On a whim, and on a rainy day, I met up with a friend for some coffee. I should have done my research before hand about ordering their coffee. Although, I didn't regret the green tea latte. This was creamy without being overly too sweet, and served at the right temperature. The only thing I can compare it to is Starbucks green tea latte which I'm not even sure if it's on the menu (or maybe I'm thinking of the green tea frappuccino). There was no chalky matcha taste that some green tea drinks tend to have. This was blended well and I especially appreciated how it was lightly sweetened without having to make any kind of request. I actually prefer the cafe when it's quiet and it seems a lot of people come in after 3pm (quite possibly the church crowd). It can get a little loud, but still the chairs and tables are comfortable. My only complaint is that it's a little difficult to order from a small menu at the counter. I appreciate how they bring drinks to you. This little coffee shop isn't the fancy shmancy modernized coffee shops you see open up these days. It has a peaceful and cozy ambience with more 2 seater tables. There are 2 tables that can seat up to 5 if need be. Some of their 2-seater tables have 1-seater sofa chairs which are friendly on your tush but don't expect too much. =) I understand that Faux leather go through wear and tear but I found the rip and tears to be bothersome aesthetically. Their WiFi is also intermittent so it may slow down your productivity if you are trying to get any work done but require internet. I love sweet potatoes so I really wanted to try their Sweet Potato Latte. My mom has been here before and recommended that I request my latte extra hot as hers was luke warm during her last visit. She decided to try their hazelnut latte this time, (We did not ask for hers extra hot. I guess I assumed they would make it extra hot after ordering mine extra hot and explaining she found their lattes to be luke warm.) The sweet potato latte was yummy but a tad bit too sweet in my book. Ordering it extra hot = perfect temperature!! I tried my mom's hazelnut latte and hers was very luke warm. hmmm. Lattes cool down relatively quickly in general; Therefore, I advise you to request yours extra hot. I did not order any of their desserts as I was already overstuffed from dinner prior to coming here. Their lattes are priced on the steep side but comparable to starbucks. I took a glimpse at their menu and noticed their teas are rather expensive as well. Their prices might deter me from making frequent visits, but I will be back to try some of their other items and update my review. read more

Came here on a business trip looking for a great cappuccino and what a find! A great little coffee/tea bar with some awesome macarons/dessert and coffee. I only wish I had more room to try their extensive dessert menu and their green tea which looked amazing. I was with a group of seven people and Orange Coffee had plenty of seating for our group and great ambiance. They open at 9, which is rather late for a coffee shop. I was at another business nearby, wanted a coffee so walked there about 9:03 today. Someone was outside, smoking, and putting out tables and chairs. He said to me "you might have to wait a little." I said, "oh, isn't it open?" And he said "I'm opening now." I went to Orange Coffee for the first time couple days ago, and it was actually quite nice. The quality of their products is excellent, but the reason why I gave the 4 stars is the price. I believe their price is too expensive for the product's size. I bought their honey dew shaved ice, and it was either 12.99 or 13.99. When they brought it out, the quantity was ridiculously small. Usually shaved ice of that price feeds about 3 people at least... I could've eaten that myself on full stomach. Quality is good, but quantity isn't. read more

Went here the other night thinking we were going to get lucky enough to try the Macaroon sandwich, but it seems they are still out of stock. We still wanted to try this place out since we were already here and decided to give a couple of things a try. 1. we started off with 4 different flavors of the macaroons. a. Mango - Super good b. Coconut - This was so so c. Apricot - Banging d. Chocolate - this was ok 2. The nutella espresso - This was simply amazing, probably one of the best things severed here. We wanted order like 5 more it was that good. I think we ended up drinking this as fast as you possibly could. I have been traveling across the country for work for the last month, and I have been dying for a good cappuccino. After failed attempts in 4 cities over the last week, my coworkers and I found Orange Coffee upon arriving in Duluth. Not only was their coffee amazing (the gentleman who served us proudly stated that it is the best coffee in a 10 mile radius, and he was correct), but we also treated ourselves to their Watermelon Shaved Ice dessert, which was incredible. Pretty good for a coffee spot. The moment you walk in you get the heavy scented aroma of ground coffee beans wafting and waning in and out of your nostrils. They are a korean style coffee shop so expect a mix of different foods and flavors being offered. I've had their iced coffee, iced sweet potato latte (try it it's delicious!), their jasmine tea and Indian earl grey tea and finally their bingsu which is quite large for the serving size (bring friends to share.) the bingsu which is basically korean shaved ice with condensed milk and fruits is served on a layer of ice with balls of honey dew and bits of sweet red adzuki beans that merge together to form a decedent yet light dessert. I also enjoyed their honey bread which is toast served with honey and fruits. The bread is hot and crispy when it comes out and gets a bit soggy from the honey but tastes amazing together. They do an exquisite job with all of the coffee drinks that I've tried so far, which include espresso macchiato, cappuccino and iced coffee, as well as drip coffee. The seating is comfortable and the staff have been very kind and accommodating, on one occasion making sure that a valuable shoulder bag containing my iPad was returned to me, even though it was left outside. read more

