We ended up sourcing most of our team independently (caterer, lighting, dessert, photographer, officiant) because she offered no alternatives and little guidance. Her actual contributions were minimal--mainly inputting our own rental lists (often incorrectly) and pushing a florist who was unprofessional and tried to upsell us on unnecessary items. When we raised concerns, she repeatedly got defensive and claimed she limits options to avoid "overwhelming" couples, yet rarely provided more than one choice. On the wedding day, coordination was poor. Guests were directed into the bridal space before the ceremony (the BRIDE had to ask family to be seated...), meaningful décor items provided by family weren't set out as instructed (items all labeled with an clear itemized list), and our photographer and DJ--not the planner--kept the timeline on track. The following day, we had to return to the venue to fix misplaced rental equipment - another job that she failed to do properly without any apology. Our wedding turned out beautifully despite her involvement--not because of it. I would NOT recommend hiring her.

This turned out to be a beautiful, unifying aspect of the day that couldn't have been pulled off with our coordinator --Since my husband and I couldn't be dragged from the dance floor to cut the cake, our coordinator had the great, spontaneous idea to have our brother (baker of the cake) bring it to us on the dance floor. We now have these fun, silly photos of us feeding each other while dancing, something many guests thought was a rehearsed performance but was actually just a wonderful spur-of-the-moment event! --Our day of coordinator brought us drinks and food, ensuring that we ate. She checked in with us frequently on what we needed, how the flow of the evening was going, etc. I highly recommend this artful, creative company for your wedding planning needs. With the services that we went with, most of the magic started a little over a month before our actual wedding day. Allison collected all our vendor contracts and worked in parallel with our venue event coordinator to ensure that no detail was missed in the planning process.
