Work is fine but Insanely expensive. $4.59 per shirt for basic dress shirts on hangers is not worth it.

Okay yelp location is kinda screwy for Orchid Cleaners but 2 are in the Maitland Area. The Newer One is in the Publix Plaza and the older one is in the Plaza on Orlando Ave. (17-92 and Horatio) behind Jeremiahs about 300 yrds away. I use the older one for about 5 years now. Excellent Service, Quick ,and Helpful. It's run by John and Daniel with New customers they treat you great and regulars when you have an emergency consider it done, as they will help you take care of it. I DJ a lot of events and sometimes I need my stuff done for back to back events! I'm not Cher or anything but yes you gotta have some wardrobe LOL!!! HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY Recommend. Orchid Cleaners III - Dry Cleaning Near Me - Maitland, Florida

I have been using this place for the past few years and the last couple times that I went I spent hundreds of dollars to receive clothes back that were faded or still stained. When I pointed this out all I received was attitude and excuses. They also lost the cufflinks to one of my shirts, and it took the owner several months to replace them when all he had to do was order them on Amazon. I never even received an apology. Needless to say I will not be using them again. read more

I took an unlined jacket to Orchid Cleaners to have their seamstress shorten the sleeves. It was simply a matter of hemming them one inch, no cuffs, no detail on the sleeves. It took almost two weeks to get my jacket back and I was charged $31. I realize I should have inquired about the charges, but it never occurred to me that she would charge that much. Had I asked for a rush, I would have expected to pay more, but it wasn't ready the first time I went to pick it up when it was originally promised, and another week later it's ready for $31. To add insult to injury, the young woman working behind the counter was completely indifferent. If they are going to charge prices like that, a price list should be posted so customers can decide if they think the charges are reasonable before the fact. I submit this as a warning. I've learned my lesson and won't be going back. read more

I didn't have a good experience here. I've brought things to Orchid twice (possibly three times). Both times it took about 2 days before I got a call saying my clothes were ready for pickup - that was even with my asking for them to be expressed (willing to pay extra). I wasn't impressed, and chose to go elsewhere. A few weeks ago I got a call+voicemail saying "Hello Ryan, we have three of your shirts here from last year, come on by and grab them when you have a chance" - not the exact words, but that's the gist of the message. Full disclosure: I felt pretty dumb for having left drycleaning at a location for a year, who does that? I called in to find out exactly what they have of mine. The gentleman on the phone (the owner) was curt, and said they did not have anything of mine, or any record of anything being there. We talked for a little less than 10 minutes, he searched using my name, and number and then said he had nothing of mine. After explaining the situation to him he said he would look a little closer and then call me back. I took that well, it said that he was at least going to try a little harder than merely searching the database and telling me I was wrong that they had my clothes. He also said "we only keep garments for two years then we get rid of them." If I did in fact bring something in last year, then I'm within the two year policy. He did not get back to me, so I called him again today to check in. Again, the owner was very curt, and seemed like he just wanted me to go away. He said on this call "we keep things for 6 months, then give them to charity." He also blamed me w times "You left it here, so we got rid of it" "You didn't show up when we called you a few weeks ago, so it's not here now" I'm not really bummed at all about my clothes being lost or given away. If I went a full year without them then they obviously weren't terribly important. However, the phone treatment and the flip-flopping on the abandoned garment policy sucked enough that I needed to say something here. I know running a business is hard, but customer service is everything. When treated well I talk about it, when treated poorly I talk about it. If John had said "Sorry man, not sure why we called and said we have your clothes because it doesn't look like there's anything here" I would have responded with a shrug and told him it's no big deal. read more

I just bought 2 brand new pairs of slacks on sale at Nordstrom for $14 each. To dry clean them at Orchid costs $7.50. I'm not even cheap, but damn. I might as well just buy new pants instead of take them to Orchid again. Moral of the story, this place would get way more business if they'd didn't overcharge people. They'll be out of business soon at these rates. read more

Orchid Cleaners located in Maitland in the Publix plaza along with Starbucks and a Chinese place, I brought two pants and a jacket and it was done well but it took them a long time to do it at least a week in other places it can be done before that also they are very pricey. My pants alone each was $12 bucks to just cut the end of the pants so they would not drag on the floor, no wash or anything extra. I would prefer to go to another dry cleaner, they use to be a mom & pop location near by but it close , I think because this is a franchise and company it charges more. The staff is friendly and quick to get you in and out but over all EXPENSIVE. read more

Carl G. hit this on the head but I just wanted to validate how good they are. My mom used to come to this place all the time. We lived right there in Maitland, real close to the "old" location he talked about right behind Jeremiah's. Now my mom lives on the other side of town and has a good spot that she goes to but my wife and I are staying pretty close to this location so I brought some stuff down because I saw online that they do 20% off for new customers. Sure enough, they honored that deal and they were really nice. The quality is what you would expect and they get it done in a timely fashion. It's funny how they have another location practically right across the street. Just shows you how popular they are in the Maitland area. read more

This is the location next to Jeremiah's. I brought in 5 dresses and a dress shirt. Left with 4 dresses and the dress shirt. They lost one dress (my favorite dress and my rehearsal dinner dress for my wedding). They tried to tell me I only brought in 4 dresses, which is odd since my claim ticket specifically says 5 dresses plus the dress shirt. Nothing was done to rectify the situation nor was there the least bit of concern to do so. If you want to drop off some of your favorite items and not get them back then yes, this is the cleaners for you! read more

I've used Orchid Cleaners a few times over several years -- since before they moved to the Publix Plaza. I've used them to clean our clothes without incident, and I always use them to clean my fancy tablecloths after Thanksgiving and Christmas. This year, when I laid out one of my tablecloths, there were repeating stains. Their press had left an outline stain each time they had pressed it! There were stains over the entire tablecloth and all the napkins! I went to Orchid cleaners and asked if the stain could be removed. They acted as though they had no idea who I was and had no record of my ever having been there! What?! I couldn't believe it! I think I'll be heading over to Winterland Cleaners on Orange Ave. It's a little further, but they've always done a good job. I'm so disappointed in Orchid Cleaners. They didn't even try to make things right! If you use them, be sure to keep your receipt and check your items. I'm hoping that they at least they've cleaned their press. read more
