She asked me a few questions about my needs for a massage, led me into the room and told me to undress to my level of comfort and left the room. When she came back in, she lowered the lights to set the mood, started to work on my back, giving me an excellent deep tissue massage to work out all of the tension from the problem areas. An experienced masseuse, she even asked what else she could do for me to heighten the experience. We discussed some options, made a decision, and what followed was incredible. Ava was AMAZING! On top of that the lady didn't understand English very well and didn't have good technique. After my appointment finished I paid for it and went to see my partner. He asked how it was and I let him know it was ok. He asked if there was anything more. I said no I had my appointment, paid and left. Then he told me he actually paid for it even left a tip! I immediately contacted the establishment and the owner/manager looked into it and said oh yeah sorry about that and actually laughed. I was furious! I let him know it wasn't funny and would be coming back to get a refund since they double charged me. When we showed up the owner/manager said he could just refund my card so I didn't need to come back. My partner let him know that they ruined the surprise and it was bad business to double charge customers. The owner/manager apologized but didn't really seem to care. Sadly this was the last straw for me. If a business tries to pull one over on a good customer that attends each month and try to get away with double charging then not be sincere or even attempt to rectify an upset customer, well, they do not deserve my business. I frequent reputable places that treat their customers with respect and consideration.

I spend 2 hours with her and don't have 1 complaint about her services. I have had many spa services in the past but I must say, never such a great and peaceful experience than as with Bal. Update: They finally have some blinds now in the bright…read morelounge area- doesn't block the view of construction and still a tad too bright for spa ambiance. Would be great to have shutters. They have more of an assortment of snacks versus the Natures granola bars now. There's a bit of a sell of products at the end of the facial but not too pushy... no samples to offer which is tough to sell with pricy medical grade products. Thuy the RMT is amazing at addressing any concerns and offers stretches to help with issues after. Tried out the new location in Langley. Spa is beautiful. Super bright and airy and big too. Booked RMT- unable to book online but was able to book via email with response promptly. RMT is only through one therapist which is only on Tuesdays... bummer, I hope there will be more options later since places like Spautopia has many RMTs so it's easy to have a spa date. Lounge is beautiful- so bright ... only wish there was an option for it to be dimmer for a more relaxing... nap inducing experience. There's some snacks and water/tea availab Massage was lovely. Change room is big- was a bit odd there was no body wash but shampoo and conditioner in the shower stall. Sauna is small but complimentary to use with appointments.
