Arriving early for an afternoon retirement party at Park West Loft, we stopped for a pre-party Bloody Mary at Park West Tavern. The friendly bartender made an excellent Tito's Bloody Mary. After a short wait, we headed to the Loft, which is a beautiful venue. The party featured excellent food and drinks, and the DJ did a fantastic job ensuring all the guests had a great time. We were also pleasantly surprised that street parking wasn't bad, which is always a plus. Impressed with both the Tavern and the Loft, we plan to return for Sunday brunch. read more

Stopped in for dinner. I was hoping to sit at the bar but it was full! We sat near the fireplace and had the Pearfect (pear martini) and Smokey Johnny (bourbon/brown sugar). Well we finally came back to try Park West Tavern after a negative experience years ago. I am happy to report Im glad we did. We made a reservation for Saturday night and arrived early. We sat at the bar to grab a cocktail before dinner. The bartender Mike, was friendly and made us a couple good drinks. The bar had a nice vibe so we told hostess we decided to stay at the bar, no problem. I got the steak sandwich and f.f and it was very good. Thick and juicy and cooked just right. We also got the Cobb salad with shrimp. Also very good with rather large tasty shrimp. Another good cocktail and friendly service and we called it a night. My first time at Park West was a birthday brunch party in one of the private rooms. Honestly I was impressed that our waiter kept up with all the requests people threw at him! I started out by sampling the ribeye egg roll and the chicken "nuggets." The egg roll was pretty good, although the inside did not appear to contain ribeye. The "nuggets" are really chicken tenders, and were quite good. The siracha mayo added a lot. My main was a broccolini omelet. It was a bit plain but certainly I got what was advertised. I still enjoyed it. Don't judge me, but I absolutely finished my kids' dessert - brownies with toasted marshmallows and graham cracker. It was the best thing I ate all day. 100% recommend. read more

The food and ambience here is great. Glad to have a local place like this near by. If you go there make sure to have Lucy as your server. I can't speak highly enough about her. I went on a quiet Sunday evening. Long story short, I'd come back but only for appetizers and drinks. Started off with a Peach Green Tea and a Bourbon drink. Both were great! For appetizers, we ordered the rib-eye spring roll (good) and the almond chicken nuggets (great texture, chicken was a tad dry so ask for ketchup/Mayo/ or more of the aioli mix they provide). For the entrees, we ordered the seared bronzino. I understand that fish should be naturally salty but this was VERY salty. The white beans were salty as well, so the only thing that wasn't salty was the broccolini (too few). The schnitzel was pretty good overall but had a generous portion of mustard - so if you don't like mustard beware! I hoped the dessert would be saving grace, but no... bread pudding is usually moist- this was not... maybe because it was a corner piece, maybe it was old? Not sure. read more

Service and drinks are excellent as usual, but DO NOT GET THE CHARCUTERIE BOARD! Everything wrong with the charcuterie board: We were told it came with prosciutto and brie which it did not. We wouldn't have ordered it otherwise. (See picture) Cured meats looked like they came straight out of the grocery package-- and they were really stuck together as if they'd been sitting like that forever. The BLOCKS of cheese were way too hard to cut and a proper cheese knife was not provided. We had to ask for a steak knife which didn't help much. The slate it came on had virtually no surface area to cut the cheese either. The bread (cut longways for some reason) was drenched in oil which got all over the place. The bread was also extremely difficult to rip and chew. Blue cheese would've been acceptable if the contents of the slate actually paired with it. (Like fruit or jam of literally any kind.) And, if youre gonna serve CHEDDAR on a proper charcuterie board, at least cut it up? I've been going to PWT for years and this is very unlike them, but for $37 I was expecting a bit more than a grocery store spread. 3 stars because I've never had an issue with the quality/presentation of their food until this. read more

