If I could give them 6 stars I would! The process of installing new kitchen countertops was seamless with Bay Countertops. Efren, the owner, is friendly, patient, helpful and kind. The installer, Tobbie, was incredibly efficient (!), friendly and supportive in helping me decide on some of the small nuances of a new installation. They were back to install the new countertop in a few days which was a *big delight. The only feedback I have for the company is for the scheduler, owner and contractor to all get on the same page about timeline - the scheduler kept saying 1.5-2 weeks, everyone else said a couple days. I was glad they came back within a couple days but knowing a more appropriate timeline would've helped me manage my work (and other responsibilities) in a more grounded way. They were professional, provided a super quick turnaround, met my budget, and were an absolute pleasure to work with. The quartz countertops for our small kitchen look GORGEOUS!! Top quality business all the way. I am so very grateful to have found them - and so glad I didn't go with another counter place (whose bid was twice as much) or the cheap laminate counters that I almost installed. I am adding to my previous review: Today Cesar came to my house and did the reseal. It looks good and I hope this is what is needed to prevent mould. It is good that this reseal was done; however, I hope that for the next customer it will not be as difficult to ask for help to resolve an issue. After waiting for years to replace our kitchen counters, we visited Bay Countertops office, where they showed us a Silestone quartz slab they had on site, (which turned out to be exactly what we were looking for) and scheduled the install. They were able to come to our house and do the measurements and the template the day after the demolition and installation of the plywood base by our contractor/handyman, and they returned to install the counter and 6" backsplash a couple of days later. Our contractor then finished up the plumbing and painting the following day. Everything went far faster than we anticipated, everyone was very helpful and friendly, it was a pleasure to have them working in our kitchen! We are 100% pleased with the job, and highly recommend them! read more

I don't often write reviews but Cesar and his crew were awesome. All we wanted was to match what was in our kitchen in wood with Quartz. We wanted the same thickness and the same curves but other companies said we couldn't have both the thickness and the curves and just pick which one we wanted more. Bay Countertops said no problem, they do it all the time. They were so confident I had to grill them to make sure they weren't blowing smoke. In the end they did exactly what they said they would. I uploaded pictures and the curves are incredible. The pattern even wraps and it's beautiful! Great company, great work and good prices. Not the cheapest or the most expensive but worth the money. We paid a 50% deposit to have our kitchen counter refinished. Adriana confirmed receipt of the deposit and said the owner Cesar was scheduled to come out to do the work. Bay Countertops helped me with what I thought would be a 'minor' granite countertop project. But multiple other countertop installers said it wasn't within their abilities. Then I did find one other contractor who gave me a quote. Cesar at Bay Countertops came in at half their price! Communication was smooth, scheduling was easy, Cesar's team arrived and knocked the job out quickly. (Ok, sure, they arrived a little later than they originally projected, but in my prior experience, that's the case with 95% of all contractor appointments! I'm not going to hold that against them.) I called this company to do my countertops. When someone answered, they requested that I do all of the measurements and sent a picture to them of my kitchen. They also told me to draw out a diagram. I felt like this was a bit much for me being a customer but I did it anyway. After I sent them all pictures with measurements and a diagram, they never got back to me. I called them and the guy said that he will get a quote to me later that day. Never heard from them again. So 1 star because customer service is everything. We will be spending thousands of dollars on the countertops. At least they should do the measurements and get back to you with you having to call them back. Plus, what if my measurements were wrong? read more

My uncle started losing his strength and when he used the bathroom, used the sink as a support. Over some time, the pipes became unaligned and leaked. I added legs to the sink and sealed up the pipes, but thought it would be nice to add a counter to the bathroom. I found these guys on Yelp and were happy too know they were local. They came on over and I told them what I wanted, even though I didn't know the terminology, they knew exactly how I wanted it. They gave me several samples of granite and finishes to look at, and I just went with the simple stuff, but it still looked great to me. One big hiccup that bothered me during this whole process was that when they removed the old sink, they caused an even larger leak, though temporarily. I would have to replace the bucket every 5-6 hours to avoid flooding my bathroom and hallway. Unfortunately, the first night I was unable to do so and I woke up to a damp hallway rug and a bathroom covered in water. Luckily this was only for one weekend. That explains the removed star. They were also late to one appointment, but they deducted $100 off my bill which made that all good, but the flooding was the real pain. I have also recommended Bay Countertops to other friends and family. They have had less luck with BC as they don't seem as responsive as they were to me. Despite all this, my family and I were very satisfied with the end product and are glad we went with BC. read more

Don't believe the 4 1/2 star reviews that you see here! It is a lie! It's probably all of the owners close friends and families trying to hype up the place. I contacted the company via yelp to ask for an estimate and they turned me down. They accused me of using a "fake" photo and told me they didn't do commercial work based on ONE photo I sent. I reached out to the owner and clarified that I was not requesting for any commercial work. I own the condo that I live in and that I wanted to upgrade the counters. He asked that I give him a call so he could send someone to my home. However, I didn't feel like it was necessary since I am shopping around and comparing prices. I am only asking for a ballpark of how much it would cost. I sent all measurements and photos of my kitchen and bathroom as he had requested previously but did not get any response after that. There's plenty of great places in the bay. I will gladly take my service else where, where I am welcome and not accused of something based off of a petty photo! read more

abso the worst experience I've had in 15 years in the building trades. They gave a high bid but promised a quick turnaround, which was important on this job. They didn't show for the first template appointment, no call. They didn't show for the second appointment no call, no communication. Lots of excuses and three more no shows and three weeks past the other lower bid, and they say they're going to give a discount. They show up late, finish the job with a bunch of problems, then send me a bill with no discount, then threaten a mechanic Lein when I call them on it. A total nightmare. Bay Countertops not only has a great selection of full pieces ready to customize, they have a ton of remnants in many sizes. We wanted white quartz for the bathroom. This was a tiny countertop so a remnant was perfect. They treated us and the project like it was a major project. We wanted a mitered edge so the top and front (and side) would be seamless. Wow, wow, wow, did they do an awesome job! May be hard to see in the photo because all you can see is smooth quartz - and that's exactly what we wanted. We're still deciding whether to have them cut a backsplash, so that bit is missing, but I wanted to get this up now. read more

Top Notch! Exceeded Expectations by a mile! My wife and I went to numerous tile and stone places and visited various fabricators, and we were very happy that we chose Bay Countertops in Richmond for our home in Marin County. Very pleased with our new kitchen countertops (Silestone quartz in blanco orion). Cesar was able to work within our budget and schedule. The wait time between template and install was only one week! The crew was very open to my personal requests for modifications to the farm sink overhang and design. In the entire kitchen, we only have one small seam behind the sink. I give these guys a 10 star review if I can! I first got countertops from Home Depot and was a total disaster. I called them and they came to my rescue! They were able to do the bath tub without seams (unlike Duracite who came with four seams) and they gave me a quote over the phone since I had the template already. Efren came to measure and was able to install for me in a week knowing I have been stuck with a non working bathroom for months! They also helped me look for a slab within my budget since the one I originally pick was only offered at Home Depot! read more
