For our friends birthday, we rented a Cabana for the day... and a cabana is the way to go! Includes unlimited bottles Dasani water, Disney refillable cup, fresh towels all day, a safe to lock items in, and a personal concierge to order what ever you want. Hannah, our concierge, was the best. She made sure we never ran out of anything. Our cabana was right near a drink filling station, which was very convenient. It was also right next to an entrance to the lazy river, which was perfect. The water temperature was amazing. It was a pretty warm day and the water felt fantastic. In the afternoon, we ordered several platters, and one of them was the charcuterie spread. The Mickey had goat cheese was delicious. All the arrangements were fantastic. We also got the chicken fingers and the nacho bar which I forgot to take pictures of lol because we dug right in. Overall, when going with a group to the water parks, it is definitely worthwhile to all chip in and rent a cabana. 10/10 we would do this again. read more

I love waterparks. I honestly never thought I would get here due to ticket pricing, but luck struck and this summer you get a free waterpark ticket on the day you check in at the hotels. Yay! I picked this one because it my hotel had a direct bus and I did not want to waste any time on my first day. We were able to change at the hotel and leave our suitcases with the bell hop and get here really quickly. Then, we were able to get a reasonable locker and store the rest of our stuff. It was very convenient. Plus, they offer free towels at the front of the park. I love the theming here. It is so adorable. We love Buttons the little snowman and all of the snow capped buildings. I love the winter and Christmas music mixed with typical park music. It is so fun here. Since we just arrived in Florida, we were starving. I liked that they had a nice restaurant at the front with some good choices and plenty of seating. We got pizza, chicken strips, and a chicken shrimp rice bowl. Everything was not overly expensive, a nice portion, and very tasty. We managed to go on a family raft, the lazy river that had ice cold water squirt at you, the wave pool, and some baby slides. We also found a good place to put our stuff on the beach near the wave pool. At this park I was able to go barefoot and I did not burn my feet. For some reason the ground was cooler at this park then Typhoon lagoon, bit sure why. Maybe they had more areas with the little sprinklers, but please put more around the park. After several hours though, storm clouds were spotted and they closed down the swim areas. We relaxed and shopped. I wish Disney would bring back package delivery to the hotels, we would buy more if it were available. Hope Disney does read the comments and takes note. Unfortunately, they never reopened the swim areas and we returned back to the hotel for the day, but it did not bother me since we did a lot and it was free. We were also a little upset they seemed to run out of food very early in the day. They did not have their signature milkshake, they ran out of donuts, and some other items. We did not end up having dessert here. I also think although we loved it here, Volcano Bay beats out the Disney waterparks in food quality, attractions, and overall vibe and theming. Plus, at Universal you can use the waterpark as part of the ticket package, where as Disney you have to purchase a very expensive ticket to even get the option. I would hope Disney might change some things to remain competitive, although including a free day here was definitely a perk. My child tells me this is the best Disney waterpark and she would like to return. I would also consider coming back. read more

This was a great part of going to Disney this year. We went three times each time we went in the afternoon when it was warmest since we were there in January and it was not very crowded. The rental lockers are 10 bucks but I think it was worth it if you're going to be there just to be able to lock up here phone and wallet and other things and not get anything wet. Our favorite things were the big six person water slide and then the big drop slide is one of the tallest in North America. My kids also really enjoyed the wave pool as well as a lazy river. Lots to do here and you can either buy food and beverages from The amazing vendors or bring in your own snacks if you want healthy options. They have the same coffee options at all of the Disney parks and if you have the Disney credit card you get the same 20% off if you buy it from the coffee vendors. read more

Blizzard Beach has a wave pool but more calm compared to typhoon lagoon (Disneys other water park) There are plenty of rides that can be good for any person in your family from small to large, including there are toboggan racers that you can have competitions with your group. The largest slide requires to take the ski lift up the top and then a further hike up stairs to the highest point in the park, which has 360 views of all of Walt Disney World. Took my daughter here while on vacation. They have plenty of things for all ages. Entering was pretty easy. Goofy is located near the entrance of the water park. He was the only character there which was a big let down. Disney should try to have more characters there. They have areas to get food but it seemed as though a lot of the ones we went to did not open until later in the afternoon. the food was nothing to write home about. I would visit here again but probably would not be on top of my list with all of the water parks in the area. read more

