Normally, the Greenwood Mall location is very good. Sometimes, there's a little difficulty communicating. But, overall, it's a good experience. However, this time, the lady nicked both of my heels while providing a pedicure. It stung but didn't bleed. She applied something from a nail polish bottle. It's clear but I have no idea what it was. Fortunately, (I think) I wasn't allergic to it. They also had a sneaky price increase. Last year, a percentage discount was given for paying in cash. This year, the cash price is unchanged but there's a 2.5% upcharge for paying with credit. They're a small business so they do have to pay for credit card usage. But, now, the customer doesn't receive the discount for cash but avoids the penalty as the cost is passed to the customer. I'll probably go back but it'll be some time. My heels really sting and I wasn't offered any compensation or discounts. --------------- Removed a star. I had a * gel * manicure and a normal pedicure on Sunday. Came in for a soak off at first and lady was attempting to pop them off. Then she told another boy come he soaked my nails for a little bit then started drilling. As a mall employee, I often have to peep the shops to see what's new and I always dropped marketing material for our store off here so I thought, why no check it out - now I know why I shouldn't have. Though they have me sit fairly quickly into signing in, I wasn't serviced for another 5-10 minutes. When they finally begin filling my tub for the pedicure I wished to receive, the water temperature was very low so I let the gentlemen filling it know I'd like it hotter please. He told me to hold on. Turned it off. Left for a few minutes, came back and began filling it with the same colder temperature water. Again, I asked for warmer water, he did the same thing, and then another gentleman who worked came over and asked did I need anything. I let him know I told the other man about the water and he said we will take care of that before waking away, as the original man who was servicing me was walking out of the store into the mall. I decided this was my cue to find another business to get a pedicure. There are several nail salons within less than a minute of the mall - I highly recommend any where but here. read more

Well...Have you ever cried in the nail salon? My experience at luxury nails was very bad and devastating. I was sat down at 2:15 and wasn't finished till 5pm. I know no one wants to sit for hours to get there nails done. I got paired with a lady at first that tried to do my nails from a picture I gave her. My nails looked nothing like the picture and it was very upsetting because it looked like dog shit. I felt as if she got mad and asked another guy to take over so he did, not knowing anything about how to do my nails. I once explained and he got to work. The man cut my fingers multiple times and tapped where he cut me and just looked at me as I was grasping. he then began to glue the leaves on with the nail glue: and proceeded to go over her work. I was sitting there crying and I had to speak up and tell him that I don't want him to go over her work on those 4 fingers since it's clear. He was rough and so was she. They both were leaving the shave thing on my nail so long in one place that it was hot. I did not have a good experience at this place at all. After the lady made the guy take over he took his mask off and coughed on me as well..the owner gave me $20 off after I stated how I am not happy with my experience and how I have been here for way too long but overall i will not be returning to luxury nails in the greenwood park mall. Lesson learned-Do not go to nail salons that are open are sundays! I don't not recommend going there. read more

My normal nail place is currently closed but my husband wanted me to do something for myself for my birthday so I went here with a friend. They got us in quickly but the whole process seemed very disorganized. The environment felt extremely tense the whole time. When I was washing my hands I noticed one of the "clean" towels on the counter had what looked to be blood stains on it. I got a manicure and my friend got a manicure for herself and her daughters nails painted as well. Somehow I ended up paying more for my nails than my friend paid?? I had a great experience here! My Mom, a friend, and I went for pedicures on a Sunday at noon. We got right in. Place was clean, massage chairs were super comfortable and nice, the place didn't smell horribly like the super strong fumes most nail places smell like, and were greeted immediately. We got the Natural Deluxe Pedi with Gel, which included hot towel, foot & leg massage, oil, lotion, and a foot & leg scrub. It was truly awesome. The guy who did my toes was amazing, never hurt or cut me. My toe nails look amazing. My friend and Mom were super pleased with the ladies who did their pedicures as well! Would highly recommend!! The tools were extremely rusty and dirty, despite being taken out of a conveniently named "sterile" bag. They were also dull, which was quite painful and leads to a messy result. The manicurist didn't trim my nails, even when requested, and there are still hangnails. It looked the same when I left as when I went in, and when we told them they still charged us full price. The pedicure was painful. Also, I was wearing a dress and the man provided with only a small handtowel to cover me up, and then moved it a few times, making me extremely uncomfortable. They also weren't very friendly and were pushy about up charged services. And expensive to start with. My gel manicures last for less than a week before they start chipping and coming apart from the my natural nail. They are just rushing through the work and take the next person. There is nothing luxurious about this salon. The staff is rough with your hands, crowd around and have side gossip in their native tongue, and constantly try to upsell. Speaking in a different language is fine, but crowding around an individual, staring, and speaking is another story. They made me bleed with no apologies. This place was not for me. I got a manicure and pedicure while I was there. When getting the pedicure, the person doing mine kept getting up and leaving in the middle of the process and not coming back for minutes at a time. I also feel he cut my nails too short and this morning they hurt like he went too far. I was also cut during my manicure and bled and he said sorry and was very kind but seems very unprofessional. The man who did mine was very rough on both the feet and hands and almost rubbed my skin raw on my fingers when buffing. I bled two times. Along with this, the ending price for my manicure and pedicure was 72 dollars, and with all of the issues I ended up having I feel like it was not worth the experience and that your money would be better spent elsewhere. This place is a fucking mess. The people were horribly rude right off the bat. I'd never been here before and was confused on the check in process as there was no one up front and I stood there for several minutes before anyone walked up and (yelled) told me to sign in. After I picked my color (which took all of two minutes and they rushed me through that) they told me to sit at number 8. Grabbed my polish and turned around,the man is gone, and there's someone sitting at number eight. I stand just off to the side of her looking around trying to figure out what to do when he comes back around the corner waving and yelling again. I explain that there's obviously someone at number 8 to which he rolls his eyes and has me sit next to her at 7. I sit for another ten minutes while he sits and watches an infomercial on the tv and then finally he starts my nails. I had clear polish on and he got all huffy and instead of just using alcohol decides to drimmel off my polish and start flying. Disregarding the fact I was there for a manicure. Not a full set. I tried to explain and he walked away for several more minutes aggravated. Came back and continued to glue tips to my hand roughly pulling at my fingers. He ended up cutting my cuticle twice and making me bleed, and I also told him he was hurting me with how rough he was three different times and he still persisted. I ended up not even getting the color put on. I made him stop after the acrylic was applied. Told him I was ready to leave. He wanted me to pay full price and I explained I was only paying what the manicure would have cost not for the service he mistakenly gave me. He finally acquiesced and then had the gall to hand me a punch card to come back. Needless to say they couldn't drag my cold dead corpse in there. I will not return! I waited a long time, they have a little selection on nail polish colors, they are rude, no customer service, they are too quick, and overall it was not a nice relaxing experience. I'll address my toes first... There is polish on my skin around my toes it looks horrible! The manicure I would say in short it was a nail polish change not a manicure. The water in the bowl was cold, the guy man handled my fingers, he cut each nail with just 1 clip & then hardly filed them, he then slopped on the cream for my cuticles & then very hard he pushed once on each finger it hurt & my cuticles are not pushed back, the polish is ok on my fingers however it's only been 6 hrs and the polish is already coming off. Yes I cooked dinner but I used the dishwasher I didn't even wash my dishes by hand. My nails look like they have been painted for over a week & I was typing the whole week. I can't believe I paid $32 for this! I was charged $27 and he made me pay before he painted my fingernails so I had to tip something descent in hopes my nails would look ok. All in all I can't say a single good thing about this place.
