If there was a worse customer service in Miami, I will pay you. I walked in this morning and was "greeted" by a mature woman who demanded I provide her my name to enter the store. Last time I checked, Miami is in North America and not Venezuela. With so many stores in Doral, Opustone is not worth the visit. Definitely skip it. read more

I am a home designer and builder. There isn't one showroom that I haven't visited between Palm Beach and the Florida Keys and Opustone is by far the best! They have a spectacular selection of stones, wall and floor concepts. All of their locations are impressive, beautiful and large but I prefer Doral because of their customer service. My sales associate is Hector Hernandez and he is the best! He is professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about their inventory. He also has a great eye for aesthetics and design. We purchased our bathroom flooring at Opustone - travertine for two bathrooms and honed marble for the other bathroom. We are thrilled with the honed marble, which we bought at the Value Vault. It was wonderfully priced, especially given that it is so light in color, and looks beautiful. We paid more for the travertine than we had hoped and were not as thrilled with the quality. The travertine has some strange fillings that are darker than the stone, which really makes it stand out. We are not unhappy but would have liked more consistency, especially considering the pricing of it. We went back to get some backsplash/trim for the bathrooms and ended up with white shell-like mosaic which is very pretty. We are now considering adding on an expansion and plan to go to the Value Vault to see if we can score anymore of that beautiful white honed marble and travertine mosaic for the floors. Overall, we would recommend Opustone and say definitely check out the Value Vault. read more

Giving one star because I can't give a minus 100 - I am an interior designer with 20 plus years of experience and am still in shock after what happened at this store yesterday. After spending at least 2 hours with my client selecting onyx for their master bath , I wanted to double ck the slabs that were behind the "perfect" one in the front, only to find out that they were all in horrible condition , misshapen, with black stains and cracks and none of the beautiful movement or markings of the representative slab in the front of the rack. The perfect beautiful one in the front was suddenly "sold" according to the lying salesman!!!! Which he conveniently neglected to mention. Luckily I caught this or my client would have bought $75,000 worth of inferior stone. I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB and consumer affairs. Not sure if I should call it bait and switch or just outright thieves and liars. Always double ck the slabs and make sure the ticket on the slabs you're buying correspond with what's on your invoice. And make sure your fabricator cks it when they receive it. This is an age old trick in this business and so underhanded and unethical. Beyond disappointed and embarrassed that I put my client through this. One last note - the salesman and the warehouse worker were very put out and annoyed that I asked to pull the slabs and see the combinations side by side. Now I realize that they didn't want me to catch on that the slab i was looking at wasn't the actual slabs I would be getting. This is their job,- and this is a very big purchase requiring much attention to detail. Never take no for an answer or let a salesperson make you feel you are bothering the I am only thankful I was so insistent or this would have been a huge disaster. DO NOT SHOP HERE (I suspect the 3 good reviews on here are from employees or the owners) In response to your obviously pre written answer - this is a lie - the salesperson should have told us that the slab he was showing us was sold and NOT representative of the lot stacked behind it - he also should have told us that the slabs behind the "perfect" one were all cracked with black stains and broken/ chipped on the sides - thank god I was insistent - because your salesman and your worker were annoyed to have to move the slabs in the first place - and thank god I saw the garbage he was going to sell us without our knowledge - I also have a reputation to protect and my clients would have been out $75,000 for a horrible onyx - shame on you !!!! read more

I recently purchased two slabs (quartz and quartzite) at Opustone. After visiting 7 different stone distributors, my fabricator (Dario at Crislia Kitchen) insisted on Opustone. Compared to the other Distributors I visited, Opustone is exceptional--their selection and staff truly make them unique. Nadya at the front desk makes you feel welcomed and is very informative. And my salesperson, Hector Hernandez, was very knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating. Hector listened to what I wanted and did not pressure me to act quickly; in fact, I met with him 4 different times before making a decision. Updating a kitchen can be a daunting project, but Opustone made choosing countertops easy and fun. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Opustone! read more

Giving them one star because there isn't an option to give them a ZERO. The salesman sold me one piece to take home as a sample with the understanding that we could return it and get a refund if we didn't like how it looked in our home. When I showed up to return, he informed me that they could not return natural stone. The amount I spent ($48) on the sample wasn't even that much, but, the principal is that he lied. I came back to return the sample and buy 3 slabs for my kitchen counter but after this experience I will not make such a big purchase from them because they are not truth worthy. I will never ever buy from this place and I suggest you be careful. read more

I'd like to start by saying that the store is impeccable, offering a great selection. I accompanied my sister who is remodeling her home, to a 10:00 appointment, we were greeted in a timely manner. The front desk staff was very professional taking all the precautions due to the current pandemic situation. The environment was fine until a small man began yelling across the showroom, it appears he was the owner or someone in some type of authority position. Very unprofessional behavior displayed and belittling the lady who was attending us in the reception area. I can say the products are beautiful and Barbara was knowledgeable offering us a variety of design ideas. But unfortunately, the environment was completely clouded by the bad taste of the morning greeting, it is simply of bad taste and ill-mannered to mistreat your employees, especially in front of clients. I hope this serves as a positive complaint. read more

This is the worst place to buy marble or tile in the city of Miami. They sell you defective marble and charge a lot of money. They hide the defects--broken edges, holes filled with grout and tell you it is Grade 1. They were very difficult when I tried to return the marble--which was not worth even putting in. The showroom is beautiful but what you get is NOT. read more

Be careful! Bought a slab and went to cancel the next day and they said "all sales were final". Salesman said I signed form where it stated all sales were final. Salesman never mentioned it and yes, he put a form in front of me and told me to sign in 2 places. Didn't say what it was and never got copy. The slab is in their yard. Purchased less than 24 hrs before requesting cancellation. Wanted to cancel because found same stone at different locations much cheaper. Too many places in Miami to buy here again. read more

We recently purchased granite tiles from Opustone in the Design District. Beautiful showroom and great selection of stones. That is where the positives stop. Their prices are quite reasonable because you pay for shipping. They do not arrange as all other tile companies do because they wholesale. But they neglected to tell us we had to arrange our own shipping. We live in New York City and had no idea how to find shippers. It took almost three weeks for them to finally help us find a shipper. Once we found a shipper Opustone misquoted the weight of the pallet. The trucker reweighted to find it weighted 1000 lbs more than they told us so guess how much more this is going to cost. So their prices seem very good but the trick is shipping is really expensive business to residential. Had they arranged our shipping it would have cost less than half so don't be fooled by low prices. They need to learn how to be retailers if they are going to deal with end users and not designers and contractors. It's really unfortunate because they had a really great selectiion of stones.f read more
