I've been coming to this studio for about 2 years since moving from another part of Orlando. It looks like there are a lot of really old, outdated reviews and issues with who I believe is previous management so I wanted to take a moment to add positive feedback. This studio is great, all of the coaches are wonderful. If you've never taken an orange theory class, I would definitely recommend taking the free intro class if you live locally. The membership is a bit pricey but I much prefer it to going to a traditional gym and trying to figure out what exercises to do or not pushing myself hard enough because of doubting my abilities. When I arrived, he immediately made me feel comfortable and right at home. Coach Katie brought nothing but positive vibes. She introduced herself right away since it was my first time at the studio, and her energy was next level. This review is based off a visit during their pre-opening & a free trial class today. I really have never like gyms as "traditional" gyms have contracts, have all the bells & whistles but what good are they if I don't use them, or use them correctly? OTF is very different than your traditional membership gyms. There are many different types of gyms around the area with their own nich and so I really think you have to try a couple and then make your decision on which to join. When I first came here for the pre-opening, it did feel very "sales" pushy. I got it, the goal is to get members in for a nice start to your business. And so I took it with a grain of salt. A few weeks ago I signed up for a trial class that I had to reschedule, but the staff was very accommodating and understanding. Today was the trial class and the feel was much easy going; staff super friendly. I do like that the classes are made up of people of all different skill levels, but what you do is focus solely on your abilities. The coach is there maintaining pace, and encouraging at the same time. Location wise, for me this was a perfect gym. Price is a little "expensive" but it is different and so you have to base the value yourself. I know I have research other gyms around and with a yearly contract, it's less but month to month comparison; OTF is actually a little less. Super clean facility and on top of equípeme y hygiene. The staff can't make you go if you sign up, but once you do go, I assure you won't want to miss a class. read more

I have been going to Orange Theory (OTF) at this location since it opened in August 2018, and I have zero complaints with any of the coaches or staff. GYM: If you haven't tried OTF, I highly recommend it. Before, I went to a gym for their classes but found I never felt like I truly worked out. Their classes combine workouts on the treadmill, rower, and weight floor in an effort to earn "splat points" (a measure of how you did that class). The coach guides you through the workouts too, so if you need structure, OTF is for you. I've seen improvements in my endurance that cross over into my soccer matches. I feel stronger and have more energy. I've always been able to squeeze off the wait list and into a class, so no problems there. PROS: - Structured, defined workouts. - Heart rate monitor to see how I am doing that class. - Excellent coaches, especially Coaches Megan, Nick, and Byron. - Great playlists. - Easy to book classes on their app. - Encouraging community members. CONS: - Expensive membership (much more so than an average gym), but worth it. - Upsells in the form of challenges (additional money spent). - 8-hour cancellation policy (stinks for early morning classes). TIPS: - First class is free. Call ahead to reserve your spot. - Book classes on the app. - Water refill station in the weight floor. - They sell water and Gatorade (though there's also a Publix in the plaza). - Showers available (never used them though). read more

Attempted to take my first OrangeTheory class ever at this location after moving into the area. No where does it state you are required to be there a full 30 minutes in advance otherwise you are denied entrance. I was promptly told to leave as soon as I arrived at 8:10 for an 8:30am class. Struggled to understand the purpose of that large amount of time. For those who want to go to their first OrangeTheory class, get there well over 30 minutes in advance for whatever it is they need to preach to you beforehand otherwise you'll be asked leave and disappointed. DONT NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FRANCHISE I am really disheartened by this location and more so the incredibly rude and disrespectful GM, Sierra. I had nothing but a pleasant time with the staff when I signed up. I joined after having had Covid-19 and I had hoped I was ready to return to the gym. It turned out to be too intense for me at that time as I was recovering. After having the unused membership for a few months and not feeling up to going, I decided to cancel. It was a very easy process that they do through DocuSign. I ended up paying for many unused months but I knew that was on me and my slow recovery. Turns out they continued to her to charge me for many months after the cancelation. I called to speak to the manager, Sierra, who was dismissive, rude and shows all lack of care. She tells me that she has no record of my cancelation which I am looking at in my email. I tell her I'll come in and show her. She then calls back a few minutes later saying she found it and that it's not her fault because she was not there at the time and didn't process it. At no point was there an apology or any sign of understanding on how big of an issue this is. She then tries to get me to take three months of free classes as a result of their mistake but I ask for reimbursement instead. Well, I went back through my bank statements and noticed I had over draft fees on my debit as a result of this poor management and being charged after canceling, I told her I think it is appropriate to refund the unused month prior (they ask for a 30 day notice so they charged me another month I was not using, which would have been a situation I was fine with had they not then charged me and caused overdraft fees. She rudely said no, it's not her fault and she took no responsibility for any of it. I have asked her directly for the owner to call in hope they can help resolve. In the meantime I am talking to the fraud department at my bank. Sad that she represents what was a pleasant experience prior to her involvement. read more