I did do the Summit Plummet because there was no line. Fun, thrilling and painful. Came for the day with friends and the park was pretty much empty. It was 67 degrees out and the water was heated. Loved all the water rides and lunch was good. Disney's beautifully pristine waterpark covered in snow from the unseasonal blizzard that hit this Florida beach. Icicles are still melting upon guests as they venture through crashing waves, rivers and downhill adventures. The forecast was lousy during our visit which made for a small crowd. Never waited more than five minutes except for the Downhill Double Dipper (the wait for tubes caused a huge delay). The weather turned out to be beautiful. My party of six enjoyed several rides and partly sunny skies. Cross Country Creek was the longest lazy river I've ever endured. Pro tip: Don't be too lazy or you'll be shocked by freezing cold waterfalls! Melt Away Bay provides a gorgeous beach esthetic. It's the enormous pool with nonstop waves and no tubes to bonk into. Made for a soothing soundtrack in addition to the reggae music and classic Christmas tunes. Teamboat Springs was ideal for my group of six because we all fit inside one raft. We also raced each other on the Toboggan Racers. Runoff Rapids offers your choice of three slides, one is completely enclosed. Blizzard Beach also offers ample seating, fresh towels, ice water, gift shops, mobile dining options, and allergy friendly snacks and drinks. Angry Orchard was available throughout the park. We ordered lunch from Lottawatta Lodge, where gluten-free burgers were available. The wait for allergy friendly was long but everything but the rock hard gluten-free bun was delish! Masks were required in all indoor spaces as Disney continues to take precautions during the pandemic. Like all Disney theme parks, cast members were awesome and helpful. Blizzard beach is an amazing waterpark to hit while you are in the Orlando area. It is beautiful, it is Disney, and it is FUN! We purchased our tickets online and while walking in a gentleman helped us out to access our tickets. Ironically he too was from Miami (coral gables to be exact) and was very kind. We were able to enter promptly without the long lines you normally find at Disney. We went during the middle of the week so it wasn't CRAZY packed but there were a lot of people. Rides were incredibly fun and I love how everything is themed. They have a nice bar by the wave pool and food galore. I have two complaints about the park: One: some of the staff working the rides/lifeguards were a bit rude. I can tell their job is frustrating but they should be try to be a bit more polite to guests. I had one of the workers answer me rudely when one of the rides was having technical difficulties. She was manually telling people to slide down one of the slides because the go/stop light was malfunctioning. At some point when I was about to go it began to work again. I hadn't noticed so I asked her if I go or not. She rudely answered me. Apparently the light was on again and I hadn't noticed. I didn't think my question was far fetched. It was little things like this I was a bit put off by. I also feel there should be more covering by the wave pool. Florida Sun is brutal and this place is for kids. They should have something to provide more shade. I recommend getting there on time to have the whole day there. If not you will not get your money's worth. read more

Wow What a let down. Spent a fortune on a polar patio and it really sucks. Raining straight down which I get happens in Florida a lot. This crappy patio offers almost no shelter from rain. Good thing there are only 2 of us as 85% of the patio is exposed to rain as we huddle under a shitty little umbrella. Seaworld and Universal have it right with their in park specialty's. I'm not blaming Disney for the rain but we should at least be dry in our polar patio for what we paid. Not much shelter from the sun either. Waste of almost $400. Just adding the locker. I think I've been spoiled with the other water parks in the Orlando area. This one just felt outdated and the only things that made it fun were its multiple tall slides and ski lift ride up to them, but after a few times it got boring pretty quickly. I think I would recommend this park for a family wanting a 'less crowded' water park or if you really, really enjoy tall slides. The slides can be pretty intimidating at first and you get a good thrill from them. I ended up going during a light storm so it was pretty not crowded and I was able to go on the slides multiple times pretty quickly. Other than that, I'd recommend Disney's Typhoon Lagoon or other water park instead. read more

