Ambiance: it is what gives it automatic 3 stars... food: ribeye- great flavor but presentation super basic, literally its just the meat. For price being paid, plate should have also another small side, or butter on the meat, or roasted garlic on the plate... literally anything else... drinks are specialized and for that they did a very good getting their point in the glass... my drink tasted like vacation Dessert: best gelato, very competitive. Service: without judging character very, informative could be a more ppl person but it was end of the night probably tired. Host young guy very cool and helpful. Wish i could give 3.5 stars Definitely worth a try,

There's only good things to say about ORA and it's a total MUST to go back again and again. I wish they were in my neighborhood. Went to ORA for a dinner with gfs and qas so pleasantly pleased with a wonderful dinner. Ambiance was modern, pretty, classy, warm and cozy all in one. Great for dinner with gfs, date nights, families. They also have a separate bar area with TVs for more casual nights, which we got to enjoy after dinner to watch the Knicks game and a lounge upstairs, which is nice for after dinner cocktails. Food - omgoodness! For apps, we got the scallops and mussels. They were both delicious. Scallops were light and fresh and the mussels were light but deep in flavor. For mains, we got the spicy rigatoni, bucatini (I think), rib eye steak, and crispy potatoes. The pastas were perfectly al dente and flavors were spot on and sooo good. I was also surprised by their rib eye steak, which was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and tender. I honestly didn't expect too much from their steak, but it was GREAT. So happy we ordered it and can't wait to bring my husband so he can try one of their steaks as well. Crispy potatoes, exactly as said, but better! Service was very warm and attentive. Our server always checked on us to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted and gave us some great recs for dinner and cocktails. This is a spot I'd choose every time I'm in the area and definitely need to go very soon for a date night. Thank you, ORA, for an amazing dinner.

My husband and I came for an anniversary brunch. The service was good and attentive. I do want to come back and try the dinner menu. I tried the smoked salmon pasta, and a pizza. The pasta was al dente. The smoked salmon is on the salty side, but that's to be expected. The star of the meal was honestly the Gelato. The Gelato was sweet and salty - I'd go back purely for the Gelato. I didn't care for my mocktail. It was too sour for me.

Came here for the first time on a Thursday night for a birthday dinner. We were very impressed with the ambiance and the service. There is a separate bar area, dining area and a lounge upstairs. We did not get to see the lounge as there was a private party that night. There is free valet parking as well with a suggested tip of between $5-$10. The appetizers we ordered were delicious and our entrees were even better. The drinks were strong but not overpowering and the dessert was the icing on the cake. This is an upscale restaurant perfect for date nights, birthdays or anniversaries. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

We had a great experience at Ora. It was our first time there and it was very impressive. The ambiance was very modern, yet still had a quaintness to it. Noise level was great. The hosts were all smiling and attentive! Our server Ed was friendly and knowledgeable and did not hesitate when we asked his opinion. The food was delicious, we started with the baked clams, nicely balanced with crumbs to stuffing ratio. The entrees were excellent, my guest had the Scallops special, cooked perfectly, cooked through but not rubbery. Very flavorful. I had the double cut pork chop, again, cooked perfectly, not easy to do. They were accompanied by thick cut fries. It was delicious. We finished with what I could only call a cross between a crème brûlée and cheesecake. I highly recommend Ora in Oradell.

My wife, reading the NJ Monthly constantly gets me trying new restaurants pretty much anywhere. We are today it was Ora. Great ambiance, full bar and pretty terrific food. We started off with a salad, followed by a short rib pizza for my wife and a Mafalda pasta dish for myself. Can't really complain about either of the dishes or the salad. They were really very good. I started it off with a bloody mary while my wife had a glass of Nebiollo. Good bloody mary by the way. Today we came here at early afternoon, so we're thinking we may need to come here at night sometime to see what it's like. Once again my wife picked a good one. We started their version of a Caesar salad, which was very good. My wife craves pizza, so she went for the Short Rib pie, while I went with the Malfade pasta... Mafalde (a la carbonara, guanciale, egg yolk, pecorino & black pepper)... a dish I would order again and again. Trouble was the pizza looked so good... I just had to have a 'bite' and we ended up sharing both meals. We finished by sharing a Gelato for dessert, which was fantastic. There was a 'name' for it, but I'll be damned if I can remember it or find out what it's called online. Regardless... it goes without saying... we'll be back!

