I'm a huge library nerd. Always have been since elementary school when my dad first took me to the…read moremassive South Beach library on 14th street (It's no longer there anymore :( ) and that day, I checked out the book limit which was 20 books. Did I read all the books? No, but as a 7-year-old who hardly went out anywhere, that place was paradise. That's why the public library system is such a valuable asset; especially where children are involved. It keeps them out of trouble and in a place where they can actually learn something. Fast forward to many years later and my heart still skips a beat whenever I enter a Library. This Library in particular is small when compared to other libraries in central Florida, but it's also one of the newer ones so it's clean, well kept, and has a Lab room, but also a Technology room should you sign up for one of their courses. Which by the way is completely free. I try to take advantage of that when I can, just the other day I took a: "How to make a book charm class", and it was a delightful experience. I've seen that you can even learn how to program video games if you wish to go down that avenue, or if you wanted to, you could sign up to become familiar with various computer programs, even how to build a web-site, all free, why would you not take advantage of that? Other than books, you are able to check out DVD's and movies here as well. The staff is super friendly here, definitely will be back.

The counter staff seems to really care about the clients. I was shocked after not going to the…read morebranch in over a year due to in person classes being canceled I went to get a book for my children and the lady recognize both of my children even remembering their names. The staff is efficient with quick check in check out they have a great computer section with awesome games for the children. The only reason this isn't five stars is the book collection is very very limited especially foreign language books. Also the in person class offered for younger children and lower elementary children is also very sparse even before Covid. However these shortcomings may simply be due to less people patronizing this branch compared to the downtown branch. It does seem to have a lot less people coming in and the classes they do offer always seem to not be super super well attended. I'm guessing that's just because of the location. They do seem to do everything possible to make it a wonderful library experience and provide value to community without any additional cost for example the staff getting to know their patrons and going out of their way to remember of what type of books the children like and guide the children to those books.

It wasn't at all busy on this particular Sunday afternoon. The meeting room was plenty spacious and was able to easily accommodate that 24 or so persons in attendance. The staff was friendly. They facilities were clean. Sometimes it is just good to get out of the old comfort zone and see what else is being offered around the metro area.

It's got a great selection of kids books and access to virtual learning resources. The kids area is small but perfect. They have a sign that only adults with kids are to be there which I like for safety reasons. They do have other areas for seating inside and computers available. The outside is charming with rocking chairs perfect to sit and read on a nice day out.

Parking is tricky for members of the public but there are two or three public parking lots. Please note, if you plan on visiting this library call security or campus safety and they can provide you with a parking pass. Not only is this one of the best libraries I have visited (referring to study space, staff friendliness) in the Orlando area, it is also extremely comfortable. There are tons of different, unique, and spacious chairs to use. There is a section on the 4th floor called "Tower Reading Area" this unique space is hidden and tucked away. Tons of outlets to plug in your devices wherever you want to sit. There is also a gallery space and other displays throughout the library with artwork. Also, one of the most interesting automated storage and retrieval facility systems I've ever seen. It is super tall and stores over 12,000 bins holding numerous boxed items in a temperature controlled environment to protect the items.

One of the Best Libraries I've Ever Visited! I've been to a…read morelot of libraries over the years, but Montverde Library easily ranks among the absolute nicest and most impressive ones I've experienced. From the moment you walk in, it just feels right. The staff is genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful -- they go out of their way to assist without ever making you feel rushed. What really blew me away is the collection: per square foot, they have an outstanding selection of books, DVDs, and audiobooks. It's surprisingly well-curated and up-to-date. The facilities are fantastic too. The work areas are functional and comfortable, the study/meeting rooms are excellent, and the computer lab is better equipped and more modern than most I've seen anywhere. But the absolute highlight? It's actually quiet. In a world where libraries seem to have turned into noisy community centers, Montverde has managed to preserve that peaceful, focused atmosphere that makes a library truly special. The days that they are open the hours are from 8:30 am to 6:30pm. There is adequate parking and a convenient book drop off in the parking lot. It's a very small and quaint library. They recently added several books and dvds to their collection. They have a calendar of events in hopes that the community will participate.
