Last year, Dr. Ferro spent a great deal of time making sure my prescription was spot-on, as well as allowing me try out a certain pair of contacts. There is one thing you do NOT want your optometrist to have: HALITOSIS!!! Oh my GAWD, Dr,. Ferro has the worst breath on the planet, and he's all up in your face breathing at you while doing your exam so you are a total captive audience. Don't walk....RUN...far away from him! I've always had trouble with this place and ordering contacts online. They never tell you when your prescription has expired and if your stuck in a jam with no contacts they won't help you. It happens every year and I'm sick of it. read more

Dr. Ferro has an extensive background in optometry. I came in for a routine exam and found out I had an abrasion on my cornea. Dr. Ferro knew how to treat it without having to send me to an opthomologist and even gave me the drops for free. He really cares about his patients and it truly shows. Dr. Ferro also takes the time to answer your questions and explains everything you need to know about your eyes. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great optometrist . read more

My optometrist that I had for 15 years retired so I was looking to find another great doctor. Unfortunately, Dr Ferro was not it. I booked an appointment with Dr. Ferro based on a recommendation from a friend. It's also close to my office. I got there about 15 minutes EARLY. I filled out the necessary paperwork and the doctor complained about his receptionist not being there and his having to look up my VSP. There was some issue that they did not resolve even though I made they appointment two weeks in advance. After a bit of back and forth on the phone all was straightened out. During this time a customer came in - who was a friend of his niece - that wanted to look at eyeglass frames. He was extremely rude to her and would not let her look around. So...he rushed me to the back and was short with me and kept telling me he was running short on time. I felt rushed through the whole exam and I am not confident the prescription I received is even correct. In retrospect I should have taken the time I needed to ensure I was making the best choices during the exam. I think I was just so shocked by his behavior that I quite didn't know what to do. I am also very surprised that he has so many high reviews here. Maybe I caught him on a bad day? Not sure, but I will not be returning or recommending him to anyone. Ever. read more

This was my first visit to any optometrist and it was very pleasant! Thanks to all the Yelpers for steering me in the right direction. Dr. Ferro seemed like such a nice guy and gave me some useful advice while helping prescribe the right lenses for my somewhat blurry far vision. My insurance through EyeMed is pretty awesome and covered pretty much anything I could want with the exception of maybe the $300+ Pradas in the office but he never tried to do any kind of hard upsell knowing that (though I said I'm only wearing them in the car and grocery store so he wouldn't have had luck there). Found some cute Tory Burch glasses that make me want to wear them all the time. If I have the same insurance I'm coming back next year for sunglasses for sure. Only negative could be parking as I had to walk a block and a half away... but seriously could use the 5 min walk with the junk in my trunk of late ;) read more

Dr. Ferro is awesome. I have been going to him for the past 3 years and although his hours are very difficult for me to work around, I trust him with my eyecare needs. However... please bring back Sandy!! I miss her friendly attitude and wonderful personality. The new person is just lackluster and not very pleasing to deal with. read more

i really enjoy this place everyone is so nice and abundantly helpful. the Dr. is very thorough and patient. i took forever to choose my glasses and ripped up the store trying on every pair they owned and still they were very nice and helpful. When i got my glasses i had a hard time adjusting to my new prescription they did everything they could to see that i was happy they sent the glasses back and had a lower prescription put in to help me adjust with absolutely no fuss. they really do a great job , they have all different types of quality glasses for all different people & price ranges and they accept my insurance benefits which is a plus. I'm a fan and i will definitely suggest this place to all my friends and family read more

Really nice place with a good selection of high end frames. doctor was very friendly and really wanted me to get the best fit for me. He recommended a large number of frames, let me try all of them on, and did not rush me at all! The eye exam was thorough and he made sure I was happy with everything. Staff was very friendly, and they validate parking in the complex's parking structure. Overall I am very pleased and can't wait to get my new glasses next week when they arrive. Thanks! read more

I have been going to Dr. Ferro for years. He does an excellent job on checking your eyes and never pushes expensive options or frames. He is the only eye doctor I have ever found that is like that. He fixed my glasses several times for free (same pair for 8 years). When I needed eye drops he wrote down what I could buy over-the-counter inexpensively. Can always find meter parking cheaply in front of his office. This is my first YELP review ever. read more

We just had our first fitting for our 10 year old to get contacts. They purposefully schedule the session at the end of the day so that you can take your time attempting to insert the contacts and practice. Dr. Ferro demostrated on his own eyes the procedure so our duaghter could see the best way to put them in. He then stayed with her as she practiiced the insert and removal several times before we left the office. Very patient, informative and kind. read more
