Geeat laundromat and I still prefer it over the others in glen cove, but they're not my go to anymore. I would give my clothes for drop off and the lady with curly hair (always smiling) would do a great job. She would hang dry my clothes that were delicates without me even asking. I always tipped well and appreciated the great service. The best part was, they hung my wet clothes on hangers so all I had to do when I got home was hang them right into my closet. As a busy working woman, what more could I ask for! :) However, the reason why I stopped coming here: 1. They stopped hang drying and providing those hangers, and told me it would be a ridiculous extra charge to have that service done. They already charged extra per pound for drop offs than the other laundromats in the area (which is fine with me considering the service they provide), but now to say that that's not included in the service anymore? What am I paying premium price for then? The worst part is, in my last laundry pick up, I had someone pick my laundry up for me, and the staff there asked the person to bring back the hangers. To me, that's very unprofessional and not a good look for business. To penny pinch on hangers worth not more then 25 cents is a bit ridiculous to me. I understand you may be trying to cut costs, but don't take away the one thing that sets you apart from the other laundromats. 2. In my last pick I found my pants hung up in a way that made me very upset. The way they hung them made an extra gap on the sides of the pants (all of my work pants). Many of my clothes in this load just looked so worn out from the wash. A lot of my pants had strings coming out. The last service done was just a major turn off for me. I'd love to go back and have the service included in the drop off price, but I won't be paying top dollar to be penny pinched on good services. read more

A wonderful laundry mat in the town of Glen Cove. My wife and I do our wash there exclusively after trying what the town had to offer. Lots of space to spread out, tons of machines, and a friendly staff. I think they are running some specials right now (Dec 2013) for free soap for each machine, so check with the attendant. HORRIBLE ! If I could give 0 stars I would. This place was great when it first opened. It's been steadily getting worse since then. The machines are poorly maintained and always some issue with them. Will never go again after tonight. LAUNDROMAT: I always wash bedding in hot water. Fill and start up washers and we noticed NO HOT WATER. No sign, no one mentions it when we come in. -spoke to attendant. Says it's been an issue, come back tomorrow if I want hot or warm water. While loading into dryers... I noticed Washer- high pitch screeching. Told attendant there was an issue she doesn't seem to care. Mentioned there should be a sign or she should let people know... also regarding hot water as they come in. She said she just worked there and couldn't do anything. She said she spoke to her boss cause we were unhappy and then put in 5 quarters for 3 of the dryers. I spent $50 tonight total... I live close enough that I can go home between wash, dry etc. I came back the place smelt like burnt rubber. It's coming from the dryer I have laundry in. All soaking wet, I told the attendant again and she says to move it and she puts some quarters in. I now have to wait another at 32 minutes for my stuff to dry. No sign goes up for the dryer that is not drying clothes or the washer that seemed like it was going to blow up at any second. She just didn't seem to care. They normally put signs up when something isn't working. There were signs up for other things like the 3 washers that weren't working, and the 2 dryers that were 'not hot'. DROP OFF: I've dropped my laundry off once only. They lost half my clothes. They eventually found the missing clothes (about 15 articles of clothing) but only after I called numerous times, went there twice, had to dig through their lost and found. read more

I went to this laundromat at 930 pm. The door was locked and I saw a woman sweeping the floor. I knocked on the door a few times but she didn't come to the door. The laundromat was supposed to be open until 11 so I didn't think to call. I ended up wasting a trip as no other laundromat was open late enough. read more

If you want your clothes to get destroyed, drop them off to "Orchard Laundry Service". They completely destroyed three collared shirts of mine; the one, for example, was a very bright yellow, and now it's a very dark yellow everywhere except the collar and the sleeves. The lady who washed the clothes had the audacity to fold the shirt and put it with the rest of the clothes, thinking that I wouldn't realize it was destroyed. Not only that, but the owner called my wife "crazy" when they spoke on the phone and my wife demanded to get reimbursed for the price of the shirt. We had set-up an appointment to meet at the laundromat the next day and discuss the matter, but the owner never showed up, and just left us an envelope containing the amount we paid for the entire laundry service. Simply ridiculous, already filed a complaint with the FTC (consumer protection division). Job well done, "Orchard laundry service"... If I could give them -5 stars, I would gladly do it read more
