This park is so much better then it was before the rehab. It seems more responsible dog owners are visiting as opposed to those who don't watch their dogs when they tend to get aggressive. I've raced out of this park after severe fights in the past that could have been avoided if their owner weren't looking at their phones! II love that it's open early. Since this is the closest dog park, this is where the crazy mutt gets to go out to run off leash the most often. They segregate big and small here, though when I had my older 60lb dog, we would usually hang on the small dog side, and I still sometimes take my Jack to go lay with the big boys. The folks there are generally nice, considerate, and do a good job of maintaining control over their dogs when needed. I don't see too many stray poops left around. The grass could use more TLC, but there is a bit of shade and the dogs don't really care if they are running on dirt or grass. read more

REVIEW FOR SMALL DOG PARK *** I've been to a lot of dog parks and this has to be one of the best because there are just SO MANY dogs and a good sized grassy area! It's very close to my house too so that's a big plus. Many owners do pick up after their dog, but there are also many who don't so be careful where you step. There's only some shade in the surrounding area so people tend to stay at the edges of the park when it gets hot. One downside is that some dogs are just so aggressive and their owners think they're just playing when obviously the other dog is not having fun. It happened to one of my dogs a few times and I had to pick up her from being trampled. Just watch your dog and learn their behavior to prevent them from hurting other dogs. Friendly dog park with grass! I was soooo happy to finally find a dog park nearby that had an enclosed grass area. I love the fact that this park has both a dirt and grass area for my pup. The people are so nice and it reflects in their dogs as well. My dog was excited to get there and felt comfortable in the area. The park is clean and has water bowls all over the place. Full of inattentive non-mask wearing dog owners. It's more like social hour here with people not watching their dogs at all. I always feel I'm the only one with my eyes on my dog. Great park. Been coming here for a year now. There are two sides to the park and they alternate weeks of opening each side. One side does have a huge shady area. The other side has just young trees that are not big enough to provide much shade. Will hardly ever find dog poop that has not been cleaned up. Park is very neat. People are very open and friendly. Great park! My puppy loves it! My only concern is owners bringing in large dogs into the small dog area my puppy, who weighs about 6 pounds, was bit on the ear and the owners weren't even watching their dog who weighed about 40 pounds. First time here and lets just say I won't be bringing my dog back. I'll just stick with Arbor Dog Park. My dog got attacked and of course the owner was not apologetic. She was just smiling saying "he just wants to play" Excuse me but when your dog is biting mine and has his mouth over my dogs back that's not playing. Now my poor dog has a bite wound on his leg because owners don't know how to handle or pay attention to their dogs. They rather come there with their little gossip groups and just chatter away. The Orange dog park is our go-to park where our 18 month old pup gets his exercise - it's the closest one to our home in comparison to the others. We have met some wonderful dogs and owners at this park, which would have garnered this place 4 stars; otherwise I think I would rate this park at 3.5-stars overall. There are usually a decent amount of tennis balls lying around so if you have a dog that enjoys playing fetch, bring a Chuck-It. The park itself is quite large with ample space for dogs to run and romp (and stay away from other dogs that they may not get along with) and there is a section for smaller dogs as well (that's where our puppy had his first foray into the dog park). There isn't much shade and only one fountain for water; many owners grab the jugs and fill up the water bowls around the park (so nice!) Unlike the Costa Mesa and Irvine dog parks, there are no evening lights so the city closes the park at dusk. The park is also closed on Wednesdays, so keep that in mind if you want to bring your pup out for some exercise. The park has a sand area and the grass comes in very patchy. There are some owners that don't pick up after their dogs so be careful where you step - but otherwise, there are doggie bags and pooper scoopers available. If you're considerate, friendly, and just want to find a place for your dog to stretch their legs, then Orange Dog Park is pretty decent overall. read more

It's been at least a year since I have been here. My new favorite "park" is my friend's massive backyard, so I normally take my dogs there. But, Hollywood needs to socialize more so I brought him back to Yorba Park today. What happened to the grass? Last time I came at least 50% of the small dog side was grass. Now it is almost all dirt. He was filthy, my flip flops got dirty. I was not into the all dirt yard, at all. Hopefully they will put new grass in soon. read more

When my dogs need to socialize or just get a bit of exercise, we go to Yorba Park. They love playing with the other dogs, and we enjoy watching them have fun. This park is nice because it's clean, has good seating, and the other dog owners are usually pretty thoughtful. Almost everyone is friendly and makes sure they clean up after their pets. Most people are also aware of appropriate dog etiquette (or watching out for any aggressiveness). Another reason this park is nice is because the small dogs are separated from the really big dogs in different fenced in areas. The tough part is bringing two dogs of very different sizes (My larger sheltie is 40 lbs and the smaller one is 15 lbs), but I just take them at different times. It allows me to spend quality time with each of my boys. My dogs can't wait to go back to Yorba Park really soon! read more

