If I can give 0 star I would! Stay away from this place ...I have them my frame to put new prescription lens, they said 7-10 business days, after 20+ days, some trainee called me and said "we broke your glasses" I asked if they can compensate for my frame they said I have to talk to manager .. three 30 minutes holds over 3 day later a lady tell me manager Matt is going to be there between 9-5 tomorrow you can come in. I asked if I can get an appointment with him as I will be driving 45 minutes each way to get there.. she said no you can't! But he will be there 100% next day I drive there ...guess what he is not there! Not a single person had decency to say sorry or let us try to figure out options.. long story short I took my broken frame and left they did not compensate for the braking frame and they charged me for the eye exam that was covered by insurance!! I still have to deal with that .. 20 hours wasted and 20 days later I have broken frame and no glasses!!! read more

I would not recommend this store at all. Although I have been going for awhile I tolerated it because of the location. I had an appointment and the day of they cancelled. THEY not me. Worst customer service. Their store phone number will never connect with them directly, it goes to general customer service the then you will be told that the store persons will call you back. You will never get a call back again. They keep calling us for appointments unnecessarily, we had visit with an appointment 3 times to just order the contacts for my daughter who has been wearing contacts before too. I went to this Princeton location in March 2022. I had an appointment. It was not crowded at all when I arrived at 2:20 on a Wednesday afternoon for my appointment. I was promptly told to wait in the back. Then Eric did some eye tests. He was very nice. Then I saw Dr. Williamson who did additional tests and examined my eyes. She was also very nice, pleasant, and answered all of my questions. Eric helped me choose glasses and helped me figure out what the best scenario was to use my insurance for maximum benefits. He wrote it all down for me too. He was helpful and personable. All in all, it was a pleasant experience with these two employees at this location. I had no issues at all. I cannot comment about other employees there because I did not engage with them. This Visionworks location is in the large Nassau Park Blvd. shopping area, located diagonally across from the AtHome store. It's at the shopping section directly across from the PetSmart shopping area, but at the way opposite end. There's plenty of room to park over there since several of the stores are vacant. You can schedule an appointment online and also fill out all of the paperwork online. I recommend this location based on my good experience there. read more

I go out of my way to make an appointment, take time off of work, and when I show up on time and the employee says yeah that's not going to happen today. They didn't call me before the appointment to reschedule, they didn't do anything to let me know, they just said when I showed up that they can't do the appointment. They are always rude to people too. No explanation, just trying to get me to reschedule. I don't have PTO time to burn just for them to not hold up their end of the appointment. read more

My family and I had the best eye appointment we have ever had. The eye doctor was amazing and my prescription is perfect. My husband and son also love their glasses. The care and professionalism by the gentleman who took care of our frames was equally kind, efficient, and had us out in no time. When I asked if I had any restrictions on the frames I got to choose, he said "You only have to love them!" I am thankful we found this store--our eye happy place. read more

A trifecta of disorganization, rudeness, and lazy employees! After checking in for my appointment and being told to sit at an empty desk, I watched for nearly one hour as the staff "worked" on paperwork, mostly chit chatted and joked with each other while customers waited, and took care of customers who came in after I had. (These were customers who on check-in stated they had no appointment!) A blond woman finally came over to take care of me once the store had emptied of all other customers, and the short gentleman who had initially checked me in but was purportedly too "busy" to help immediately scurried over from his "paperwork," stood over me, and started yelling at me, claiming Dr. Patel, the optometrist would be unable to take care of my contacts exam. No one apologized for his behavior or the inexplicable one hour wait. Instead I was informed that I should return in five days for my exam. As for the glasses I had purchased two weeks earlier and was having issues with, they refused to address my concerns. Truly surreal! read more

Service very unpolished. Picked up glasses and employee seemed like she was bothered that we needed an adjustment. Once adjusted she didn't ask if it was okay or if it needed to be further adjustment, she just walked away to "help" another customer. I just called to get an appointment at the Princeton location and inquire about insurance . I was trying to help my son find a place close since he is in college full time and works full time but for some reason the receptionist was laughing and snickering at me while I was trying to decide which times works best . I was on phone for a total of 60 seconds so trust me I was not taking up her time . I am thankful she found me making an appt for my son so funny because that led me to the most professional woman at LENS CRAFTERS LAWRENCEVILLE who did not laugh or snicker at me for making an appt for a busy family member and got him in right away and answered all insurance questions . I truly Appreciate professionalism and this Vision works is clearly lacking in that department . read more

