Horrible salon. Super unprofessional did not even do what I asked, and did not properly finish the acrylic nails. I told them my nails were lifting and they did not fix them which resulted in both of my pinky nails breaking just by putting a shirt a on, 4 days after getting them done. And they cut my cuticles 4 times when I told them it hurt which resulted in bleeding. Then when it was come time to pay I paid with two different cards since it was for my mom and myself and their machine declined my card (which I had money) and the lady made fun of me saying "you ain't got no money, no money, no money, broke." If I could give this store no stars I would. And I have been to MANY nail salons and this was my first time at this one. Horrible, would NOT recommend. Wish I had read the negative reviews before coming here. First time here and I had the same issues that some of the negative reviewers had. I don't even think anyone working in the nail salon had a license to do nails. The cleanliness was abhorrent. The man did the worst job ever on my nails. They are so thin. The acrylic is uneven and the gel polish does not even cover the acrylic up. It looks disgusting. I left and went to a nail shop closer to my home and they refused to fix them for a minimum of a week because of the cut/abrasion on my thumb. Updated review: They are all friendly and do a good job but i probably won't come back. I arrived around 11:30 and didn't have a lot of time, just enough for a pedicure - that is if they could get me in right away. I asked the lady if she had time and how soon and she said, "Yes, now." I was seated at the pedicure chair and waited about 15 minutes when the owner approached me and told me the guy who was doing my pedicure was on the way. She didn't get the water started or anything, I just sat in the chair with my feet in the cold plastic bin. I appreciated her bringing someone in to do the pedicure but I would have much preferred she had been honest and told me the wait time being that I didn't have a lot of time. Instead, I waited an additional 10 minutes until the guy arrived. Once he arrived, he did a good job on the actual pedicure and gave me a really good foot massage but then he said the owner would be doing my polish. She was still busy with another customer so I was getting a little more annoyed. When she finally came over to me she looked at the two polish options I had picked out - a neon peach and an off white. I told her I had decided on the off white because the neon pink was too bright for winter. She shook her head and said it was too light. I got the feeling she wanted me to do the darker option because it was easier to apply vs the off white which would have taken a few coats. I mentioned that to her and since I had to leave I told her to go ahead with the neon peach. The straw that broke the camels back was that as soon as she finished applying she put my flip flops on and motioned for me to get off the chair. I understand she had a couple customers waiting but I hate when you get up with wet polish and it gets smudged, especially because she did apply two coats of color and one top coat back to back with no time in between. The dry station was almost full and at that point I was so annoyed at the fact that I was lied to and was there for over an hour and a half that I just wanted to leave and get back to my errands. I wish I had left after realizing no one was going to get to me right away as I was told. I hope this was just one bad experience and they won't do the same to future customers. -------------------------- I had THE BEST pedicure I've ever had here! I've been to other places which have lots and lots of good five star reviews but none of them compare to this one. I had the classic pedicure with the $3 callous remover add on and a gel mai. The guy who did my pedicure did such a great job. My feet have never felt so smooth or looked so clean. He removed a huge amount of dead skin and trimmed my nails so nicely. So many places I've been to charge extra for callous remover and they don't even remove it very well and when they trim my nails, they leave the corners sharp and crooked. One thing I really really appreciated that they did here was that my toenails actually dried before leaving the salon (I'm sure it had to do with the application process). Other places send me off on my way knowing my nails are three coats thick and not dry which ALWAYS results in a ruined pedicure when my toenail is gently touched by something. I have come here multiple times and every time has been perfect. Coming from Long Island it was hard finding a great nail salon when comparing it to back East, but this place is definitely up to par. The Spa pedicure is what I typically get and they really take the time to do your nails well and are not rude when you ask for changes, like can you make them shorter, and the massages are always amazingly relaxing. This is hands down my favorite pedicure place in Tucson and I could not recommend them more. First time here and will be my last. It was VERY expensive. Gel pedicure came out to $42. $27 for a basic pedicure and FIFTEEN EXTRA for gel polish. I've never paid more than 8$ extra for gel polish. The audacity to charge an extra $15 is ridiculous and is just stealing from the customer. $50 for dip mani. I usually pay up to $40 for dip elsewhere. The charges are ridiculous and they don't have accurate prices up anywhere. Just a sign that they increased prices due to Covid but doesn't explain pricing and the increase in price is drastic. *DOES NOT EVEN DESERVE A ONE STAR* At first everything was going great! While I was getting my pedicure, one of the toes polish kept getting messed up. No problem, so the guy got the drill out to take the polish off and just start over instead of just adding more and more and he nicked my cuticle so bad it bled. Next, I was getting into my nails done by the gentleman who's at #4 (not sure if they change chairs). As he was or prepping my nails for my full set (the board said $30, that somehow after gel became $55) he got my middle finger with the drill as well. This time, it was so bad it bled and he tried to "fix it" by putting this blue ointment on a cotton ball, and then put it on my cuticle. This hurt MORE than him getting me with the drill and didn't even ask or say anything about what he was doing!!! HE JUST DID IT. Then, as he progress through the acrylic process, he nicks my cuticles not one, not two but THREE MORE TIMES to where they bleed. I somehow ended up paying $100 for AMATEUR nails. I got BASIC red gel short coffin nails, with white gel toes. There's bumps in the polish, my thumbs are ridiculously uneven and I was cut a total of 5 times. I went in for a pedicure. It started out great but the lady doing my pedicure was answering the phone too so she would keep getting up to schedule appointments. She didn't last 10 minutes with me when she had gotten up twice so I asked if someone else could work on me instead and a guy came and worked on me for about 10 minutes that's it no special lotions that I was happy to pay for and proceeded to polish the lightest polish job ever. Loved the girl who did my nails. They looked amazing and were perfect. I would go back to her. The young girl who did my toes and my cousins was not quite as good. We showed her pic of what we wanted, and while they looked nice, they were not like the pic. My cousin asked for a gel pedi and that didn't happen either. I've been coming here regularly for almost 2 months. Each time I got my acrylics filled. I love their quality work and friendly, generally well skilled staff. I would definitely recommend for getting your nails done. HOWEVER, the reason I gave only 3 stars is because I got my acrylics taken off here and it was the most painful experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I chose to go in because I didn't want to rip my acrylics off and damage my real nails, unfortunately, I paid $12 to have someone else tip off my acrylics and damage my real nails. It was such a painful process, they were each removed with an acrylic. My nails are left in various lengths, paper thin, some are cut into my finger and are almost see through in some places. Wintering in the area and based on reviews decided to give this place a try. I made an appointment for a spa pedicure and gel nails. They were welcoming and I felt the place was very clean as a first impression. I like the fact they use plastic liners in the pedicure sinks. I had the spa pedicure and I'm not sure of his name but he did a excellent job on foot massages. They offered quite a selection of fragrances for both the scrub and lotions you could choose from. I switched to another technician for gel manicure. She was very nice and did a good job of taking of my old polish. New polish was applied smoothly and I had a photo of some art which she did a great job on. I would definitely be a repeat customer based on my first visit. read more

I have gone to quite a few nail salons on the north west. Usually leaving less than impressed with my time spent there and how my nails turned out. I came to Orchid nails because they were close and still open the day before 4th of July. I made an appointment for 5:30. I was running late and had to call and let them know I couldn't make it until 5:45. They stayed open for my friend and me. The staff was so friendly and took their time despite us running late and them being ready to leave for vacation. I went in tired and not wanting to really talk and instead ended up chatting and having a great time. They all had a great sense of humor and just made us so comfortable.
