I expected him to stop so I could tell him where I wanted the load dropped but instead he pulled passed me, hardly slowing down, and pulled his entire truck into my neighbors back yard. He went back and forth 3 times before I could get him to stop and tell him that he isn't on my property. The ruts were terrible. He asked where I wanted the load dropped "in very broken English" and handed me the sheet of paper to sign. As soon as I signed it he dropped the load and took off with out talking to me about all the ruts. The driver never even needed to leave the street. He could've backed in from the street (roughly 10ft) and dropped the load without getting into anyone's yard. When my general contractor called the company to find out about fixing my neighbors yard he was told that the driver said, "I told him to pull into the yard" and I was lying. They wouldn't be fixing anything. That's my experience and now I'm paying twice as much for more dirt to be delivered and spending hours fixing my neighbors yard. This company doesn't seem to care what they damage and won't fix it when they do. This review is my first negative review to ever write and I believe they earned it when they told their customer he's a liar and wouldn't fix damage they caused.

You can get better prices at the big stores, but in the era when Blackrock and Vanguard own and therefore control shares of most big companies, it's likely that your money will be going to policies and causes that you are against. This is why I'm a Sutherland's regular. Ace Hardware is very convenient, but also expensive. Home Depot has low prices, but has gone liberal. Lowe's is far better. But Sutherland's is a local business. It has a wide selection of lumber, tools, landscaping equipment, plants and seeds. The employees try to be helpful, and succeed. Some of the materials are fitting specifically for Southeast Texas, not the one-item-fits-everywhere approach by Lowe's and Home Depot. And the prices are slightly lower than the Ace Hardware across College Street. The big boys are typically the first place we think of if we need something. If you need things for the house, I encourage you to try Sutherland's. You should love the experience. If you're a single woman looking for a husband, stick to Home Depot :-D

Lots of things to get, more than 40 aisles in this store filled with lots of workshop items, house items, furniture, and MORE! Every time I come here, the workers really help us out here, and very welcoming! The worker over the checkout, help us out with an issue, everything worked out great! Came to get some gloves, cleaning supplies, and ac filter. Worker AJ came to help us with the AC filter, when they didn't have the one for us, he recommended to order it on the app so we can get the size we need! Worker Terry helped us with looking for the items, an expert, tell her an item, exactly knows where it is! Lots of Halloween decorations, light up ones, inflatable ones, scary ones (my favorite), and others. Lots of plants here as well! Overall, this is a great place!
