Our dentist in new haven does not treat pediatric patients. We were referred to Childrens Dental Associates in Hamden. They got us in for an emergency visit within 24 hours. The staff there, especially Michelle and Dr. Chen were incredible. They put my son at ease, and explained every single thing they were doing for him. Medical assistant - Felicia made me feel comfortable and at ease during the entire visit. She held my hand and coached me through my wisdom teeth extraction process and aftercare. She's an angel! Dr. Aruri - knowledgeable and pleasant. He explained to me why and how he does things. He showed me my X-ray as he made his recommendation without me asking! (none of my previous dentists did this). He removed two of my upper wisdom teeth at once using local anesthesia without any difficulty. Since I prophylactically took 800 mg ibuprofen before the extraction, I felt pretty comfortable up to 5 hours post procedure. Mild aching here and there x 2 days after but tolerable. I was able to eat/drink within 24 hours later without any complications. I highly recommend Dr. Aruri for your dental needs.

The front desk works hard to get any of my insurance questions answered (you know that whole insurance world can be confusing!) The dental hygienists that I have met are friendly, thorough and educational during my appointments. I have never had another office check my gum health and they make it a point to let me know at each cleaning if I have any areas of gingivitis and how I can improve my pockets. The doctors and the assistants here are all very professional and relatable and make an effort to get to know me at each visit. You can tell they are not out for your money and will only do work that is needed. I've seen two different dentists for two semi-annual cleanings since, and neither of them have detected any cavities. I think it's shameful that Savin lied just to make more money.