First time here - super easy to get to and free parking. They have a LONG lazy river (it goes around the entire property), a large wave pool and many slide options. We rented chairs ahead of time online, since I didn't know what the chair situation would be when we arrived. For $40 you can get 2 beach loungers, 2 beach chairs, 4 towels, an umbrella and a small table on a sandy beach area. Our area was near the front and very close to the lazy river entrance and the wave pool. It wasn't very busy the day we went, so I don't think I'd rent them again. We got there about 20 minutes after the park opened, and you could have your choice of chairs. They have plenty all over the park, BUT, if you want chairs with an umbrella, you'll need to rent them. The other chairs don't have umbrellas, but there is quite a bit of shady areas around the park. If you want to splurge, you can rent a deck, with chairs and umbrella for the day. Those are closer to the attractions but quite expensive. We really only tried the lazy river and wave pool, but we really enjoyed those. You could hear the screams from some of the slides! The lazy river has several areas where you can enter/exit throughout the park. It's a good way to get from one area to another if you don't want to walk. The sidewalks do get pretty hot, so I recommend wearing beach shoes. They leave the innertubes floating in the river, but sometimes you may not be able to find one when you get in. If that's the case, just wait until you get through the cave area. There's a bunch stacked up on the right and you can make your pick from there. They also have a nice selection of tubes: regular tubes, 2 person tubes and smaller white tubes for kids (that don't have a hole in the middle, but instead that is solid and the kids can sit in it. They have lifeguards EVERYWHERE and they are extremely attentive. I didn't see any of them messing around. They were all focused on the water and people. The wave pool was a lot of fun. It's zero entry and goes up to about 5'9" or so. As you get closer to the deeper area near the rocks, the waves get pretty powerful. I felt like a cork in the deeper areas, but it was a lot of fun. It's really the only "swimming" area at the park. The rest is ride oriented. There are a few shops to buy souvenirs. Plenty of food selections and several adult beverage options. They also have healthy options (fruit cups) and they have frozen slushes. If you use the Disney app, you can order food ahead from several of the shops and pick it up when it's ready so you can skip the lines. They also can handle various allergies when ordering (I have a gluten sensitivity and they handled that beautifully). You can also bring food and drink (coolers) into the park, but you can't bring in any alcoholic beverages or glass containers. So if you want to save on the food, bring a cooler or some snacks. There are also towel rentals and locker rentals near the front of the park. If you want to go, you need to go by 3/19/23, as the park is closing for renovations on the 19th, when Typhoon Lagoon will be reopening. read more

This is the best themed water park I have ever seen. Better theming than volcano bay and more laid back and definitely safer for smaller kids and young teens .. The rides are fun and easy, and the grounds are mostly shaded. Unlike VBay where there is no place to sit in the shade this park offered plenty. The minus is that it got very very crowded in the afternoon during spring break and the lines got big. The "ski lift" kept braking. And there was no shade while waiting in line. The lazy river got clogged up with tubes and barely moved. But we still prefer this park as I didn't have to accompany kids everywhere all the time . the racing lanes were super fun. read more