Came here with a friend the other day and I grabbed a menu and sat down, a young guy walked over and started speaking to me in Korean, I told him I didn't speak Korean and that I was still looking at the menu. He then responded that I cannot sit where I was because it was a table for five people. Mind you there is only one other group there and the table is not that big. This place is a MUST go if you're a coffee head. I've tried a few items here, but their americano is what brings me back. Unlike some "big brand" coffee shops like Starbucks, Orange's americanos don't really have that almost chemical taste. At Orange, their americanos taste so earthy and natural, and it's probably because they roast their own beans. That's right, this little coffee shop roasts their own beans and you can definitely taste it in their coffee. HIGHLY recommend checking this place out! read more

I am actually here while writing this review. This seems like a social coffee shop that is loud and what not, not exactly a quiet coffee shop to get studying done in unless you like to study somewhere with noise. I tried the sweet potato latte and its really good! I liked it. Its right across the street from the great wall supermarket. Seems really popular with koreans (I guess thats why people though I am korean and talked to me in korean? Do I look korean?). The people working here are korean and were old school with me (accepting my card with two hands and bowing- dude, ur my age, no need lol). Free wifi so I managed to get some work done while here. Very beautiful little cafe in Duluth with a small yet creative menu of drinks and sweet treats. Both times I've come here I've enjoyed the iced sweet potato latte and once sampled the hot version of the same drink. The drink in any version is spectacular and completely unlike what you assume of it. It has such an intense sweet potato flavor, I wondered how they were able to extract that much flavor from it. The warm version of the drink is less sweet and milder in flavor but somehow is a slight winner over the iced drink, probably due to the ice they pack in there. I love everything about this location other than their prices, even for me, a person that frequents cafés so much, $5+ for iced drink with loads of ice is paying too much. read more

Not really on the same page with all the four and five star reviews. I think Orange Coffee Bar is more of a three. It is clean. There is free wifi. I've only had one drink here - a cappuccino, and it was good (nothing spectacular). The atmosphere is a bit plain and could use more personality and charm like the places in Atlanta (Inman Perk, Dancing Goats...). Still it's not a bad coffee shop, there just happen to better better ones that I consider stellar and more deserving of a higher rating. If you're in the area, it's worth going to. read more

I have only been here once, but I have to say I really like Orange Coffee Bar. I ended up ordering the Iced Green Tea Latte, and it was sweeter than I expected but I am totally fine with that. I don't get the hype, I really don't. I came here with high expectations because of the reviews but was fairly disappointed. 1. Macaroons.. I see that a lot of people like them. Um... insider tip. IT'S FROM TRADER JOE'S! They sell them in the frozen section, a dozen macaroons of different flavors for $4.99. I'm kind of sad that no one noticed it before. They should tell people to let the macaroons sit for about 10 minutes before eating so the filling can thaw a bit... (That's what the box says!) 2. I tried their green tea latte. It LOOKED amazing. However, it tasted like frothed milk with some green tea flavoring in it. Almost bland.. nothing special. I could taste more of the milk than the tea. 3. sweet potato latte.I actually liked this one more than my green tea latte. It had more flavor and was just the right amount of sweetness. My friend thought it was okay, nothing extraordinary. This is located in the same shopping center as Kung Fu Tea in Duluth. It can be easily spotted from the street and has ample parking. The interior is clean and cute, with accents of orange. Although I wanted to try their Melon Bingsoo, I was too full from dinner. Instead, I opted for their Sweet Potato Latte. The latte was delicious, as it tasted just like the sweet potato cake from Mozart Bakery or Tous Les Jours. I think I would have liked it even more if it was less sweet.
