She takes the time to report the results and recently explained an MRI result which was concerning to me. Twice my husband has received very bad medical new from a 3rd party that had assumed we had already been told by the doctor, but he hadn't. It's a shocking way to receive bad news. The staff was good. And Tria the pa, is outstanding..: she's outstanding because she listens, and goes the extra for you. But what upsets me is I can't speek to any one in the office directly, and when I leave a message they don't it relay it. Doctor Fightlin has been my mom's primary care physician my entire life and did not have issues. However, when my mom had a medical emergency and wound up in the ICU in Costa Rica, Dr. Fightlin and her office staff displayed callous apathy and delayed action. It took 5 days and multiple messages for Dr. Fightlin's office to call me back, then they tried to skirt responsibility when I did get a call back from her staff, and then her staff offered invalid reference numbers and case numbers to give insurance. My mom is stuck in a hospital in a different country because no one in this office, including Dr. Fightlin, cares to help. TERRIBLE!!! read more

Medical Assistant in the front Cynthia in the office is the worst. My family and I have had many experiences with Cynthia and the medical assistants they send forward specifically for when a bad mistake had been made. When the office or doctors or physicians assistant makes a mistake (people are human it happens every once in a while of my family's 30 years of coming here) and you're calling the office to try to get it fixed and it's not happening and you point out how bad the mistake is - the front desk medical assistants or nurses or managers they transfer you to or ask you to wait and send up the desk to deal with you are awful. The normal everyday people at the front desk are wonderful - the ones that deal with when an egregious mistake and negligence has been made are horrible. They're not there to comfort you, help you, agree that there's been a failure in the system that will soon be remedied, they're trying the best they can - no. This office has decided the way to deal with it is to stonewall you. If you don't accept stonewalling and press further, then the next step is to gaslight you. They stop when you threaten to tell the doctors - who are wonderful people who would never be okay with this behavior. This review isn't for the doctors or physicians assistants - it's for Cynthia and the designated nurses or medical assistants at the front desk for when the office has failed a patient. Not that the doctors have failed but when the front desk and medical assistants fails to do what is within their capacity to fix what needs to be remedied. In my case, the PA made a mistake and was out the whole day. The four times we called throughout Wednesday day, we kept being told that the PA would be called to remedy. Today Thursday we were told we were ignored and not helped all day because the PA has that day off. I'm out of the ER, my issues are emergency level. It would have been the offices job to recognize my saying that, and ask another doctor there to cover for the PA - which is well within their capability and duty. This was the PA's mistake but the offices failure. When I started saying the office should have let us know the PA was out for the day and asked another one of the many doctors to cover for the PA to get this fixed or let me know this wasn't going to get fixed today so go to the ER, I was given to Cynthia, who stonewalled me. Not the first time this has happened to me or my family when a mistake is made by the front desk staff. read more

The slowest referrals I have ever had to deal with in my life. Referrals have taken WEEKS when I have never had to wait more than a couple days. They also don't check if they are referring you to the correct specialists who can do What you need. So when they get it wrong you have to wait even longer. They are nice- the doctors are nice- but this process is ridiculous. read more

Good MD Doctors (Richmond and Shoapour) at this Office, BUT the Office Staff is HORRIBLE! Dr. Richmond is my FOURTH Dr. and Dr. Shoapour is my FIFTH doctor at Optum, the WORST Medical Group in So Cal, because every other previous Dr. left the company in disgust with Optum, and one was a Founder of Oso Med Gp, Monarch/Optum bought out! The Office Staff is Incompetent, RUDE, they take WEEKS to secure referrals and is non-responsive to changes in outside Referrals. They've hung up on me and talked over me (Referrals Clerk) while I tried to correct who she was mistakenly sending a Referral Authorization to!! I've filed a Grievance with SCAN Health Plan over their incompetence and Rude treatment. I needed a CT Lung scan changed, I called FOUR Times over Three Weeks and nothing! When You call the MV office, expect to be left on Hold for 10 to 20 minutes! I am switching Medical Groups, I am fed up with this incompetence! PS - Optum headquarters in Irvine CA is even less helpful! read more