It was our first time coming to Blizzard beach and I can say we all loved it! We parked in Animal Kingdom and caught a bus to Blizzard because we were going to Animal Kingdom afterwards but the parking in Blizzard beach is actually right in front of the entrance so there's not much walking unlike the others where you need to ride the tram. When you enter they have a lot of cool "Christmas like" decorations like sleighs where you can take pictures from. Lockers cost $10 for a regular sized one and I believe $20 for a double but the regular sized one fit all of our stuff. They do have towels for rent if you don't bring your own which to me, honestly they should be complimentary since it is a Disney Water park or at least complimentary to Annual Passholders. There are plenty of beach chairs available on a "first come first serve" but you can also rent lodge chairs and umbrellas. You can also reserve a private deck in the shade with plenty of chairs, tables and umbrella's throughout the park which is awesome if you have a big party. My experience on the amusement portion of it is only based on the "family oriented" side of the water park because since we went with a 4 year old we couldn't really enjoy any of the big slides. There's a section for the smaller kids (infants/toddlers) with minimal water in the pool and sides which is fun for them. Also has sand on that area so you do get a bit of a beach vibe if you want. The wave pool was awesome. The lazy river was legit a lazy river! You'll find booths throughout the parks selling drinks and snacks but you can take your own snacks which will save you a lot of money in the long run if you're going to multiple parks. We did try their frozen margaritas. I got a strawberry one which was pretty good. Of course minimal alcohol since it's a water park but it was very refreshing. The original margarita on the other hand was not good. It barely had flavor. That one went to waste because it really just taste like frozen ice water and lime. The blueberry frozen drink was tasty. That one was nonalcoholic and both Aubrey and myself liked it. They have a pretty big bathroom with changing stalls, regular toilet stalls and shower stalls. BEWARE THE WATER IS COLD if you decided to shower before leaving the park. Overall we had a good time. We all loved it considering that we didn't really get to do everything. Winter themed water park. Cool idea and concept. First, it's not part of your themed park package deal. So, if you plan to visit, you have to buy a separate ticket around 70 ish dollars. (Disney is great at communicating so much, yet when it comes to additional costs and exclusions; communication is muddled and/or omitted. Hmmmmm) When you enter, other families are confused as well and the staff are hardened a#% holes about this. It was shocking how rude she was to us when we were asking for information. Lockers are provided for a small fee. Small lockers $10 Large Lockers $15. These were extremely helpful. Lots of places to eat, drink, and snack. We bought a limitless cup so my niece could refill. (It was super hot.) Alcohol drinks much appreciated. (lol) We found seats by wave pool but other reviews were correct in that if you want a shaded seat you need to get there early. Wave pool was large but ugh. I did not enjoy it. You have to search out someone leaving the pool to get a tube/raft. Nothing like playing the Hunger Games version of "find your own raft" when you've traveled by bus from your hotel to park, paid a lot of money, paid more for a locker, paid a lot for a cup of liquid, then braved hot conditions to find a seat in the sun... .then to fight with children and adults to get a raft to experience a heavily chlorinated wave pool that feels a little like a cesspool. Of course my 11 year old niece loved it. Now, I did enjoy the rides. Just be ready and capable to walk up 5 to 8 flights of stairs to get to the slides and other experiences. A few of the rides have a chair lift but many do not. So... I did enjoy knowing that I was burning off a lot of calories. Lazy river was interesting. It's very shallow. However, it gives a good overview of where everything is and you can get out and get back in to travel to different sections of the park. Think of it like your water trolley. This was a one and done experience for me. I was glad my niece got to experience it and we did make memories. However, Disney didn't capture the magic at this one. I thought this water park missed the mark and would have preferred an independent water park or the hotel pool. This is a "cool" water park. A winter themed water park? YES! And it's well executed. To get to the top of the biggest "peak" they have a "ski lift". This gives you access to their big slide, summit plummit. It also gives you access to a small slide and a pretty intense group tube ride. There are also 2 smaller peaks. One of those has the slides where you grip the piece and go down. The one where you go down the winding tubes was my favorite. Overall, the lines were very reasonable about 15-30 minutes per slide, we were able to do all of the slides in a short amount of time. We didn't get to experience the lazy river as we only spent half a day here. read more

