I got to try their lasagna, which came with a meatball, bread, and wedding soup. I quite enjoyed this meal. Prices were OK and the portion was satisfying. The lasagna had quite a lot of ricotta and it was reasonably flavorful, but I would have liked a bit more of a flavor from the sauce. The meatball was quite large. Not too flavorful and a bit of a tough texture (almost sausage like), but still good. Bread was very basic but free so can't complain. The wedding soup was quite good. Small cup but flavorful broth and quite a good amount of cheese (I think?) in there. All in all, I enjoyed my meal here. Good little Italian spot in East McKeesport and probably one of the better restaurants in this area.

Total "first world problems." Just wanted to say, the Snowbound is probably one of the most fantastic ciders I have ever had. Arsenal is conveniently located about 3 minutes off I-79 at Soergels Orchard. Today we bought a pumpkin cider and two sorbets. I believe the sorbet is a seasonal product and it is definitely worth trying out. It was extremely smooth and flavorful, and it was actually better then I thought it was going to be. As for the Apple Pumpkin flavor cider, I can not wait to try it later. I do not have any doubts that I won't love it. This is also a seasonal flavor. I love how they are continuously making new flavors and every time I arrive there is one I have yet to hear of. Their Archibald cider is my favorite and it is always available as far as I know. The bottles the cider is poured into are glass and you can bring them back every time you go back for more! When you do that, you do not have to pay the price of the bottle. If you are ever in the area, I suggest stopping in!

Seriously, it's like being greeted like family when you show up for dinner. The decor is modern and clean. I love the outdoor patio. Sitting out there having dinner while seeing great views of the city. Nothing beats it.

We stopped in on a Tuesday night and opted to sit at the bar since it wasn't busy. Something important to note is that when we arrived, the music was playing softly in the background. While the prices were decent, the service was not. Our waitress came over to us after our appetizers arrived, I asked for a refill, we made eye contact, she ignored me, and turned around. It took another ten minutes before I was able to get a refill, and she never asked again for the rest of the time we were there. The people sitting beside us arrived later and ordered similar food to us, and they somehow received their food quite some time before ours came out. I am almost certain the bartender forgot to put in our order. Halfway through our meal (which was okay at best), someone turned the music up so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. I'm pretty sure "Brandy, You're A Fine Girl" played three times in a 30-minute window. It felt like we were intruding on a private party despite there being maybe seven other people at the bar. Despite clearly being done with our food, it took us another 30 minutes to get our checks. If you're looking for cheap bar food and don't mind repetitive music at varying levels of volume and being ignored by your bartender, give Sidelines a try.

Bonus points for being in Mount Washington, which allowed us to ride the Monongahela Incline up and the Duquesne Incline down. Yes it was a bit of a walk but Bigham Tavern was worth it! It was a Monday night, so there was also live music. Crowd was reasonable and we were seated at a comfortable table with a good view of the television. Our waitress was awesome, so patient! Her patience was tested because we don't drink much and wanted to order the food gradually throughout the game. We benefited from happy hour pricing for a tasty pickle dip and glasses of wine. We added some outstanding wings, so many great flavors to choose from! Next phase was an outstanding gluten free pesto and mozzarella pizza! Crust was too good to be true! The game was rough at first but turned around in time for me to order the Big Ham sandwich with a side of kale salad. The sandwich was delicious and served on a pretzel bun. The kale salad was an awesome side dish, tons of flavor! The game kept improving and we enjoyed the rest of it in the bar area with some great fans. Lots of televisions. Great neighborhood vibe!
