I've been doing OTF for a little over a year now and love it. I've been staying in Frederick the past few months for work and love the fact I can go to an Orangetheory gym no matter where I am with my membership. This studio is far bigger than the one I go to in MA. The coaches here are great, the studio is large and nice, and there is plenty of parking. If you're looking for a great workout I highly recommend this studio. I burn no less than 600 calories per session. read more

I've been an OrangeTheory member for over three years, but we just recently moved to the area, and I joined the Frederick gym. I feel very confident saying that there is not a single OTF owner anywhere else in the world as engaged or passionate as Scott. He takes class regularly, is always at the door to greet members (and knows me by name already), and holds mini games and contests to keep things fun. When OTF has promotions or special days, Scott takes it to the next level, and it makes it really fun to come work out here. The front desk staff is amazing - super friendly, very knowledgeable, and always positive. Coaches are great, and of course, it's always a great workout. I really feel like Scott has created an incredible gym culture, and I think everyone should come give it a try! Very disappointed that this facility has no regard to honor both verbal and written agreements. They are more concerned about a few dollars. They think that they have the right to change contracts after you signed them, but if it was the other way around- you get the run around. Too bad they put more emphasis on the money than building long term relationships. Lost me forever read more

Place maybe trash and just want your money because most gym will allow you to take a class even if you show up 10 minutes right before the class when people are still signing in , once I told my wife they said no and pushed me away because I showed up 10 min before the class she said fuck that cancel your free class asap because I was taking the class for her to give her my feedback, so most likely they just don't want ppl taking free classes if they can't really get you to sign up 30 minutes before the class. read more

OTF has for sure changed my life for the better! Prior to joining, I would try but often fail to self motivate by either cutting my runs short, do a repetitive range of videos I found online, or not end up doing something at all. I love being able to walk in and not have to think about what I will be doing on a given day and make sure to work a variety of different muscle groups. Each day is different and also has a different focus: Endurance, Strength, or Power. Equipment is clean and functional. The app makes it easy to book classes and track progress including benchmark workouts. I have definitely improved my fitness, lost weight, and gained muscle along the way. The coaches are awesomeee, highly motivating, and really care about your progress. Both the coaches and front desk staff are all super friendly, remember my name, and make me feel like part of the community. I see a good mix of early 20s to members over 70, people who are very fit to those who are overweight/new to fitness, and both males and females. There are plenty of coach recommended modifications for exercises and members all support each other without judgement. One of the best parts is the flexibility of using your membership at other studio locations for free. Visiting other studios also makes me really appreciate what OTF Frederick has, it is more spacious than other studios I've visited, has amazing coaches, and 2 each showers, bathrooms, and water fountains. Apparently their coaches think they're doctors. They do not like to accommodate for your injuries and give you different workouts. Terrible customer service and terrible ownership. If you want a gym that feels like a family and second home this is NOT the gum for you. read more

What do I recommend? EVERYTHING! The coaches rock, the music is always top notch, and the community is THE BEST!!

i work out at the Frederick location. I have been a group fitness instructor for over 30 years. I needed to do much more crosstraining as I kept getting into a fitness rut with only running, walking and teaching indoor cycle. OTF is the perfect SAFE crosstraining for me. I am challenged and very well supported with genuinely trained professionals with real credentials. The facility is spotless each piece of equipment is fully functional and there is no standing around waiting. I have moderate limitations due to extensive spinal fusion surgery, and the staff are very accommodating and show me many options and modifications designed to help me meet my training goals. I am extremely pleased with the level of service and accountability of the front desk staff as well, especially considering how super busy check in time is, with phones ringing and other customer service requests occurring simultaneously. While OTF may not be for everyone, I observe AND experience that the level of commitment and attention to form and safety far exceeds that from other local gyms or self-proclaimed boot camps. Lastly and on a side note, I applaud and admire the folks who are obese, new to ANY fitness, unfit or looking to improve themselves AND who joined and really have stuck with OTF. These folks are truly inspirational and their progress is REAL and quite noticeable. read more

I have nothing but positive feedback about Orangetheory Frederick! The coaches are excellent, the owner is fantastic and you can tell he really wants to make sure his members are happy, the staff at the front desk are very friendly and it is nice to be greeted by name when I walk in, and the people I work out with have become friends. It just feels like a family friendly (for adults) place. I love the overall concept of OT, and like that I can schedule my classes online. I actually like that they have a cancellation fee if you cancel within 8 hours because it motivates me to go so that I won't incur the fee. I have worked out at many different studios and OTF is my favorite by far!! I am challenged and supported by trained professionals. It is the best solid hour of workout I can get and I love that I don't have to think about what to do when I go to the gym, I just follow the directions of the coach. To me it is almost like a small group personal trainer. I also like that the workouts are never the same. I like that there is no standing around and that it incorporates cardio and strength in one class. I can modify as needed and the coaches are always willing to provide support. I feel like they really care and want to make sure it is a positive experience. Anyone that is interested in a good workout should at least try the free class! read more
