From our first interaction Joy was responsive and able to accommodate my hectic schedule. During our initial consultation I knew right away Joy was a person I wanted to work with. A former school teacher, Joy has the perfect mix of patience, cheerfulness and "let's get to it" attitude that put me at ease. If she has judgements, she keeps them to herself and makes the whole process feel fun. My project was a second bedroom that had turned into a bit of a junk closet and was no longer really usable on account of all the stuff I'd haphazardly thrown in there. Joy actively listened as I explained my work/life and hopes I had for my stuff and the room. Following the initial consultation she told me it would take a full day and that she'd bring two other helpers. By the end of that day I'd have my room back. I got that and a lot more. On the day of, my three organizing angels turned up with clear boxes, garbage bags and all the necessary supplies for serious organization. They set up a folding table in my living room and hauled everything out of the second bedroom. During this time I was not needed at all. That's one of the things I really loved about working with Joy: I could do my own work whilst she and her team set about to organizing and they'd simply call me in when they needed my input. I'd taken the day off thinking I would need to be much more of an active participant and since that wasn't the case, I had plenty of time to do laundry and take care of other household chores. The organizers finished the second bedroom faster than expected and moved on to organize my bathroom, pantry and bedroom closet. When there was still a little more time left they worked on a small part of the living room too. By the time they departed, I had a nearly empty second bedroom with a super organized closet finely tuned for my extensive travel and pernicious packing. Not to mention a better bathroom set up and a really good looking pantry that finally made sense. I also rediscovered many things that had been "hiding" in amongst my disorganization! It felt like Christmas at least three times that day. My household, as a result, is much more harmonious.
