They had a lot of people in there, but got us in quickly and still took their time. They did two coats and then thought we might want another so they asked us before just assuming we didn't since you could see a little bit of the nail through. After driving by Orchid Nails & Spa for years, I decided to give it a shot when my usual nail place was closed for fall break and I needed to have my nails done for an event. I reviewed their website for services and prices and made an appointment online. I love that there is finally a nail salon that takes online appointments. Another big advantage is that they are a texting salon which means I can text them anytime with questions or requests, and they respond promptly. Their service range is huge. They do gel, dipping powder, acrylic and gel builder, and their prices are very comparable to the market. The fact that the prices are listed on their website means they're fully transparent about it. I've been to Orchid 3-4 times and it is amazing how busy it always is. Most of their clients have been going there for years and maybe decades, and you can feel it while talking to the technicians. All technicians that I have interacted with are professional and welcoming. The salon is clean and not too loud. I appreciated being able to get in quickly, but unfortunately the service was very rough. The technician repeatedly caught my skin while filing, and my nails felt very thin and sensitive afterward. I also noticed my right thumbnail was not fully cured since it looked darker and matte compared to the rest. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the service. read more

Unfortunately, I left with 5 nails bleeding. They used a nail drill to remove my cuticles and it caused me to bleed on 5 of my fingers. The attached picture is 2/5 nails 2 days after my appointment that were still bleeding even after Vaseline and antibiotic cream. I went in for a regular polish manicure. They drilled way too much of the skin around my nails and they are now bleeding and torn apart. They also drilled way too much on my actual nails and they are now flaky and thin. They did not file my left hand at all until I reminded them to and when they did the shape of my nails looked horrible. Overall a painful, unsafe, and disappointing waste of money. read more

Really took his time and made sure I liked the shape and color through out my session. Ok y'all let me just tell ya about this Orchid Nails & Spa. I had tried 2 other salons and all said they couldn't fit me in. So I call Orchid and they said to come on down. I am so glad that the other 2 locations couldn't because I am IN LOVE with how my nails turned out. Not only that the two techs/nail artists that tag teamed mine were what they called TNT - The dynamite duo - the color - the shape - the deep French/smiley French.... Absolutely stunning. The price was much higher than I've ever paid but the Deep French had to be hand painted on every nail. 10/10 or Yelps 5/5 for the Dynamite Duo!!! read more

I found one nail tech there that does a good job and have used her multiple times. I make my appointments with her well in advance. I made an appointment 3 weeks ago for today. I show up a few minutes before my appointment time and she says she is running behind and it will be 20 minutes. I was on my lunch hour so we reschedule for this afternoon. Again, I show up a few minutes before my appointment time and this time she tells me it will be 40 minutes!!! I left and I won't be back. No photos because I had a pedicure and I'm not posting photos of my feet online. With that said, I really enjoyed my time spent here. I did not feel rushed to make a color choice. Their massaging pedi chairs are extremely comfortable. They use the plastic liners in the foot baths so each customer is not touching foot germs from anyone else. This place seems very clean. I was given a menu of pedicure services from which to make a selection. The nail technician who worked on me gave my legs and feet a very thorough scrubbing with the body scrub and she did not cause any discomfort with the cuticle trimmers or any other tools. My toes look beautiful! This place did cost a bit more than some of the other places I've been to, but they also provide a higher level of service. I will definitely go back here for my next nail service. read more

The people were nice, but my gel mani started just peeling up around the edges of my nail after only 6 days! I have never had a gel mani last such a short period of time. I also has some concerns about sterilization and cleanliness of some of the tools. They also cut the skin around the nail which cause 2 of the three people on my party to bleed. It has also lead to a lot of peeling now of the skin around the nail. A 3/5 is probably generous. read more

I've been going to Orchid since salons opened back up during Covid. I was impressed initially, but today is my last visit. I make appointments, but they don't assign me to that person and they don't seem to have record of what service I've chosen. The nail polish is all very old so your pickings of something suitable are slim. They do have a large gel offering. They ask you to wash hands upon entrance, but don't let that fool you. Of about 10-12 chairs, they sat 3 of us immediately next to each other. If you've gotten a pedicure, you know that's not social distanced. I also didn't see them wipe down ANYTHING. The bottoms of my feet are now so cracked, I'll need a treatment of some sort. I will certainly not be back! read more

I went to the salon the first time a couple days ago. I had a pedicure. I really enjoyed the service. For $32 the gentleman was very thorough and I got a pleasant experience. I sat in chair number one and was hoping to get a nice massage but I think that one was broken because I kept having to reset the machine every couple minutes. That was very disappointing. I enjoyed getting my nails painted but I was in a hurry and left before they could dry. I ended up scraping the paint off of the few toes. I went in to get them touched up today but I was charged another eight dollars. I think they might've thought I wanted a repaint so, maybe miscommunication there? I got a manicure today and was pleasantly surprised by the meticulous job that my manicurist did. I would definitely go back for this. I'm trying gel nails for the first time. They were able to tell me the difference between gel and dip. That was good to know. I enjoyed the Disney background music. read more

It was a busy Saturday but I asked if they had time to do a gel pedicure and a gentlemen told me yes and which seat to sit in. I am a bigger girl so while I was getting my seat ready, one of the workers was staring at me the whole time I was getting in the chair. I told him the water was too hot for me to put my feet in and he said thanks someone will be right with you and walked away. It made me extremely uncomfortable that he was staring at me the entire timeI waited a while for someone to adjust the water temperature for me. They do not use liners for their pedicure baths and that should have been my first warning. Then another gentlemen fumbles over to do my feet, didn't see him wash his hands, with a bowl of unwrapped pedicure tools. The fact that they didn't come in a sterile package should have been my second warning. He was very rough and rushed the experience. When I left (I did not photograph) my left big toe was bright toe and hurting. I thought it could be from him scrubbing the dead skin off so I brushed it off. My toe has hurt every day since. This morning (1/29: photo attached for proof) my toe is bright red, painful, and oozing pus. I even attached my bank statement to prove I received a service there. I did not receive an itemized receipt so that is all I got. I will never return to this unclean, unfriendly establishment and I advise you don't either. read more

I recently relocated from Pa. to Greenwood. After settling into my new residence, I went to a local nail salon. Not good. Next time I was due for a manicure/pedicure, I tried another place, nope. I went to my salon in Pa. for 20 years and they were very good. While chatting with my granddaughter, she said "you must go to the Orchid salon", that is where I have been going for years. I am so glad she recommended Orchid. Absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and outstanding service, offering every possible nail technique and other services as well. Very fair pricing. Give it try. My most recent gel manicure has lasted over 3 weeks without any chipping or peeling! I normally can't get more than 1.5-2 weeks so I was impressed. Especially with white, it fades and gets dingy.
