We were all there. For that reason we were denied a supervisor and they wouldn't come back out on that day. But they are quick to take your money. For a company that is dependent on their customers you would think that they would be more dependable and have Supervisors. If you try to contact the Corporate Office you get the same phone number that leads to their call center. If you try to start the on line chat they never connect even after 20 minutes of waiting. This has been the worst company since Cox Communications. They whole company is a joke. My suggestion would be to either use your cell phone company for your internet and go with Satellite or find another provider. read more

This seems to be par for this cable company. First, there DVR services is horrible. Try to watch something later and fast forward through the commercials and most of the time it will take you back to the previous place you fast forwarded. It took me forever to get to the end of a movie. 2nd, even if i have authorization to make changes to my mom's account I can not cancel...she had to. So i can do just about anything i want on the account except cancel. My mom is 94 and does not need the hassle...that is why I'm on the account. I ttried to cancel and i asked the operator if i could speak to a supervisor and he kept telling me they would tell me the same thing, i kept saying i want to talk to a supervisor and he hung up on me. my experience with Suddenlink is a bit different than others as I have always had friends within support and had things fixed within a couple hours. but my internet has been super reliable over the last 10 years, with drops once every 6 months or so. I also own my own modem and router, and are relatively high end. soo yea maybe I'm just super lucky. read more

This company bought out Northland cable in my area and my internet service has been awful since. I am trying to get a Technician to my house but they are telling me it will be 2 weeks before anyone shows up. My internet is down half the day, and at peak hours, if it is up, I get a 1100 ms ping to Google.com. (it should be around 30). For Residential service, I would recommend going with a DSL provider in the area and Satellite for TV. Even though the DSL companies won't give you the big download numbers, at least your Internet will function and won't have to deal with a latent upload. read more

Going to join the club. These guys SUCK. The doubled billed me a couple of years ago and could only put it on a debt card and could not simply credit my account. Funny, I have other companies tell me that they were sorry for the issue and that they would credit my account. I've only been in this area a short time but, already I can see that the customer service is just atrocious. Called several days ago to get some equipment replaced or repaired that died after only 5 months. When I called I was told it would take 3 days to get a technician here between 10A.M and noon. At 12:30 I called to see why the technician was so late and I was told that they never submitted the order for my technician. I can see that this company is not going to work out. Totally enjoy having spent my last 4 Saturdays waiting on a technician not to show up when scheduled. The one time they do, the technician tells me a lie "you're up and running!" then proceeds to leave when in fact, the internet is not working. Get on the phone with customer service and said the technician needed to come back out to register the modem. Why didn't he do that in the first place? After waiting 20 minutes for a call back, I kindly told the representative that I am interested in getting internet for my apartment and that I wanted to know their rates. He (the customer service rep) hastily listed their prices for my area. After he was done, I said "Great! Thank you. I will have to think about it" (because the prices he provided were not close to the advertised prices I was receiving in the mail). The customer service representative hung up before I reached the end of that sentence. It was very rude and made me wonder if I got internet service through Suddenlink and needed customer service, would I have to deal with this person or someone just as rude..? read more

Horrible company. You always receive far slower speeds than what you pay for--whether you use their router or your own. If you need to call customer service, don't bother. You'll be on hold for hours no matter what due to "longer than normal hold times". When you finally get ahold of someone, they'll either hang up randomly, or not fix the problem. The call center usually doesn't understand what you need and you'll get transferred multiple times until the line is finally disconnected. They will repeatedly fail to make appointments and the local Suddenlink business will just tell you to call support. It's impossible to do anything online except add more expensive services that don't work. Find another company. read more

