Finally got a moment to have dinner at Oregano. The restaurant is so very cute! I love the decor and all the photos. The staff were both kind and efficient. We came in without a reservation and were immediately sat. The food was good. I want blown away by the chicken parm and penne. The marinara sauce was a tad over-seasoned. But, their vodka sauce was very good! Certainly a spot I'll try again. read more

Their pasta is amazing, I've had their penne vodka and their gnocchi, their pizza was decent, but I prefer more cheese. Their drinks were also tasty. My experience last year was better than this year as far as service is concerned, this time around we had a very long wait (35 minutes) and the server wasn't the most warm, but he was attentive enough. The outdoor area was quaint and adequate. read more

I went w a friend after having a spa day and this place came up on my TikTok feed so I decided to try it .. they didn't have seats available outside but they had a patio that we decided to try. Everything was going well until it looked like it was going to start to rain . We were sitting in a corner of the patio which when it did start to rain we were getting soaked and when asked can we be moved inside was told the inside was full. So I'm sure this is not the first time it rains so don't you think they should be prepared for this? Our appetizer came was getting wet wasn't to happy with my pomegranate martini we still stood there they just moved the tables more inside n even to another table which still was getting wet but still I was getting soaked not even offered a complimentary drink for the inconvenience or maybe a discount for what was happening I wanted to get up n leave but we was like we here let's just deal with it. I think the establishment should handle these scenarios better besides that the food was fresh but just took a few bites n wanted to leave I was over it and I'm shoulders were wet wanted to dry up . So to the establishment maybe try to get a better cover when it rains or don't sit anyone in the patio if it's raining . read more

I was in the Williamsburg area window shopping and I happened to be near Oregano plus it was bookmarked. The restaurant doesn't seem that large from the outside, and in this case looks aren't deceiving. The circular tables were too small for the amount of food that we had ordered. I don't suggest coming here if you have a large party. However, the decor was very festive so that made up for it. The service was great too. We had decided to start off with the Truffle Burrata Crostini which was very good. The Chicken Francese which came with noodles was a good portion size. However, the Williamsburg pizza, I could've done without. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it would be and it was a bit too salty for my taste buds. I was told that it's a popular dish which had me wondering. Of course, I had to eat dessert, we got the Nutella Sundae. Omg! I would have ordered another cup of this dessert if I wasn't so full. read more

Another cute whimsical vintage decorated spot in Williamsburg. A tiny kitchen pumps out pizza and pasta with some salads and mains. I do think the pizza was a tad on the small side but it was exceptionally tasty, it's not a true Neapolitan style, it's kind of a cross between that and a thin NY pizza. The staff were really nice, and prices were average for Brooklyn. It's a small spot so I wouldn't recommend for large groups unless you reserve in advance. read more

So good that I was here twice in one week! Food, drinks, ambiance are all 10/10. Their cocktails are some of the best I've had--highly recommend their pomegranate martini and blush punch. For food, I love anything that has their vodka sauce (gnocchi vodka/penne alla vodka). The gnocchi was perfectly dense and soft at the same time and the penne was cooked perfectly. I would recommend adding their breaded chicken on top! Their chicken parm is cooked beautifully and I didn't feel disgustingly full and bloated after a decent amount of carbs and fried/breaded food. This spot is small but the ambiance is *it*. There is an open kitchen so you can watch the chef prepare everything--pretty cool! Good date night spot or for smaller groups. I also would recommend making a reservation to ensure that you can grab a seat where you want (dining room or outside). Service can take a little longer at times but it is so worth the wait! read more

Had a wonderful dinner with my family of 4 at Oregano to celebrate Father's Day this year! It was our first time dining there. We made a same day reservation and were seated immediately as we walked in. The space is tiny. We went around 6:30 and it was very dark inside/dim lighting, but cute. The walls covered in shelving storage holding up extra bottles of wine, champagnes through one whole side of the wall - looks nice. I noticed that our host, was also our server and bartender. He was moving fast throughout the space and was very kind and attentive to our table. We all enjoyed our meals: for the most part all ordered a pasta dish that we enjoyed. My daughter, who is 10, ordered a pizza she didn't enjoy and had a few complaints: there's no children's menu options and the round tables together is weird and uncomfortable, too many gaps in btwn. Such an amazing experience! My friend and i were able to snag a table around 9:30 (shoutout to the hostess forreal!!) the ambiance is so cute! Perfect for friends or dates. The music wasn't too loud and the service was impeccable. Now onto the drinks and the food: 100% fantastic! My friend had the prosciutto pizza and i had the fettuccine alla vodka with lobster. Fresh homemade pasta. Lobster pieces were huge. My friend's pizza was sensational- perfectly doughy without being burnt and the sauce was so good! This place was *chef's kiss* amazing! We ordered a bottle of the Chianti with the burrata appetizer, gnocchi vodka and Williamsburg pizza. My favorite was the gnocchi, I could literally take a bath in that sauce. You could also tell the gnocchi was made fresh, it was like biting into a pillow. Also enjoyed the cozy feel of this place + our waiter was great. Would definitely recommend! read more