The park was closed for a while for a complete overhaul. The city made some really nice improvements. The small dog area is bigger, there are working restrooms, the big dog area seems nicer, and the adjacent park is completed with benches and nice grass. The redesign is smart in that there are sections that can be fenced off to let the grass recover. It's busier than ever, so parking may be an issue on some days. Great spot to take your pooch in the Tustin/Orange area. Not too big, not to small. There is a "large" and "small" dog section. Most dogs here are super friendly, so you can let your pups run free without worry. Lots of water bowls scattered throughout the park. Mostly a grass area but they do have a dirt area too. Very minimal tree space assuming it's blazing hot - few benches as well. Parking lot included - right on the corner of Yorba and Chapman. I don't know of too many dog friendly parks in the area so I have to give this place 4 stars. Did I mention most people are pretty good about picking up after their dogs? My dog loves to come here. Buy I've found that owners can be annoying. Here are a few gripes: A large number of dog owners sit around in a circle talking, completely oblivious to their dogs pooping or being aggressive with other dogs. There is so much poop around, it's gross. WATCH YOUR DOG!!! My next complaint is people who bring young children here and let them "play" by chasing strangers' dogs, throwing things at them etc. This is not a playground! This is a place for you to spend time with your dog, not let your kid & dog run free with no supervision. There are no restrooms on the property, the closest one is at the gas station down the block. Plan ahead. This would be a much better park if people would be more considerate to others and their dogs. The Brea park is much cleaner and the owners are much more responsible. read more

My dog and I love the dog park. 5 start for the park and 99% of the humans/ dogs. However, today this big white dog with brown face markings grabbed a hold of my pinky in its mouth and then bit my rear end. I yelled at the blonde owner to come get her dog. Her response? "I'm picking up poop." "It's biting me! Get your dog!" An awesome dude pulled the dog away from me and held it on the floor. The lady later proceeded to tell me it didn't want to bite me, it just wanted the stick. Leaving this experience here in case anyone runs into her. She seemed impaired. I like this dog park and most importantly, my Frida likes it here. There's a few things that need improvement. One being the fact that there's a bench that is nestled in the middle. As soon as you open the gate door, the "regulars" are seated on that one and only bench, and they stare at you from head to toe and never move! Personally, that irks me! It can be really tight as you walk in and intimidating for the dogs. Another bummer is the fact that not all dog owners pick-up after their dogs. I love how there are two sections - small dogs and big dogs! I have two malteses, so we spend all our time at the small dogs area. And let me tell you, IT IS HUGE!! Absolutely spacious! This is a great park!! People are always friendly. I've read reviews where people trash this place, and they either have been once or just don't know anything. Yes, some owners don't pick up the bombs their dog drops; those are usually the owners sitting on a bench reading or playing with their phone and don't even bothering or think about it. Great dog park! Most of the owners are respectful and friendly. They have separate areas for large and small dogs and both sides look pretty roomy. There is a water fountain and waste bags. There are a lot of bowls laying around for water which in my case is a bit annoying. My vet suggested to not let my dog drink out of common bowls in order to minimize the risk of getting sick. Woof! It's your favorite Yelper dog, Louie, here to review the parks my mom takes me to again. This one just re-opened, so I was excited to try it out. They have restrooms for humans now! There's so much space for me to run around in! And it's clean! I like clean. They have water fountains that I don't like to drink out of because I'm picky and only drink filtered people water...but it's nice for everyone else. There are a couple of tennis balls to chase, good for when mom forgets my toys or doesn't want to get them all dirty. Each time I've been here there have been lots and lots of fur-iends to play with, too! That's the most important part. What's not so good is that there is not that much shade on the small dog side. The large dog side has two huge trees, and luckily I can run with the bigger guys too...but the little ones get the short end of the stick, literally. There are some baby trees planted around the park, but it'll take fur-EVER for them to grow into big shady trees. That's the only problem I have though. I hope to play with some of you there! By far, one of my favorite dog parks to go to. There is always plenty of parking. The owners are all friendly and pick after their own dogs (for the most part). The area big and facilities are always clean. I like that they offer tennis balls and bags for owners to use when needed. My two smaller pups (5 lbs. and 21 lbs.) love coming here. There's plenty of shade and places to sit on the smaller dog side. They always find a few dogs to play with. We're very lucky to have found a dog park like this one by our house. read more

I went to this park (at 5pm on a Thursday) because this is where you can access a bike trail. I don't know if there were having a special Dog event or this was the typical day there...but there were about 60 parking spots and they were all taken and people were waiting for spots to open up. If this was a special dog event day, then they should consider having more events, to avoid having the "overbooked" experience. (My assumption is that the more events they have, people will have the option to spread their attendance - and they will not run out of parking spots). read more

I have taken my little dog Zoe to the Orange Dog park a couple times. She is a bit shy around other dogs she doesn't know, being an only dog, but the other dogs were friendly and welcoming. There is usually one or two dogs that appoint themselves as greeters and come running up to the gate upon our arrival! The little dog section of the park is large and have several trees that provide shade. There are benches and water available. I like that there is a little dog park as well as one for the larger dogs. I am surprised to read of others having their car broken into as this is not a bad neighborhood. But, after reading about the break ins in the parking lot, I make sure to never leave anything in my car to entice scum to break the windows of my car. read more

What are my neighbors suggested this dog park to me and I think it's great! I like all the locations and what to do at the poop station. My dog really enjoy being with the large dogs instead of the small dog area. The dogs and the people there are very friendly, kind and nice. I like how the this dog park was surrounded by a trail that I can go walking on. This place seems very clean and nice. It's just that sometimes some of the owners don't pick up after their dog and just have to be careful of poop on the ground. Other than that this place looks really nice and it's cool that there's an entrance and an exit gate so dogs don't get mixed up and people can get in and out easily. read more
