Stuck on I-90, we used our roadside assistance service to call for help, and they dispatched Hampshire Towing. Dispatcher Kayla did a great job keeping us informed about the arrival of Alex, the tow operator. Based on our situation, he did the best he could to help us out. Due to the distance from our home to their shop, we decided to transport the car to Pleasant Street Auto for repair. On Monday I spoke with Steven to discuss the situation, and he was very thorough and analytical as he listened to my story leading up to the car breakdown. The shop was able to repair the car Monday afternoon and I picked it up Tuesday morning. Considering we were in a bind and at their mercy, I feel that we were treated very fairly and not taken advantage of. Walking into the office to pay the bill, I could tell that they take an interest in the concerns of their customers - even offering a box of Girl Scout cookies as a "thank you"! Having a car break down out-of-state is a difficult experience, and we're grateful to Hampshire Towing and Pleasant Street Auto for their assistance! I would highly recommend their services.

Once getting to work around noon the sunlight was out and I was grabbing something from my trunk, I then saw multiple harsh scratches aswell as 2 cracks in my left tail light. I then texted over a photo to the shop and was immediately told it wasn't them and not their fault. After getting bombarded with texts and calls from the worker I got the owner's contact. He said he would look into it and apologized for the troubles. A few days later I had gotten a quote for replacing the lens and we got into contact again, the worker said he would give me $100, then later that day the owner called me and said he would give me $300 to go towards the replacement. I told him I would pick it up Wednesday July 30th. Wednesday July 30th I got up early on my one day off of work and went over to the shop with the tail light. The owner wasn't there, but the worker was. He then spent 20 minutes throwing out bs excuses and eventually said he cant take responsibility for it and refused to give me the money I was promised. I will never do buisness with that asshole ever again and I recommend you dont either if you care about your car and your money. He also didnt do a good job on the work. The job seems half done and parts feel off after he "anchored" them down. Charged a fortune too!

He got into an accident, causing significant damage to the car. The garage is not taking any responsibility for the accident. Their insurance company is offering her book value for her car, which is over a thousand dollars less than it would cost to repair it, if it isn't totaled (I believe it is). They are expecting her to pay for the repairs. How is that right??? They had the accident!!! They at least owe her a reliable replacement vehicle. She lives on a limited income and cannot afford to repair or replace the car. Don't bring your car to this garage---you may get more (or less) than you bargained for.