I went for dinner tonight with my friends. I'll say the ambiance and drinks were great! I loved the whole vibe of the place and our waitress is so friendly. However, my food was lackluster. It wasn't necessarily bad but my pasta was a little salty for my liking. I'd go back but try something else I think.

I cannot speak highly enough with how satisfied my wife and I are with having chosen Ora as our wedding reception venue. Michele and her team truly made us feel like royalty with how well they serviced our entire wedding party. The moment my wife and I walked into the venue space, one of the servers, Tim, approached us with our signature drinks and another server, Gianna, immediately offered to make us a plate before any of the guests had access to the food. Not once did we ever have to go and ask for a drink or food; Michele and the servers were already by our side the moment we thought of ever needing anything. Throughout the night there was always a drink in our hand, water cups filled to the brim, and plates of food ready at our sweetheart table. They also extended this same courtesy to our guests by consistently offering passed bites and drinks; they really took care of everyone. The venue space itself was also gorgeous; the upstairs area is already well furnished from the regular restaurant decor, but Michele really adhered to all of our requests with our decor and flowers, as well as our seating and table arrangements. Also the quality of the food and drinks were phenomenal; you can taste the passion that the chef and bartenders put into their work. I really didn't get to catch their names, but hats off to them! Our favorites included the steak crostini and short rib grilled cheese from the passed bites, all of the main dinner courses, the entire raw bar, and the Old Fashioned (which is a drink that can easily be messed up, but Ora delivered every single time). Ora is a fine establishment that is definitely here to stay and I am so glad this is a restaurant my wife and I can revisit every year for our anniversary.

This is the place to be!! Just when entering this restaurant you're greeted with beautiful decoration for the holiday season. You can tell someone put great time into the aesthetic of the restaurant. We had a reservation upstairs and it was a beautiful space to dine, comfy and cozy! Our waiter was PHENOMENAL!! Shoutout to Donnie, he was charismatic, attentive and very kind. He checked in on us quite often even though we could tell he was busy, and never failed to come with a smile on his face. Now the food was the main show of course. We ordered pizzas, mussels and the meatballs. My personal favorite were the mussels, I really felt like I could drink the sauce it was so delicious For my main I had the garganelli pasta, it had a perfect balance of mushrooms and cheese, truly creating a warm delicious meal. I would love to come back to try their other menu items, I'm especially eyeing their desserts! (I would give a perfect 5 but we did have to wait a bit for our table, understandably a busy holiday season)

Went to Ora for dinner for two with reservations. Parked a block away in the street but they do have valet parking. Upon arrival we were seated immediately. The hostess was very friendly. Upon sitting down we were treated by our waitress. We ordered cocktails. The margarita was overly sour. I like sour but this was over. The presentation of the cocktail was nice however. Appetizers: The Caesar salad (has a different name on the menu) but this was very good. I wish the lettuce was cut smaller so I had to use a knife to eat it. Nonetheless it was good. The meatballs were good, not the best but still good. The toast had good flavor but it was very hard even when you dip it in the sauce so I did not finish this. As my entre I ordered the branzino. This was delicious. The creamed spinach was also delicious and the presentation was interesting. Lastly, the service was a bit disappointing. Our waitress seemed out of it or at least disinterested in serving this night and it unfortunately showed. I like to give people grace so I still tipped her 20%. I hope all is well with her but attention and service is part of the experience as a paying customer. All in all, the atmosphere is very nice and the decor as well. It is a nice place to go for a date night, out with friends or to host a celebration as they have event space and a bar upstairs. I went to an event last month and it was great!

