Very professional and comfy salon. Recently started using Maddie and she did not disappoint. Had my second visit and have been very pleased both times. Made an appt for my daughter to get her hair cut. We arrived 5 min early and sat in the lobby for 30 min at which time we were told it would be another 20 mins. They made no effort at all to accommodate her. She was so excited and crushed when we left without so much as an apology. 3 members of our family used to go there.....never again!! A SALON THAT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST PEOPLE WITH COLOR!! I scheduled a hair appointment with them today for 11am, they told me to come in. So I did. I even skipped church to go to this appointment. Also checked in with them a day before on saturday to confirm the appointment. But when I came in at 11am, they told me they were already taking care of another customer so i had to leave. The customer service towards people with color is horrible here. If you are going to be so racist at this day and age, go live in a hole. read more

I was a little disappointed with the overall atmosphere of a salon that held an AVEDA title. I'm used to the whole AVEDA experience - scalp massage while shampooing, offer for an arm/hand massage or a neck massage, front desk staff offering you a beverage while you wait, etc. I'm an AVEDA privilege member and was never asked if I was and for my account information. I assumed that for such a high traffic area it would always be busy, but even during the week there were only a few people in staff at one time. A layer of dust covered unused stations/equipment/even the hallway. Once checked in, the front desk staff pretty much ignore you. My sylist did an ok job, but I definitely had the impression they only wanted to do one highlight color and get me in/out of the chair as fast as possible in order to take another client while I was processing. I'll be making the trip to Cincinnati/Northern KY to go back to my previous salon because they just treated me so much better there. read more

So disappointed with the customer service I have received. I had a wedding function to attend and scheduled a haircut appointment at 12. I then asked for a spa pedicure to be done either before or after the haircut and was given an appointment for a spa pedicure at 12. I made certain that I wanted the Spa Pedicure, not the regular one and I had a haircut scheduled with adequate time between services. Well... was given a confirmation call in the morning prior to the appointment to confirm the spa pedicure at 10 and the haircut at 12. Shortly thereafter in the afternoon I received another call to tell me they can only do a regular pedicure at 10 and that my hair appointment is at 11. I do not appreciate my services and schedule to be changed last minute and without consideration. This is not professional salon etiquette. read more

I always have gone to see Katie, and she is fantasic. i'm amazed i'm the first person to have written a review for this salon. as far as haircuts go this is the best for the price and the atmosphere in the greenwood/southside area hands down. Katie does a great job of doing exactly what kind of cut you ask for, and also does a wonderful job styling. My entire family has used her as a stylist at one time or another just about, and they are always very happy. Laura has also done my hair once and she also did a great job, one of my good friends would argue that Laura is better, because she is her stylist, so you have two options when you go! I should point out that Wildflowers is an Aveda salon so they use all their products, and you can also buy the Aveda line there, which is handy, its one of the only places in greenwood you can do that at. read more

Was in town visiting for a few days and my hair was driving me absolutely insane! I was over my trim by an embarrassing number of days ... weeks ... okay, MONTHS! I was sitting at a restaurant and seriously contemplated pulling a Britney Spears and just taking some clippers to it. Realizing that it was winter and I might regret that rash decision, I pulled out my trusty Yelp app and looked for the nearest salon. Wildflowers popped up and I called to see if they could fit me in stat. They were very accommodating and slipped me into a slot in only an hour, perfect! The salon was clean and inviting and my stylist was very friendly. No, it wasn't the best haircut I have had in my life, but it was shampooed, 4 inches shorter and had nice layering. Plus, I think it takes a few appointments with the same person to really have a good understanding what you want and, more importantly, what you need anyway. The prices are unbeatable for an Aveda salon, $35-$45 depending on the stylist! Now, that's a steal! I would absolutely recommend Wildflowers to anyone in the area who might be looking for a new place to get their ears lowered. read more

I have been getting my hair cut regularly at Wildflowers for 18 years in a row. Like another reviewer has said, Katie is my preferred stylist. Disclaimer: I am a guy. My short haircuts from Wildflowers always last at least 6 weeks - my hair grows out evenly, and lays flat nicely. Carrie is also excellent for a men's haircut. My 4 year old son gets a great haircut from Carrie. I enjoy the scalp massage and the hair wash as a part of the Aveda Wildflowers experience. Talk about a relaxing experience! I went to Wildflowers for the first time last night for a haircut. Before I sat down, the stylist asked if I wanted any water, which was a nice touch. She then asked if I wanted either a complimentary scalp massage or a hand massage before she shampooed my hair. I picked the scalp massage and it was amazing. The products used to wash my hair smelled so refreshing. I had tons of dead ends and my hair was sort of "bleh". The stylist did an incredible job of cutting/styling my hair, along with educating me on how to take better care of my hair. She gave me tips without being pushy or condescending. I love my hair now and will definitely be returning to Wildflowers to have it cut and treated. Between the complimentary massages and the evening hours, this is the most accommodating salon I've been to. read more

I like to donate my hair once a year and this place will send it off for you. My first experience with this salon was absolutely amazing! I wanted a drastic haircut done to my shoulder length hair, and I got way more than I asked for! Haley did such a great job! I gave her creative freedom. She had it styled the way I asked and with a simple flip of the hair to the other side with the blow dryer (just so she could trim some edges), she created a brand new style that we both went "AH HAH!" to! I purchased two Aveda products for curly hair totaling $60 yesterday before I paid for my products I asked the receptionist what was their return policy Because I was not too familiar with the products I just saw a YouTube video that recommended the products she assured me that I could get my money refunded back guaranteed And only after I paid she made up some story that she could not print me my receipt and I was very concerned and said what about our conversation just now if these don't work out for me anyway she did not print me a receipt I could not get a receipt But once again she reassured me I would not have any problems if I didn't like the products however when I went to the store today to return they refused to give me my money back and the manager told me that the worker had no idea what she was talking about so buyer beware they kept the products and did not refund me a dime and kept my $60 I can't Believe it they must not have any business if they have to steal from their customers!! read more

Hannah did my daughters hair and got hair color all over the back of her shirt, her face and inside her ears. Thought it was a sloppy job and the hair color turned out more purple than brown. I do wish that they were a little more plush and offered the full Aveda massage/facial side but for hair they were great! I was an avid Aveda customer in Atlanta and have tried to find a similar experience since moving to south Indianapolis. This is NOT it. I was in tears when I left this salon. Horrific Customer Service!!! My 11 yr old daughter had waited months to get her hair cut. Our schedule finally worked out to make the appointment and we headed to the salon. Upon checking in we were told our stylist was running about 10 minutes late. Thirty minutes later I asked the co-owner Theresa how much longer we had a class to get to and she told me at least 20 more minutes. When I explained to her we had already waited 30 minutes past our appointment time she ROLLED her eyes at me and said there was nothing she could do. I asked if possibly someone else could cut her hair so we could make her class and she said NO. We left and said we would never be back nor would anyone else in our family and she just shrugged her shoulders as if to say she could care less. When sharing this on Facebook. Several other friends commented about similar experiences and rude service. Would never recommend to anyone!!!! read more