On my first visit they didn't confirm my insurance prior so I had to reschedule even though they saw my insurance from a previous visit. I ordered contact trials. I don't think they were ordered. I went into store to check on status of order since on line didn't see my order. I was told per UPS tracking they would arrive on Tuesday. It's Friday, no update and I can't get through to anyone to check on the status of my order. No one answers phone, automated service doesn't see my order. On line chat not responding. Not exactly sure about all the terrible reviews on yelp, but the associates seemed great, and helped me out with my insurance stuff and the optometrist was knoweldgeable. I got two pairs of glasses and they gave me ample time to look at literally all of the glasses. I was worried the would complain about me trying on so many (as someone would need to clean them all afterwards) but they seemed fine with it. Also, and perhaps this is due to COVID, but only one customer was dealt with at a time and they were essentially booked out for an entire month. Clearly the comments here aren't wholly reflective of their service irl. read more

The doctor was very nice and very knowledgeable, but the staff at the front were so rude I felt the need to write this review. I went in last week for my first time and the staff were very condescending and rude, talking behind their customers back while I was there just because of a pick up mistake or whatever idk who's fault it was but, very unprofessional. Picking up my glasses today and I called to see what time they close and again very rude and when I said thank you to end the call I hear the phone hang up like I asked him 100 questions. Next time I'll choose I different in-network place from my business. Again doctor was really nice but the staff could use more training on how to talk and behave professionally. read more

Taking my business elsewhere! If there's a negative star I'd give it. I'm fed up with Visionworks. I really needed my contacts and I've been checking online everyday and on day 14, the system finally indicated that my contacts are in. Since I've stretched my last pair by a couple of days already I stopped by on Friday to pick up. However, they refused to give me my contacts! The gal said that the person/manager would need to check them in first before they can release them to me. Drove to the store on Saturday again and told them what happened and the contact manager said they should have released the contacts to me on Friday. UNBELIEVABLE!!! There's a couple great staff there but my experience with all others have been TERRIBLE (last year the staff didn't place my order until the following week and caused a delay!!! Don't they understand our urgency?). We have options and I will not be going back to Visionworks ever, this location or others. read more

I'm a new patient of Dr Cowles and I'm quite happy. She's very knowledgeable and professional with an excellent bedside manner. She's really patient as well while I try every contact known to the industry because I have an astigmatism that causes problems with the fit. She only works at this location on Fridays but that's not a problem for me and I can always go to the Monroe Township location if I can't wait - I highly recommend! read more

Yesterday, my sister and I visited this store for the first and last time. Upon entering a sale associate who was already assisting a customer, greeted us and made us aware that someone would be with us shortly. So we took that time to look at frames for my daughter. In the back you could clearly see and hear a group of associates in the back conversing. After about 15 or so minutes a man appeared from the back, sat at a computer and began typing. Huh? There was only 1 customer in the store besides us. Clearly we must've been invisible to him. We simply left. However EVERYTHING happens for a reason, across the parking lot is Walmart Optical, where we gladly went. I was given a discount due to my insurance, was assisted by two great associates, and my daughter will have her glasses in a few short days. I hate piss poor customers service. After further investigating and speaking to other ppl, it appears as though all Visionworks have this same issue with customers service; Lazy associates. The beauty in all this? There's other businesses within the area. Furthermore, with so many recent and old complaints you would think corporate would look more into this to rectify these issues. read more

I just stopped in a few minutes ago looking for a new pair of glasses. I have already been to three other locations and was recommended to go to Visionworks by a family friend. I walked in super hopeful but was immediately disappointed when I walked in. No one greeted me as I entered or asked if I needed help. When I found a pair I was interested in, I approached the lady at the counter but she was indifferent to my questions. Maybe they wrote me off because of my age (I'm in my early twenties and went without a parent). Little did they know my insurance is fantastic and they would have received a big pay day. I am upset and annoyed at their poor customer service and bias. I do NOT recommend this place. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We came to pick up contacts and had to wait for 30 minutes while people who came much later were being serviced. So after 30 minutes we ask them if we can get the contacts but all they say "wait right there, I'll be right with you." Which, of course we proceed to get ignored for at least another 10 minutes. After finally waiting that long someone finally goes to the back and gets the contacts, BUT WAIT they're the wrong brand and there's only enough for 6 months. I ordered enough for a year, so I ask him, "hey we got enough for a year." Of course, earlier when we first came in he didn't even ask for our names and proceeded to get someone else's random order. Furthermore, as we are leaving he says "please leave, we don't serve people without patience." I'm sorry if I rushed you, but to pick up contacts it takes at most 5 minutes. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER. Also FYI do not recommend interacting with the short bald man, he's quite irritable and doesn't have any respect for customers. read more

The doctor and the staff paid a lot of attention to me. I got one pair of glasses later that day. Everyone from the staff on the floor to the examining room was very patient and really took the time to explain stuff to me. My prescription is dead-on. read more