I came here Tuesday evening after I spent the day at Bathhouse spa. It was a couple blocks away. The restaurant was small but really nice inside. I sat by the window that was open so there was a beautiful breeze. The server immediately came over and greeted me. He was very friendly and attentive. I ordered garlic bread and penne a la vodka. The food was really 11/10. Wow! Every bite, I couldn't believe how good it was. I didn't have any room for dessert but I can only imagine. I will definitely be coming back. This is my new spot! Got a chance to eat at Oregano in Williamsburg and they did not disappoint. First things first I recommend make a reservation cause this place is small and fills up quick. Give yourself a little time to find parking. This is a small quaint restaurant in Greenpoint where you watch the chef prepare your food in a wide open kitchen. It is small but comfortable and nicely decorated like a family restaurant should be. The chicken parmigiana with penne was some of the best I have had and the pasta with seafood was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. The bread could have been my meal it was so good. Make reservations because there are not many tables probably with a capacity of no more than 40 patrons. This is what Brooklyn was famous for and you will not be disappointed. read more

I'm partial to the chicken parm -- the layers of hot melted cheeses mixed into to rich flavor exploding sauce, lying on top of moist and crispy juicy chicken, is about as good as Chick Parm gets. Everything here is main with intention, consideration, methodical planning, so you get the perfect bite of mouthwatejng cheese, drink-worthy red sauce, all supported on a slab ot moist chicken whose outsides have been cooked a crisp (exactly how I like it). Do yourself a favor -- spoil yourself by getting your next meal from Oregano, then bring someone who lives in the neighborhood as well. read more

Cute little spot with great italian food. The interior has warm lighting, and a partially open kitchen where you can see the pizza oven and chef making pasta. There are mugshots of famous celebrities on the wall, and its a nice moody vibe. The space is a little small, but not a big issue. They have a great menu with tons of options. The cavatelli with sausage and broccolli rabe was amazing, and so savory. The vodka brutale pasta was creamy and had a nice kick of spice. I wish they had bread on the side. Beyond impressed by the food at Oregano and I am a tough Italian food critic. We got the truffle burrata, one order of the vodka penne and the spicy vodka sauce pasta - both were TO DIE FOR. The sauce is made with the freshest tomatoes, you can tell by how red/orange the sauce is. Drinks were amazing as well and price of everything was incredibly fair. We WILL be coming back. read more

If you are in the mood to be disrespected, come here! It is truly incomprehensible to me how this place has such a high rating on yelp. I came here on a Saturday with my friend and not only was the food aggressively mid but the service could not have been worse. We didn't get water for 20 minutes and they didn't refill it for the rest of the night. Our Caesar salad took 50 minutes and we only got it because we asked the waiter to check on our food. You know it's bad when we didn't even want to risk waiting for dessert; we would have been waiting until tomorrow morning! Even if the service had been good, the food was so aggressively mid I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

Our experience (2 person party) at Oregano was frustrating to say the least. We waited over an hour for our food while table after table, all seated after us, received their meals, drinks, eating. We sat there watching it happen with no explanation, updates, or urgency from the staff. Asked to speak with the manager, the response was laughable. Instead of an apology or solution, we were given a weak excuse about "how the kitchen organizes orders, what time our order went it etc..." Really? That somehow didn't apply to the tables that came in and ordered after us? Lol okay **2/10- food was good** No one took ownership, and no effort was made to make things right. Im disappointed in Oregano when there are plenty of other places in the neighborhood that actually afford their guests better experiences. My Recommendation: *Better train Managers on basic skills* While as a customer on a Saturday night I can understand things happen with orders and delays, there is no excuse for a Manager NOT: taking accountability, providing validation, taking action, and following up. All of which were not done during this experience. read more

Very cute, somewhat unassuming/hidden spot amongst the hustle and bustle of Williamsburg - which I usually avoid bc well it's Williamsburg. Love the interior: small but mighty. The service was great, relaxed, kind, chill, helpful. We ordered a salad and a pizza with fig, goat chz, prosciutto and added caramelized onions. Good all the way around. I WILL be venturing back, despite its location lol.. I've actually have wanted to go here a while so I'm happy this place didn't disappoint. When I go back tho.. we'll be ordering the carbonara. I ADORE a good carbonara so I'm hopeful they will show me the way :) read more

Firstly Mia is the best waitress in all of New York City and the boroughs. Next the food is delicious. The pastas are so fresh and homemade. The spicy vodka sauce arguably the best in the city. The burrata starters are delish. The decor is adorable. It's a really lovely date place. read more