My husband and I were so excited to try Ora and it did not disappoint. The inside is absolutely beautiful and the service was exceptional. My husband had the cigar box cocktail which was recommended by our waiter Hugo and He really enjoyed it. We started with the calamari and mortadella and both were great. My husband had the garganelli and I had the scallops with the pistachio pesto. Both were very very good! We can't wait to go back and highly recommend! read more

Wow, what a massive disappointment! With all these solid reviews, I expected something wonderful. Instead I I experienced woefully slow, uncoordinated and unprofessional service and substandard food. And all of that at these insane NYC level prices. After being seated and after a long wait, our server finally steps up and first words out of her mouth, "I'm sorry - we are shorthanded tonight." Well - where can things go from there? Nowhere good that's for sure and indeed it was a foreshadow of the type of night ahead. Appetizers were almost comically bad. The grilled octopus is way too citrusy and good luck finding the teensy weensy octopus - I imagine it was in there somewhere? The meatballs were about as good as what you would buy from Trader Joes and cook in your microwave. My steak was about as good as a diner steak. No, really! And the special sauce was nothing more than some bottled BBQ sauce. Some of our sides were missing, but our server assured us "she gave the order to the kitchen!" No check backs if drinks were needed etc. Some of us started our dinner missing utensils. Oh, and you get one tiny slice of bread per person at your table (which came out AFTER our appetizers and right before entrees.) Gee thanks, hope you can spare it. "Freestyle Italian" my butt. On a positive note, the decor is quite nice as is the bar area. And at least the Valet parking was efficient and professional. Never again. read more

We did and it was great! We have been there before and was told they do chicken parm Monday's. I'm not sure if I got the right information. Because we had a 630 seating and they ran out of the chicken parm!! That was the I the only reason why we went and e went out in a Monday. Not many people go out to eat on a Monday. I was shocked about that!! But what a way to make your restaurant busy because that place was Packed. Also every time we ordered something they ran out of it. Such a bummer! Oh well still a great place. Maybe put the chicken parm on the menu if it's that good it's an easy staple.. just saying! read more

Decor is Beautiful! The first initial hello with the hostess was not good ! Representing your restaurant! Then we go to the bar (paying 18 plus for drink) where's the smile - omg I was shocked no life - tell us about your drinks I mean really - you want 20% tips - not happening! Then your making drinks for $18, not measuring for a margarita??? Really it was so bitter...you need some training with mixologists if you r charging NYC prices.. If you cant make an espresso martini or margarita something is really wrong! 2. Everyone that represented this restaurant looked miserable - How do u hire people like this? Sad read more

Finally came in to try Ora and it lived up to the hype! We came around 6 on a Tuesday and got a seat at the bar. Restaurant wasn't full to capacity but was decently busy so I'd recommend a reservation just in case. The restaurant is beautiful. Modern with character and a cozy, upscale vibe. Was beautifully decorated for fall. We started off with some craft cocktails and they were delicious. We ordered caviar cannoli, clams casino, Italian chopped and swordfish Milanese to share. Everything was delicious in flavor, came out at the appropriate time and it was plenty for the two of us! Chopped salad and clams were by far my favorite. We will absolutely be returning and hopefully enjoying the moody cocktail lounge up stairs too. read more

Food delicious! Service perfect! Space beautiful! We- friends who hardly get a chance to be together- arrived at opening time. About 30 mins later a party of 3 arrived and were seated one table away from us. Odd, but ok. After another 30 minutes a couple arrived AND WERE SEATED NEXT TO US. The restaurant was EMPTY. Why oh why did we have to be seated next to each other? And.... each table had a different server so "stations" is not the answer. Andre was super gracious during our dinner and I should have asked him but here we are. While everything else was great this left me wondering if I will return. read more

Having just moved into the area, my husband and I drove by this restaurant and knew right away we needed to try this sexy place out for our anniversary dinner. With Hampton vibes and Michelin star foodgasms this place will not disappoint even the most discerning of palates. We were blown away with every item we ordered from complex cocktails to scrumptious desserts, everything was delectably outstanding. What really took our culinary adventure to the next level was Kyle, the very talented in-house sommelier, who guided us through the perfect pairing of wine for each course we ordered. Just wow! Beautiful restaurant and great food. But watch your credit card bill. I got charged one number (original tab had a "discount") and then got charge back for said discount. Explanation was the bartender made a mistake. Not cool. I would go back, but pay in cash next time to avoid the shady ticket business. read more