Been having Problems, scheduled an Appointment, Received a Conformation Email from Suddenlink for today 10/6 between 8am - 11am, at 10am called to see when someone actually going to show, and MY Appointment Not on their Schedule. Called Customer (NON) Service, in some other Country who spoke Really Really Really Bad English who wanted to set up another appointment a Month away, and Yes, I would get a "Conformation" email. I assume like one I still have that Suddenlink FAILED TO SHOW UP FOR. Their cable internet to our home was always completely unreliable. It went down so often I had their tech support on my speed dial. When it started going down every week, and they started telling me it would be a week before they could even send someone out to look at it, I reached my breaking point. We discontinued service because we moved to another state, sent their equipment back to them. We then got a bill for the equipment with a threat to send us to collections. So we payed $100 above the bill to make sure there wouldn't be anymore hidden charges. They sent us to collections, and now after trying to prove to Sunrise Credit that it is paid, they continue to show that we owe and Suddenlink won't help us because they show we are no longer a customer and have a 0 balance! And they still haven't refunded the $100 extra that we sent! BEWARE! read more

Customer service agents are not empowered to fix problems and have no escalation path beyond telling me that i will get a call back from a supervisor within 24 hours. Been 72 hours - no call. DO NOT USE suddenlink. I would argue to say what they are doing is criminal and illegal. I had full service at my house ($250.00/month) for 18 years. I purchased a new home and added suddenlink service to my new home. I then listed and sold the first house and it closed on the 10th of the month. I called and canceled service on the 8th of the month. They billed me for the entire month. I called to find out how much I should pay, knowing that I would pay about 1/3 of the month. They informed me that they bill for the entire month regardless of how many days I had service. I mentioned that I am not leaving them and have added their service at my new house. They don't care. I will now be canceling their service at my new house, but I will be sure to do it on the last day of the month! THEY SUCK, stay away at all costs. read more

If I could of given them a negative star I would. These people are so crooked, they almost make the democrats integrity look ok. This business of increasing your bill every month just because they can is just the tip of the iceberg. When they make mistakes as they often do, getting a human on the phone that will do anything about it is next to zero. The real culprit may be that Altice was allowed to purchase Suddenlink. Now, the latest ripoff is that if you go into your local office, you can't these people to do anything about over charges, you have to go through the customer service number and I already covered that. The latest nonsense appears to be that if you cancel, not only do they gouge you on internet if you cut tv, but if you cancel it altogether, its likely they won't prorate the month. If they have billed you a full month of service, and you quit in the middle of the month, they won't give you a credit is what I was told in the office. What I did was remove the payment method, and then you get control of things. I am going to figure my current bill myself, send them a $1 and refer them to my letter, that they refused to do the right thing, and so just tell them I am done, and here is $1 even though you really owe me. My girlfriends and my first apartment together started this month and I've been trying to get our internet as our jobs depend on having it, and our tech didn't even show up yesterday to activate, no notice or anything. And so we called and have been on hold an hour plus each time and after multiple supervisors telling us that they would send someone to us, we are now on day 2 with no internet. And Steve yesterday wouldn't even let us speak to a supervisor. Very frustrating!!! read more

I have Suddenlink Telephone, Cable, & Internet I had been having a lot of intermittent trouble with my telephone service. on 5/14/20 a service tech came out to my house. At that time the telephone was working, so he said he found no problem. And Altice charged me for a serivce call. Next day the phone was no working again, so I called for service. On 5/16/20 service tech came out and replaced the phone modem. I called Suddenlink and said I should not be charged for a service call since they had to come out again. I was told I would not be charge. on 5/28/20 my bill came and the service charge was on it. I called again and was told that I would receive the credit, but not until the June bill, but I had to pay the bill in full including the s/c to avoid a late charge. So I paid the full bill. on 6/24/20, the bill came and no credit. I call billing dept and explained the situation and that I was told I would receive the credit. The billing clerk reviewed my file, and said nothing had been placed on my record and in any case, Altice does NOT ever waive the service charge unless I had Safeguard at $6.95 a month. Even if it is Suddenlink's fault, the customer is still charged for the service. I asked the clerk whether she thought that was fair, and she said NO, but there is nothing she could do about it and she understood my frustration. So if you even need service, first buy the Safeguard and understand you can not cancel it for 6 months. Shows what a monopoly does. Very Sorry Co!!! read more