Overview: My first time to Orlando and I'm a Pisces. Obviously you have to go to Disney when you're in Orlando, and the water sign in me wants to do anything that involves a wave! My friends advised me to skip the water-park and just "go to Epcot." I am so happy to say that I ignored them and went for the $69 dollar double-park experience. Typhoon lagoon and blizzard beach for about half the price of one Disney theme park is a pretty good deal and well worth it. My friend and I spend 6-7 hours swimming, floating on the river, and sliding down the best slides I've ever seen! Blizzard beach is set-up like a ski-lodge, you take a ski lift to some of the rides, including the highest, Mount Gushmore. Rides: My favorite part though is the wave-pool, typhoon lagoon has the biggest, with giant waves every 90 seconds (with a thirty-minute break every hour and a half) that are 6-feet high. Only thing that would make that better is a surf-board! Blizzard beach's wave pool is just as fun for someone like me who loves bobbing in the water on tubes, grab your tube and ride some milder-waves at this waterpark. Food: The food is also decent. For theme park food your not disappointed. You can get at least one vegan option, a few vegetarian options, and of-course Disney's famous turkey-leg, which if you aren't vegan or vegetarian you must try. Probably the best deal at the park, for about $13 you get to eat a leg from what seems like a giant mutant turkey! Well-seasoned as well. All the food is moderately priced, and everyone who works there is lovely to interact with. Everyone smiles at you when you walk in and is eager to answer any questions. Must-knows: Lockers are $10 for a small and $15 for large. You can open your locker as often as you would like during your stay. Blizzard beach is about a five-to-ten-minute drive from typhoon lagoon, walking seems way too long and wasting time since the water parks so close at 5. Going in April between spring-break and summer-vk is pretty perfect, no waits for rides and the park doesn't seem at all crowded. Make sure you put on a LOT of sunscreen. The Florida sun will do everything it can to crisp you! Blizzard beach also sells spf50 shirts that you're able to wear in the pools. If you're planning on doing both water parks I would suggest going to typhoon lagoon first then making your way to blizzard beach, since the entrance to winter-summer-land mini-golf is right there which is another fun Disney activity to do after the water parks close! Favorites: To summarize, go to the water parks! Eat a turkey leg, rent a locker, don't sit in the sun! Sometimes you will even be visited by some Florida wildlife as you eat. Our Disney guests were some of the cutest big-beaked American white ibis, which look like mini-storks and are completely harmless, and the kids loved them! We always enjoy our visits to Blizzard Beach Waterpark! The Winter Ski Lodge Theme is not as nice as Typhoon lagoon but it does create a feeling of coolness which is nice during the hot summer Florida months. The Music played throughout the park is Christmas music with an island style tropical twist. I like the music with no words but the songs with words are crazy repetitive and a bit annoying. Where Blizzard Beach really shines is its record breaking thrill slides! The slides at Blizzard beach are much taller, faster, and scarier than Typhoon lagoon! BlIzzard Beach Water park opened in 1995 and was the third Walt Disney World water park. It is the third-most visited water park in the world, behind its sister park, Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach is open year-round with an annual maintenance closure in the winter. All water areas are heated at approximately 80 degrees Fareinheight, with the exception of the melting snow in the ice cave of Cross Country Creek. Legendary Beginnings: According to Disney legend, a snowstorm led to the development of Florida's first ski resort but the snow melted, leaving behind waterlogged ski jumps and chair lifts. As operators were preparing to close the park, they noticed a blue alligator, Ice Gator, sliding down the mountain at top speed and decided to turn the ski resort into a water park! Green Slopes: 1. Summit Plummet is the flagship attraction at 120 feet tall, and speeds 60 miles per hour! It's the third-tallest and fastest free fall slide in the world! 10/10 2. Teamboat Springs is the world's longest "family white-water raft ride" at 1,400 feet long! 10/10 3. Slush Gusher is a 90-foot-tall, 250-foot-long snow-banked mountain body slide that reaches speeds up to 35 miles per hour and is one of only a few water slides where "air time" is achieved. 10/10 Purple Slopes: 4. Blizzard Beach is one of the best water parks in the United States. I am a water park goer meaning I have been to a lot of water parks in the country. Disney knows how to do water parks and make them fun and enjoyable. I think a day to the water park needs to be on every families Disney trip because these places are awesome!! Thankfully I have the Platinum Plus pass for Disney so water parks are included with my pass, but if I did not have this one I would for sure get a water park pass. To go to the water parks all year it costs $138! This is great because if you go more than 3 times the pass pays for itself. When you walk in they usually have 1 or 2 characters out to meet people. Nice thing about doing this is the line is usually only a few people and I have been able to walk right up and meet Goofy, Olaf, and Hans before! It is pretty awesome! This place is 100% family friendly! They have something for absolutely everyone. They have the family sky lift that will take you to the top of the mountain and from there you can do plenty of the other rides. They have a family raft ride, they have the tobbogin ride, they have a little of it all. They also have a kids Ski Patrol center which is awesome as well!! The food here is very fair priced and you can even get a cup that is easily refillable. Also, I almost forgot, parking is free here!! I highly recommend this water park and think you all should for sure check it out on your next Disney vacation!! read more

This water is really fun I'll definitely repeat I want there for my birthday weekend. Boyfriend surprised me and I had a really good time with friends and family. All the rides were amazing. There was no wait time on either of the rides short lines we stayed there from 10 to almost 4 and we got to ride all the rides in the park. Good tip is to arrive early because all the big lockers go fast and the park has good food and serve alcohol near the wave pool read more

Toboggan racing on the water? How cool is that? A ski lift that brings you to the top of a waterside? Even cooler. I love how you can race downhill on a toboggan against your friends and it's timed. Great concept. The only reason this gets only 4 stars is because there aren't enough rides and slides. And for the $60 admission I would expect more of a blizzard rather than a simple snowfall. read more

Newly refurbished.. and yet still looks like bad outdated 80's decor and finishing. When comparing to Universal Studios Volcano Bay, I am very disappointed we came here for a second day of water parks. This water park is geared towards families with kids. Only a handful of different slides. Several are duplicates of each other. Slides are very tame. No WOW or thrill factor compared to Volcano Bay. The lazy river is less than 3 feet deep. Watch out scraping your feet and legs. Hard to just relax because of how shallow and slow it runs. read more

I visited the park last Thursday with my family. This is our third trip to the park. The customer service have changed to the worst. The lady that was in the morning in a kiosk that sales doughnut by the beach was very rude and no polite with us. The last time we were here we had same experience with her. Very rude lady!!!