Delicious appitizers and main meals. We tried a bit of everything and everything was good. Drinks were very well made. Bar area was very nice. Pasta was authentic and just like my nonna makes!! Service was wonderful and very well managed. Resturant & Bar was hopping at 6pm on Tuesday night (8/13). The crowd is always great to watch super chic super vibey, you can definitely dress up if you want. The food is certified bussin, the ribeye is one of the only ones I will eat because it is consistently amazing. You also have to try the soft serve especially the special flavors. You can come here either for drinks and ambiance or an entire Thanksgiving meal both work amazing. They also have an upstairs bar with an even better drinking vibe. I've always had a great meal here I highly recommend. read more

Ora restaurant is a lovely place & the service was up to par but the entree I ordered was missing the chicken sausage from the dish. The Chicken Scarpariello included the various pieces of bone in chicken, some quartered potatoes, a long hot pepper, but alas was missing the chicken sausage. I was told by our wait staff it was "crumbled not sliced" within the dish but I did not see or taste any chicken sausage in that order of Chicken Scarpariello. Sadly I was disappointed & recommend not ordering that entree...if you choose to do so you too will be disappointed. read more

We went specifically for monday night chicken parm special. Waiter was great and explained all specials and things on menu. We loved apps . Although we didn't drink, drinks looked great. Chicken parm came and looked nothing like the pics we had seen in advance. Half of the chicken had no cheese. My son took it home and added cheese and loved it. I loved my entree. The restaurant reached out to me when I gave them feedback after. They apologized and explained that they would have been happy to add cheese if we asked. Chicken parm is what it is. It is called chicken parm since it comes with cheese. While I appreciate the fact that they reached out, they didn't offer anything other than an apology to incentivize us to return. We won't return. The food menu limited, drinks priced like NYC. (when you're in Oradell NJ .) The host was not helpful. Service was awful. Waiting very very long for limited food choices. Drop hundreds for drinks. Third visit and was somewhat disappointed. The seafood salad was outstanding. Caviar cannolis were better the first time I had them and our server seemed like she'd rather not be here. Other tables were given bread but we never got bread even thought we ordered 2 appetizers and 2 meals Drinks were reasonably priced and the buena was delicious and pretty to look at. read more

I would rate this restaurant much higher if they didn't have so many children working the hostess stand and untrained wait staff and food runners. I visited this place twice and although the food was well executed the young staff have absolutely no clue in high end service or evaluating clientele reservations in a mature manner. A real shame considering the actual set up and decor. I don't recommend till they get a real management staff capable of training their high school student staff to the standards that match their pricing. Bottom line it's a crap shoot on seating and service. read more

Ora is really good. I've been wanting to come here since it opened and I'm so glad I finally did. The ambience is something that was needed in Oradell. It's very fresh and modern but with a rustic feel. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the food was really good. I sat at the bar and the bartender that was serving us was very helpful and down to earth. I had pizza, pasta and meatballs. The spicy rigatoni was delicious! Highly recommend read more

