I heard that you might have created a fiberglass replica of a 1975 Firebird bumper a few years back. I am hoping that you still have the mold still or at least one copy left hanging around that you would like to unload?

Sorry, we no longer have the molds. The only ones we have left are for VW Van's.

We saw many happy folks paddling in their water craft though, and large groups who, I'm assuming, went out on tours. We saw plenty of teams coming and going who keep their equipment there. Their restrooms are located on the side of the building and are open to the public. The reason we came to NAC is that they offer a perfect launch spot for paddle sports. This area of Newport Back Bay is very calm and leads into the estuary. It's a beautiful place to paddle, with abundant bird life and waterfowl, as well as "flying" fish, and no doubt an abundance of marine life below the surface. Besides being a launch point, many families with young children also appreciate the calm water here. The area between beach and boundary can be swum in and is quite shallow. As a side note, once out on the water beyond this boundary, one cannot swim or exit their paddle craft. There is a parking lot for NAC but there's also a large dirt lot for visitors, for the amazing price of $0! Great access, beautiful wetlands, calm waters...this is a perfect place for all types of paddlers, nature enthusiasts, and families looking for a quieter alternative to the beach.

This facility is top notch, and is the best spot to rent out a kayak or SUP if you're just here for fun, and a great spot to launch out of with your own boat if you have. The staff is always great and friendly, the backside of the bay is always a delight to explore and you can easily access the rest of the harbor past PCH if you're a bit more adventurous. Definitely a highlight if you're an ocean/water-activity enthusiast.

Fantastic service, great equipment, and overall a very fun family activity. My family and I came to…read morethe Newport Dunes to kayak for Labor Day weekend and wanted to go where the water was calm. We had a few first-timer and wanted to make sure it was easy for them. The business was sort of hidden/hard to find, so we gave them a call and they were able to point us in the right direction. Once we were there, paying and getting on the kayak was super easy! They also have lockers for rent for $5 for your whole trip. This place is also dog-friendly! The dunes itself was very pleasant to kayak around and easy to navigate. We went around 9:30am, so it wasn't super busy nor was it super hot. It felt perfect breezy! Super fun experience, and I would highly recommend them!

The reason they call this the Pirate Coast Paddle Company is because they will clip you for $50…read moreeasily for a 2 hour double kayak session, but the memories will last a lifetime. Park for free on the street, walk up to the hut in your swimsuit and flip flops and water bottle and you are set to go baby! They will take an ID from you and direct you to the beach shore where an employee will set you up in a one or two person kayak, show you the correct way to paddle, and push you off. Go to the left and under the bridge and you are in the calm waters of Dune Bay. Want more excitement--then go to the right into the marina and battle the currents--that's how you build arm strength! and courage keeping your distance from the boats. We did both and had a great time. When you return--look for the Return Here sign, paddle hard and beach the craft, and an employee will hold the kayak while you get out. Go back to the hut and get your ID back and pay. Most peeps stay out 1-2 hours. After 2 hours your arms are tired unless you just go into Dune Bay and relax and let the current take you wherever. After you pay go to the foot wash off to get the sand off, then walk to the restrooms and full out door fresh water shower. You did it! Tell all your friends that you got away from the Pirates! ---------- Just some notes: 1. Make sure you go to the restroom Before getting in the kayak--there are no restrooms on board (or food service). 2. And wear a swimsuit--I have never been on a kayak where you don't sit in a puddle of water and get splashed a bit. 3. And NEVER stand up in the kayak--it will turn over. 4. Do not kayak during a hurricane even if the Pirates say it's okay.
