I apologized for the mix-up and said, "Let's just cancel it. I'll have to reschedule another time," because I couldn't wait an hour. What surprised me was that no one mentioned there would be a cancellation or no-show fee. They simply let me leave. About an hour later, I received a phone call telling me I owed a $50 no-show fee. I was shocked because I did show up--I was simply there at the wrong time due to an honest mistake. Had someone reminded me at the front desk that leaving would result in a $50 charge, I would have stayed for my appointment or made a different decision. Instead, they said nothing and then charged me afterward. I spoke with the manager/owner, hoping they would show some understanding given the circumstances, especially since this was a free consultation and I had physically come to the office. Unfortunately, there was no willingness to work with me or make an exception. The interaction left me feeling that collecting the $50 fee was more important than earning a potential long-term client. Because of how this situation was handled, I would not recommend this business. In my experience, they seemed more concerned about collecting a $50 fee than building a relationship with someone who could have become a loyal client for future aesthetic treatments. Everyone makes an honest scheduling mistake from time to time, and I believe customer service is measured by how a business responds in those moments.