Joining Orangetheory Fitness was a double-edged sword with a third, even sharper edge. You get to work out, you get to meet people, but their binding contract will make you want to gauge your eyes out. I thoroughly enjoyed the workouts. The trainers are motivating and will push you to make sure you work up a sweat. Yaaas! This is what this mom of 3 needed! But......... The heart trackers suck! I mean they really suck. Not only are these hundred dollar trackers finicky with placement they aren't accurate. Why there couldn't be a integration with the Apple Watch, I don't know?! Yet, this is not a deal breaker and at the end of the day regardless of being able to digitally track your progress - you're still meeting your goals of getting back into those skinny jeans (hopefully). What IS a serious issue is the sales pitch that includes a deceitful explanation of easy and convenient cancellation terms that iterates you won't be financially penalized for canceling at any time. But, be weary because as soon as you want to cancel (regardless of unused classes) you will literally witness a dramatic hulk like transition thinking you signed a deal with the devil. So if and when you decide to cancel for whatever reason, you can forget a painless and amicable separation because Orangetheory is just another perpetual membership based business that will lure you in with delightful summaries of cancellation ease and hold you by the balls when you want to take a break. read more

I don't have enough positive things to say about this Orangetheory studio and all of the coaches! I've been a member since August of last year and I have never been a part of such a great community before at a "gym." All the coaches make each class fun and exciting and all of them have great personalities and a genuine interest in getting to know all of us and help us reach our fitness goals. Between Coach Stephen's humor in class and Coach Ali's awesome dance moves and music playlists, each coach has their own unique personality that makes each class great. The front desk staff is always so warm and inviting too, especially Tina, Erik and David. Tina is always on her A-game and ready to help you out whenever you need anything, and she always does it with a smile! The environment between members is super positive and uplifting as well, and each class you know you can always count on support and encouragement from the people around you if you ever need it. This place has truly changed my life and I cannot recommend it enough for anyone looking to try something new when it comes to their health and wellness! read more

The manager at this place -Sierra is so rude and unprofessional. OTF lost my long term commitment because of repeated misinformation and not providing honest information. I came in for a free trial class on 11/7. It was told to me that my billing will start from first real class which I nook on app, but I was still charged from 11/7. This was ok but after signing up I had all kinds of issues with booking classes on their app. I was told I'll be getting a free month free as I signed the membership in November and it was part of November promotion(see screenshot below). I asked if it was possible to upgrade and the lady at front desk said yes it's possible anytime. Later the same month I was told that I can't upgrade till January because that's my next billing cycle and December is free. This took a lot of clarification as each time I spoke to someone I didn't get a clear answer. I requested the manager to call me for clarification 6 times and never got a call back. On 12/6 I came for a class and they said that it's an extra class but they can make it comped. I even received a receipt of it being 0$ . Next day 12/7 Sierra(manager) calls me and says I owe payment for December and that I also owe payment for last days class. I asked that as of yesterday I was told that December is free she denied and said that I have to buy Heart rate monitor or I have to pay for month of December. Even after I showed her email proof of class being complementary she denied it and not once apologized. After being frustrated from her rudeness I said I would like to cancel. She totally lost it verbally and sent me bill for December and spammed my email 3 times with same receipts of extra class even after I showed her that class was complementary. This is the worst experience I have had. She even got personal with me and started asking personal questions which legally she is not required to ask. She is very untrained and can bring a huge lawsuit to the business. Please see screenshots below and be very careful of her. I visited this location during my most recent Disney vacation and absolutely loved the place. Friendly and responsive front desk, clean facility, and fantastic workout. While I know this spot is for locals, if you're considering buying a class package while on vacation, don't hesitate. Great to get a 60 minute workout in to offset the Dole Whip. :) read more

I've been with Orangetheory on and off for the past 4 years. It's a great workout and I've always seen immediate results when going. Love Orangetheory but, will NEVER go back to this studio! Ive never had a problem with a studio or staff over the years until I went here. The unprofessionalism is unreal! I called 7.5 hours early one day to cancel a class. The manager right off the bat was rude and condescending about it. I understand their 8 hour late cancel policy but I literally called 7.5 hours before class. I didn't think 30 min would be a big deal but it was! When I was asked why I needed to cancel class I told the manager it was because I was going to have to work late and couldn't make it. I asked for the fee to be waived since I only missed the 8 hour timeframe by 30 min. The manager wouldn't do it. She said everybody who goes there works too and why should I be an exception. Everyone has to pay their fees so I'm no different. So basically deal with it.... We went back and forth over this fee for about 15 min. I couldn't handle the arguing and unprofessionalism anymore so I got frustrated and said this isn't worth it just cancel my membership. The managers response was "why because I won't waive your fee?" After more going back and forth she finally waived the fee. I told my husband later what happened and he was upset by how this was all handled and wanted to talk to her manager. He calls the studio and was right off the bat interrogated about what was going on and why he needed to talk to the higher level manager. After he hangs up the studio starts texting him and confronting him. They were asking if this was about me and said he was not allowed to talk to the higher level manager until he talked to the studio manager first. We called another studio and got a hold of him eventually. He was very polite and understanding and apologized for what happened. He said the way the Windermere manager handled things was not right and he couldn't stand behind her on the way she behaved. He said he didn't want us to cancel and asked a few times if we would please stay and give that studio another chance. He assured us the manager would make it right. The next day I get a call from the Windermere studio manager and she confronts me, "Why did you call my manager!!?? I cancelled your fee!" I explained it was because she's rude and unprofessional and I didn't like how she talked to me and was also having her staff text my husband about all this. Then that became another 15 minute argument where she justified her actions and I was wrong for contacting her manager. My husband, again upset, said this isn't worth it. We're cancelling. He calls the studio manager and tells her he wants to cancel, her response "ok, where should I send your paperwork?" No questions asked. Didn't feel bad at all that they were losing 2 premier members ($320/month). We called her manager again to let him know how she handled things round 2 and never got a call back. read more