For our tasting, we loved everything we tasted and easily put majority of it on our menu for our wedding. These included Korean bbq skewers, siu Mai pork and shrimp dumplings, rice ball arancini, soba noodle salad, and coconut shrimp. Our guests loved them come wedding day. Additionally the cafe food at the venue is excellent, which many golfers who go to Soldier Hill Golf Course go to after their rounds of golf. When my husband and I first visited Ora, we had such a great experience that we decided to return for another date night. Despite arriving to find the restaurant fully booked, the hostesses were accommodating, informing us that a high-top table would soon be available. We appreciated their friendly demeanor and decided to wait. However, our second experience began less smoothly. After being seated, it took approximately 15 minutes before a waiter acknowledged us to offer water, and another 10 minutes passed before he returned to take our drink orders. Given that the section we were seated was not particularly busy, the wait was noticeably lengthy, and we were moments away from walking out. I noted the time because we were prepared to leave due to the slow service. Fortunately, once our meal orders were taken, the rest of the evening improved. Although our waiter was inherently slow, we chose to give him grace. The meal itself was delightful, matching the high standard set during our first visit. Additionally, the evening was enhanced by the charming patrons nearby; another couple even stopped by our table to compliment us on being a "great looking couple," which was a delightful highlight of our night. In conclusion, while the service had its lapses, the quality of the meals and the warm interactions with fellow diners ensured that our return to Ora was, overall, a pleasant experience. I visited this restaurant with a party of six. The space is beautiful, but unfortunately, the service was some of the worst I've experienced in a long time. We waited 45 minutes without even being asked for our drink orders. We had to flag down our server, who finally took our drink orders--then disappeared. When he returned, we had to flag him down again just to place our food order. While ordering, we mentioned that we were undecided on one side and would order it separately. However, the server insisted on taking the entire order at once, saying he preferred to give the kitchen the full order upfront and wouldn't accept any additions later. Frankly, at this price point, I shouldn't be expected to accommodate the kitchen's preferences. Despite our frustration, we agreed. The service didn't improve from there. We spent the rest of the night chasing down our server for refills and additional drinks, which was so frustrating that we eventually started going to the bar ourselves. To top it off, gratuity was automatically included--fitting, considering the lackluster service. To start, I got the Perfect Pear cocktail which had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. Drinks were strong and unique from other restaurants. For appetizers we got the little gem salad and margarita pizza. I never had a salad with fresher leaves, the salad was refreshing and the portion was perfect. Margarita pizza had bright sauce, gooey mozzarella with a perfectly charred crust. Garganelli entree was something I never had before. Flavorful, filling and all of the above. This is my new favorite dish packed with flavor and meat was cooked to perfection. The Pana Cotta dessert was also something I never had before. The staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the meal. For appetizers, we ordered the meatball and calamari, both of which were delicious. The meatballs were flavorful and perfectly cooked, while the calamari was crispy and tender. However, I found the main course to be a bit underwhelming. The swordfish Milanese lacked seasoning and could have used more flavor. That being said, the fish itself was fresh and cooked well. The black ink pasta was also average and didn't have a strong flavor profile. A Memorable Dining Experience From Start to Finish! We visited ORA on Saturday evening and had a truly memorable dining experience from start to finish. Every single dish blew us away. Two of our diners declared the double pork chop the absolute best they have ever had. The pasta special was in the exact same legendary category. We also loved the Gem Caesar salad, which was delicious and shareable. Ambiance is really good. It was a busy Friday comparing other restaurants in the area. Honestly I would paint the walls white instead of grey. Believe me it would look more elegant. Bar looks great. Service is good. They need to give attention for the glasses and wipe them down before service. Puting them in dishwasher not making the magic. Based on what i ate: Octopus appt: I like the taste of the potatoes in the plate more than octopus legs. You know what I mean!! Aged Ribeye: Unfortunately did not hit the spot. Wasted. Great experience. The cuisine is interesting and delicious. Our server Michael was very attentive and a nice guy. We started with sheep's milk ricotta as an appetizer which was served on Balthazar bread and was excellent. My husband had the Montana pizza which was a wood fired white pizza with sliced potatoes, fontina cheese and garlic. He enjoyed it. I had chicken Scarpariello which had long hots, potatoes & sausage. I recently dined at Ora and was pleasantly surprised at how tasty each dish was. Their cacio e pepe arancini were packed with flavor, their wood fired pizza mild in flavor but tasty, the grouper was fresh and delicious, as was their flounder. Their cocktails were perfect and refreshing, and their soft-serve gelato with a chocolate shell was insanely good. It's worth noting that the wait staff was attentive and the decor modern and attractive. We'll definitely be back. read more

Aside from the Garganelli, every dish we tried was disappointing considering the high prices. The stuffed clams were overly salty, the octopus was charred beyond enjoyment, and the pizza arrived cold. However, the Garganelli was absolutely divine. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the short rib was incredibly tender. I'd return just for this dish alone. read more
