As a last resort I called Livonia Family Medicine Associates since my PCP Dr Bradley works there. I called at 1PM, was seen via video visit at 3:30, and at 5:30 arrived home with my antibiotic script in hand. Five days of pills later, I was cured. I was truly appalled by the hideous attitudes of a majority of the staff members at this office (doctors aside). The women at the front desk spoke with a rude tone and volume to every person who checked in. Privacy and tact do not exist here. When asked to fill out a form, I was not clear on instructions and requested clarification. The response from the woman at the desk made it clear that I was an inconvenience to her. These same women are consistently chatting and having side conversations as if they don't notice you're even there. Clearly, patient care is not a priority here and the staff members are not trained or interviewed for appropriate customer service skills.

Once, we waited for nearly three hours to see the doctor just to be told we would need to schedule another appointment to see a different doctor. I have never encountered a time when we can see a doctor on time. If you have an appointment here, you might as well schedule the entire morning or afternoon off because that is how long you will need to wait to see your doctor. The last time we went, several people were waiting for the same doctor in front of us. We had been waiting for over half an hour when three more people came in to see, yep, the same doctor. How can they schedule patients like this and let them wait for an hour or longer? I have witnessed patients often upset with the poor service, with one complaining that her appointment was canceled without her consent. On top of that, the facilities are dirty and look like the seats, floor, and windowsills have not been cleaned in years. I had to go to the restroom and was directed to the unisex bathroom by the reception area. There was a brown stain on the toilet seat. I had to ask a worker if there was another bathroom available, and when I asked why all I could say was that the bathroom was not clean. Completely disorganized office, dirty and unhygienic. I have told the patient not to return to this clinic.

I received a phone call from Christine, she said she needed insurance info I told her that I did not have my card but I told her who my insurance company was, the type of insurance it was and my employer's name (based on numerous experiences, throughout my ENTIRE LIFE this is all that's needed to find out a person's insurance info) She said that she could not find me in the computer, I said to CALL she said NO she would not call. I asked to talk to the Office Manager, but I got someone in billing, Donna - same thing with her, and then (after I got very upset at the despicable patient relations) I was told that I'm not welcome as a patient if I didn't do the legwork myself and get my insurance info. I was also told that even if I did provide my insurance info over the phone I had to physically bring the card in to the office so they could verify it. Never in my life have I had issues like this. I would gladly provide my card if I had it, but I know that in instances when a patient does not have the info, that it is the billing/administrative staff's job to find it out. They flat out refused! I can't understand if it's because they are lazy or if it's because they hate their jobs. I would give the office staff there 0 stars if I could. I never saw the Doctor. I'm complaining to Beaumont Patient Relations and hoping I can even complain to the State Medical Board about the administrative staff here. I will certainly let my cardiologist know that he shouldn't refer patients based solely upon the office staff.

QUEST is their vendor who does these tests. For Vitamin D test, they charged 250 dollars through Prime care. If you go direct to Quest its around 60 dollars. You can shop around and can get for less. I feel like this is day light robbery. I feel only Dr Shively is good here. Rest are not worth going to. For Urine and blood test , I think its better take the prescription and shop around. DO's for general medical and family care are BETTER! They are trained extremely well, think things out and trained to look at your body as a whole being and aren't just saying, "yeah, ok, let's write you a script, and never find the root cause. Primecare of Novi knows how to care for people and children. I also like the fact that there are a few women in this practice. Every one of these doctors is super nice as well.

He listens to everything you tell him... he's not judgemental, and he goes with the flow with everything that is going on. And being a doctor, I'm sure that is a hard thing to do sometimes. But once I was introduced to him, and having him just being a few years older than me... I felt a great connection with having him being my doctor. He's been able to help me when I've been in a pinch with being sick, and is always willing to take a late phone call from you to verify that things are still good with you. Its that type of personal respect that makes it in my book.

She is part of the infinity primary care system. I really like Dr. Fitzgibbons. For my primary appointment, she spent a good 45 minutes with me, and I had some pretty strong concerns that she spent time talking to me about. She is extremely friendly and approachable. The office is busy. If you get an afternoon appointment, you may be waiting for a bit past your appointment time. There are many doctors there, so if you have to come in for something and Dr. Fitzgibbons is full, you can see someone else (her hours, btw, are Monday and Wednesday 9-5 and Thursday 9-12). So far I've been extremely pleased with the attention and care I have received there. They also have an email system set up so you can communicate with your doctor by email, which I like a lot since you can play a lot of phone tag with doctors normally.