Finally had a chance to try the Park West Tavern last week with a friend. It was a very wet evening due to pouring rain and thunder. It wasn't crowded because of the rain most likely. They offer nice seating outside on the curb, bar seating inside and have basically two rooms filled with tables inside. Great spot for a date, family or even a friends get together. My friend and I basically shared all but the drinks. We opted to start with oysters which were perfect!! We shared their famous Wagu burger and tuna salad. All were absolutely delicious!! Theres outing dining in the front and back of restaurant. Inside is very spacious. We came on a Sunday so we made reservations because we knew it would be busy for brunch. We decided to sit outside in the back because the weather was perfect for outside dining. For appetizer we shared the pita and hummus which was really good. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict which was good, the side of potato's was flavorful. At first we had the strawberry Prosecco punch which was very refreshing especially on a hot day. We than switched to basil gimlet. My first time trying basil gimlet drink and its my new favorite drink. Our waitress was very kind, and we had an issue with the drink she fixed it right away. I went to this restaurant to grab some brunch, expecting a nice meal. The ambiance was fancy, floor was clean, and my waiter was very nice. One problem I had with this was when I ordered a coffee with milk to go with my Western styled omelette, The milk in the coffee was in little chucks floating. As I knew that it was expired, I asked for another coffee with milk, and they gave me a cup with a LIPSTICK mark on it. I told them to take it away and to cancel the drink, getting a water instead. We registered in advance and when we arrived at the location, we were seated in a separate section for the trivia. The location has a nice, large layout with tons of seating. It was quite busy throughout the tavern, but it was obvious that the staff were all working as efficiently as possible. We also had specials available for trivia attendees, which was cool. We loved everything we ordered, including the drinks. Their menu has a nice variety without being too overwhelming. I love Ridgewood, it's filled with so many delicious restaurants just like Park West Tavern! The food here was absolutely delicious. I haven't eaten a burger in so long and this one was out of this world. I ordered their Steakhouse Wagyu Burger! Omg, the meat was cooked to perfection, portobello mushrooms with caramelized onions topped with cheddar cheese and truffle aioli!!!!! And I can't forget about their cocktails! I have been to Park West many many times. Every time I've been I haven't been disappointed. I had a birthday dinner last year with about 7 people and the service was spectacular. She was fast and very efficient. We ordered literally every appetizer and probably every drink on the menu. I myself don't eat meat but everyone who has it absolutely loves it so obviously 5/5 Truffle chips and dip $14 New addition to the mention! We love new things. It had a nice onion dip that was very tasty. A good amount so good for a shareable app. 4/5 Honey butter shrimp $17 I believe this is also new as I have not seen that before on the menu. It came in a very small portion. Maybe like 3-4 shrimp so not the best to share. The flavor was good. 3/5 For the entrees I never change, I always get the PWT Caesar $11 with white anchovy, parmesan crouton and I get that with salmon. I don't know guys but this Caesar salad is the best I've ever had and I've had many Caesar salad but this hits every time. And they always cook the salmon perfectly! 5/5 definitely. For drinks they have a great cocktail menu a lot to choose from. I'll begin by "Airing out the Aura": Let me gift you belligerent bunch with some retrospective vibrations. You deserve an in-depth visualization and fantasization recording the flavor of life I indulged in on that coarse, yet fine night. Ridgewood, NJ... for those unaware, unfamiliar, unburdened or ungrateful... is a bustling and perfectly ripened peach of a town in the Northern Region of the state. Imagine the disaster I, Linguini, live in... within a state and a country that lacks the prestigious and revered international delicacy of towns to actually promenade, shop and feast around? As an international traveler... my feet beckon for side walks, side streets, and numerous random spots to chomp down on some delicious grub whilst my nostrils inhale fresh air, whilst my ears absorb conversations I shan't be overhearing, whilst my heart skips beats purely from the love of life and living. Outdoor seating, that's a start Murica. Now that that's cleared up. It was a modest 72 degree night (yes Fahrenheit, apologies for my lack of elegance) with a touch of a breeze and... you wouldn't believe this... a full moon. A gorgeous one at that. I attempted to frame a photo of her but realized this was simply unrealistic. Unrealistic (although still lazily attempted) to grab her beauty through the lens of anything besides my eyes, let alone an iPhone cah-mah-rah. *Please pronounce camera as I laid it out.* Our eyes were now fixed on the moon, but originally they were set on another restaurant in town. This was until the only parking spot open on all the valleys of side streets was amazingly right in front of this spectacle of a tavern. Sometimes, things just be lining up like that, ya feel? The moon, acting as a pseudo northern light chose to seat us in some outdoor seatery right then and there. Ha. I chuckle. Who am I to deter fate? A little boy like me standing up to the moon... telling it, "no sir, try again"? No no no, not I. In European fashion I euro stepped right into the flow of eternal life. With the moon as the chief viewer, and the night stars as motion cameras I chose only one thing that entire night... and that was to thrive as an actor in a scene for the relentless, the gorgeous, the domineering celestial body we call the moon. The inside of this tavern was quite nice. Lovely booths and tables overlooking a brightly shining and cornered, yet center-piece bar. But as I mentioned before, we sat outside for it was our purpose. We fumbled with the thought of drinking and opted out for simple Diet Pepsi's and waters. So I can't comment on the drinks although they looked delightful. The menu itself was short and stern, like that babysitter you had from that country you can't pronounce. Huh? Anyways, the specials menu looked more than palatable but we were fixated with one appetizer... that being the almond chicken nuggets. I live by a few rules, these few rules I of course make up (and forget) when I feel like it and when they suit me best. This one rule for this one moment was trying things at restaurants that just sound like you'll never get them anywhere else. Almond Chicken Nuggets? Pshhhh had to. You may notice no images of said nuggets, and that is due to their deliciousness! Almond breading I believe, topped with shards of almonds, crumbles of blue cheese and a ferocious dollop of siracha mayo. We scarfed them down in a hustle, but without a sweat. Like Scooby and Shaggy tilting their heads back and in one stroke shoving a 2 foot sandwich down their esophagi after a night of ghost hunting with no Scooby snacks. Zoinkssss! Onto the entrees. Just as the appetizers and specials, they sounded delightful and endearing. The lunar lady chose for me though, she wanted to see the Amish Chicken Breast and so that is what I got. I ought not have a clue what the top-hatted butter-churning white as rice people of Lancaster have to do with this chicken breast but I appreciated the sentiment and felt cultured because of it. Chimichurri sauce? More like a shimmy out of excitement and a surey for more of that pleaseee. Some nudest potatoes hopped in some of the second sauce that glazed the bottom of the plating, as if nobody would see them getting frisky... making a splash with no regrets. They were young, just having fun. The delightful puddle of sauce seemed inorganic in the likes of a man-made beach surrounding a lake, but you don't see me or anybody else complaining. My husband and I stopped in on Monday evening for an early dinner. We were the only people in the restaurant just before 5pm. We grabbed seats at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and took care of us right away. We were advised that their shipment of oysters hadn't arrived yet, so that was the only thing we couldn't get. I was heart broken, but the rest of our food was amazing, so I quickly forgot I was disappointed. I started with the Bourbon Buck and my husband had a Manhattan. They were delicious and strong! The burrata toast was the perfect start to the meal. It's cut into 3 decent slices and the nduja is not too spicy. It was very good. Our entrees came out soon after we finished our toast. I ordered the short rib & shells and my husband got the Amish chicken with fingerling potatoes. Would I consider these "large plates"? No, but the portion size was perfect and both dishes were excellent. We really enjoyed our meal here. There's a bunch of TVs at the bar and the leather chairs are very comfortable.