First of all, the front staff members are super helpful and always pleasant. I visit this office regularly and they have a helpful attitude. I typically deal with Melissa, the nurse who assists Dr. Fightlin, and she's terrific. She is very efficient and competent. Lastly, I see Dr. Fightlin for my general care. She was recommended by my cardiologist. She's thorough and pleasant. She caught a suspicious spot on my skin that my dermatologist overlooked. It turned out to be cancerous. Dr. Fightlin listens to your concerns and doesn't make light of anything. I've had 2 other friends switch providers to Dr. Fightlin because she impressed them, as well. She's offered multiple methods or treatments to help me with my Fibromyalgia, my heart rhythm issues, and my chronic insomnia. I know everyone has unique experiences when visiting a doctor's office, but I've had a great experience here and I've been coming for 10+ years. read more

My doctor, Dr. Jahroumi, left this group a month ago and needless to say, I will be following him to his new practice because of the poor quality of the office without him. I can't get my medications refilled on time without making several calls, I can not get anyone to return my calls despite leaving several voicemails, and I've been left to interpret my own test results. Dr. Tria Brummond is where it's at! I've visited and seen a plethora of Drs. And none have come close to making me feel as safe, listened to, and cared about as Dr. Brummond. She truly, TRULY, is a model of what a Dr. Should be. She actually LISTENS to what you have to say, and she's clearly happy to be doing what she does. She has such a lovely personality that curb stomps that anxiety into a corner. She just makes you feel comfortable and happy your seeing a Dr. She talks WITH you, not at you. She's like a friend you've known for several years when you come to visit her. She truly , deeply cares about her patients and you can see it. I really hope more Drs. I really like Dr. Fightlin as a doctor but trying to get a prescription refill is impossible. I had to have a telehealth apt. just to refill my arthritis meds I've been taking for almost 2 years, as well as another medication. The physician assistant called in the prescriptions but one needed ins approval (and the doc just needs to say it's medically necessary) and the other justs needs a small change on my mgs. The pharmacy had reached out to the office 4 times, I've talked to both the refill dept. through Optim, as well as the nurses/receptionist 3 times. I still don't have my meds. Good thing I won't die without these meds but imagine if I was diabetic or they were necessary heart medications. I'm ready to switch to a doctor who will follow through with filling prescriptions. Between the pharmacy, the Optim refill dept. and myself, they have received 10 messages since the original prescription. Not okay. read more

I visited here the day after Thanksgiving this year for Urgent Care, fully prepared that it was going to be busy. I arrived right when they opened, only 1 other car in the parking lot and 1 patient ahead of me. I was greeted promptly by the girl working the front desk; it's always nice to receive a friendly hello especially when under the weather. A short wait later, I was roomed by medical assistant Adrian I believe his name was and saw Dr. Richmond. Both were so nice, thorough and professional. My whole experience from start to finish was great. I was in and out of Urgent Care in under an hour. I will definitely visit again when needed. read more

Dr. Richmond is a family doctor who has provided great service for my wife and me. Optum seems to be a large group which bought medical practices all over the county. They also have Optum bank for your HSA. They have a laboratory company in the same building, and recently completely renovated the building, so it is quite nice. It is almost impossible to get through the front desk. We made multiple attempts to call the office to ask questions and request for medication refills but were unable to get through. We waited an hour on telemedicine because the doctor was running late. Of course we couldn't get through the front desk to find out if they forgot about us or just running late. I live about half way between this location and the other Bristol Park walk-in location in Fountain Valley. Usually I make my decision whether to drive North or South based on the traffic. Today I went South to Mission Viejo. This was my second visit here, and I have to say I think I'm going to drive South from now on. The wait was a lot less, both in the waiting room and in the examination room. And Mission Viejo seems to get a different clientele, with a lot fewer children. I prefer not to go to the walk-in, but unfortunately my boss requires me to bring a doctor's note whenever I use a sick day. OptumCare Medical group is a first class, well run medical practice. They are open very convenient hours (the urgent care is open evenings and weekends) and my primary doctor, Dr Stephanie Fightlin is excellent; caring, professional and has extensive medical knowledge. I have seen many different doctors/PA's there on the weekends and every single one reflects the high standards that this office promises. The front office staff is polite, patient, friendly and efficient. They run appointments on time and communicate if things get backed up. The entire staff answers all questions with clarity and in terms I can understand, and makes me feel cared for. I would not go anywhere else and also only see outside doctors that they refer to as they follow up with each other. Very, very happy with the doctors and all staff. read more

It's across from The Shops at Mission Viejo, but easy to miss if you don't know where to turn. The wait was short, and the staff was cordial and helpful. I'm a big fan of OptumCare, and Dr. Fightlin in particular. She is a truly excellent physician. Her bedside manner is outstanding; she communicates clearly and effective; and makes sure her patients understand her diagnosis and treatment.