Never had a problem with delivery when it was through Grubhub but now that they've switched to slice, will never order from here again. We waited two hours for our food, even though it estimated 20 minutes. It hadnt even been dispatched at two hours. When we called to ask about the status no one had any answers. We called to cancel our order and got a long run around from oreganos side since they refused to cancel our order with slice. Terrible customer service. Will never ever order from here again. Don't make the same mistake as us. read more

5 star food and service. We celebrated a birthday dinner here on a Tuesday night. Even on a Tuesday the restaurant was full, but the service never lapsed. The food always came out quick and piping hot and the drinks were cranking out. It's a small restaurant in Williamsburg pushing out big Italian flavors. I've been coming here for years and it never disappoints! Straight forward Italian favorites. Food is always fresh and well made and has that authentic Italian taste. They have added a nice little bar in the entrance which can easily serve as a drink stop for the evening. The bartender made the best cocktails ever ... seriously, I was shocked. A cute neighborhood Italian restaurant with a decent sized menu featuring traditional pastas and pizzas. The restaurant also has a great cocktail list and a decent range of Italian-centered wines. Service was pretty fast, not overly attentive but just the right amount. The kitchen was able to accommodate a gluten free pizza base and there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. read more

For the main entree, I selected traditional lasagna verde with three meat Ragù and Bechamel, while my partner chose homemade fettuccine al Ragù with pork and beef. We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was all delicious and came in timely fashion. We will definitely come back here to try the other dishes on their menu.

Gemelli - disappointing, and the only vegetarian option. The goat cheese totally overwhelms the dish, so you can't taste the pesto at all. The texture on the noodles was perfect at least. Passion project - delicious drink with notes of passion fruit, chocolate, and some spices. The others in my group also had the duck (which they found to be a bit overly loaded with duck fat) and the reginette (which they enjoyed). I'd love to see a more balanced vegetarian main course make it on the menu sometime. The bill for 4 people came to nearly $230 after tax and tip.

Seems a bit out of place next to a deli on a residential block. You can kind of miss it if youre not paying attention. We were a party of 6 and had a 5 PM reservation. You have to pass through this dark curtain and go to the middle of the bar where the host will greet you and bring you to your seats. We were seated promptly with no wait. The restaurant is VERY small. So much so that at our table, all I had to do was reach my hand out and I would have been touching the kitchen counter. It does get a little crammed/crowded, but not in an annoying or unbearable kind of way. The vibe is actually really cozy and rustic. Very dim lighting so either whip out the flashlight on your phone or hold up one of the real candles they have on the table to read the menu. The food menu is straightforward and simple. They have an extensive wine list. I love how on the food menu, next to each dish, they tell you the region of Italy that dish gets its roots from. They have lovely dinnerware here. They brought out a foccacia bread for the table with a tomato dipping sauce. Absolutely delicious foccacia. The sauce was a tad too salty for me. I started off with the mocktail Luisa. It was passion fruit, lemon, agave, ginger beer, and mint. It was $10 and very fresh and mouthwatering! For my appetizer I had the Calamari alla griglia. Grilled calamari with guacamole and carasau bread. I've never had grilled calamari before. Only either marinara or fried. I also thought pairing it with guacamole was an interesting twist. I was so pleasantly surprised by this dish. The calamari were perfectly fork tender grilled. The guacamole went well with it. The carasau bread was more like a tortilla chip. They give you a decent amount for $24.95. That app slid down my throat effortlessly! For my entree I had the Maccheroncini alla Norma. Maccheroni with eggplant in tomato sauce with ricotta cheese. The pasta was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The sauce reminded me so much of my Calabrian grandmother's. The ricotta made it rich and creamy. Filling as well. So much so that, even though it wasn't a huge portion, I had to take home half of it because I was verging on being stuffed! My mother had the Cotoletta alla milanese. Keep in mind that if you get this chicken cutlet dish that it serves about four people, even though its for 1! HUGE portion. About 4 enormous cutlets that gave my mom 3 days of leftovers! All of the desserts were $12.95. A nice selection to choose from, but I had the classic Tiramisu. They make it here tableside. He made it with such care. Loved watching him put it all together. Let me tell you, that was the BEST Tiramisu that I've EVER had! Wow, just amazing. Very balanced, quality ingredients. The marscapone was so decadent, creamy and fresh. I could have easily taken down 2 of them! I tried some of my mother's chocolate cake. Delicious and decadent. Service throughout our dinner was above and beyond. Attentive, kind, concise and our waiter was such a cutie! Smooth sailing throughout the entire meal. We barely had to wait for anything. Amazing restaurant and staff. The tagliatelle was also delicious in a more ragu centric way, still offering a good balance of flavor. Both dishes were pretty filling and so neither of us could finish it. We ended the night with cannolis, which was a pleasant surprise to find 3 came in 1 order. One side is pistachio while the other had a coco dusting. These were again delicious but pretty filling and sweet so we could only eat one. The staff here was also very friendly and service was quick with food coming out much faster than I expected. Overall I would come back and try even more on their menu.