I had a horrendous experience trying to join the studio as a new member. I was told I would have to reschedule as soon as I arrived for my first appointment and was not shown any time of day. The male staff member refused to look me in the eyes when speaking and was more focused on his phone than speaking to me and seemed to not care whether I join or not. On top of this, when I voiced my concern to another male staff member over the phone about this incident and why I would not attend the facility they subsequently hung up on me. Terrible customer service with no regard for their clients. Based on my personal experience and from the other reviews I have seen they are seriously lacking in business ethics with their policies and actions. read more

I went for a free session and signed up for a membership. The women at the front desk told me I could upgrade my membership at any point but also failed to tell me they were running a promotion for a free month. The days to follow I was not able to schedule me classes on the app, I was told I would receive a phone call from the manager, Carlos and everything would get straightened out. I decided I wanted to upgrade my membership and was told by 3-4 different staff members that I could not upgrade until the next billing cycle. A few weeks after I took a class and the front desk informed me I needed to pay for my class and I mentioned that I have been trying to upgrade but I was given different information. I was told my class would be comped that day and they would figure it out. Before leaving class, I was told the membership couldn't be upgraded because I was getting a free month so I would have to wait until the following month to upgrade. Received a call the next day from the manager, Sierra, who stated I would not receive a free month because I didn't not purchase the heart rate monitor but I could upgrade immediately. I decided to cancel my membership and she became extremely rude and unprofessional. She stated I would be charged for the class that the front desk told was comped. She stated she was reading the email I received and nowhere does it say comped. See the picture below, she clearly lied to me on the phone. At no point did she apologize for all the issues I had since signing up and continued to say she was not in the office so she can't speak for others or her staff not providing accurate information. Some of the trainers are excellent, they're engaging and make the hour workout a ton of fun. The classes are packed though, I would knock elbows with people on the rowers, I hate that. They charge a fortune if you have to cancel your reservation and it is way too hard to book your class in advance, the classes book up way too fast. Then it is so hard to outright cancel your membership. I moved away so I can't make it back to the studio to fill our their magical form, but they insist that I fill out their form at the gym. I had to file credit card fraud charges because they insist on continuing to charge me even though I cancelled in writing. It shouldn't be so difficult to cancel. read more

I have been a member for almost 9 months and I am truly enjoying this location. The location offers early morning classes, has very motivating coaches and the concept really works. I have seen big changes in my endurance and strength. Today I can do things that I never imagined possible when I started. Beware - this studio is a total scam. I have a signed contract that they refuse to honor. I had to file credit card charges against them after they overcharged me for my membership. Management is terrible and the regional manager of this location is deplorable!! My roommate is a member here and invited me to a free class to test it out. He had a good experience there, and I had other friends that really enjoyed Orangetheory, so I was excited to try it out. I went one morning and afterwards signed up for a membership, but I ran into many issues getting on the app and my work schedule didn't allow many opportunities to actually attend classes. After thinking about it for a couple days and realizing I may not be able to go to many classes, I decided to terminate my membership per the 72 hour clause in the contract that stated I could change my mind within 72 hours of signing and get my money back. The staff said that was fine and they would take care of it as long as I brought back the heart rate monitor that next day. By 11:00 the following day, I returned the heart rate monitor and asked the staff if they needed anything else from me. They assured me everything was in order, the manager would contact me later confirming everything was cancelled, and that I would soon be refunded. It's now been almost exactly a month, and I have never received a call from a manager or a refund. I've called them three or four times and talked to team members that have assured me it would be taken care of and said they were so sorry for the inconvenience. I'm not sure how long I'm supposed to wait to get this money back and at this point, would rather have kept my membership and taken a few classes instead of throwing that money away with nothing to show for it. It's clear they will gladly take your money faster than you can blink but won't do anything to offer a refund. It's disappointing to see a business that can't back up their claims. I'm not sure why they told me I would be issued a refund when it seems like they have no intention of actually doing it. read more

I must tell you that this place has saved my life!! I am SO hooked on this program and its concept! Do yourself a favor and take the free class and you will not regret it. The Coaches are all amazing and right there the entire time to help and motivate you to become your best self. You basically have a personal trainer with you at your disposal the entire class. Very non judge mental because you are only against yourself. It comes with FREE nutrition consultations whenever you need or want them. You can't put a price on health and happiness and this place can definitely help you achieve both if you work the system consistently.
