So that is what I did... easy to find, and per my medicare specialist.. usually only takes a few days to get in the system (he says online submissions might take up to two weeks). Lane County Dump as I like to call it is a great service. In the 5 years we've been here in Eugene…read morewe've accumulated some stuff that we simply don't need anymore. Last week I took 3 different truck loads here. I had never been here before, and when looking for help with questions, there were plenty of employee's around that were able to answer my questions. They have a lot of different areas to drop off anything from anti-freeze, to cardboard, books, batteries, bottles, reusable lumber, metal, plastics, plant pots and treys and that's just the recycling section. Once you separate everything out, the rest can head to the dump for 15.00 a sq. ft. Kinda spendy at the end of the day, but if you take the time to separate the papers and books and items as such, you can reduce your dump fee. Loads of wood may also be brought here for dumping. They charge 13.50 a load. Make sure you make it worth your time to do a dump run though, even though all I had to dump was an older AC unit today, I still had to pay 15.00 for it since it's considered an appliance. Looking back, I should've just took it to good will. I could've gave 4 stars if the fee's weren't so high, but the customer service is what kept it from being 2 stars.

Wow, I called the police out here about a month or so ago to report some additional damage that had…read morebeen done to my car. The officer that they sent out here a lady, asked me if I had any enemies and I told her about an incident that I had had at the senior living complex prior to moving to this location. She seemed to be more interested in that than she was the the additional damage that was done to my car. I asked her if she wanted to see the photographs of my car prior to the damage that I had been reporting, she said no. Spent quite a long time researching me, and left here without filing a report. I assume she was trying to protect the person I was having problems with prior to moving to this location. She seemed more interested in that person's reputation that my safety... UNBELIEVABLE. I no longer feel safe where I live.

We had a mental health emergency while dealing with a traumatic situation, and a concerned family…read moremember called emergency services (she didn't know about Cahoot as she was from out of state). The police spent SO MUCH time talking to me, understanding the situation, and making sure that EVERYONE was okay. In the end, they got me help while still being compassionate and attentive to my needs. I was impressed by their professionalism and compassion, and I was so grateful for their actions that night. And yes, they fully encouraged the use of Cahoots. I just wanted to post this because I feel like police get a lot of bad rep, but there are legit reasons for needing them. And Springfield (OR) police are some of the best! I want to show my support and maybe encourage others to see their positive attributes.

The Local Flavor Is Fun!…read more SITREP Mom and I blitzed down from Seattle through town to see our Oregonian siblings and cousins and we had fun! THE SETUP There are so many Thai and Mexican restaurants to enjoy (our favorite cuisines right now) that are reasonably priced. Voodoo Donuts is always a fun stop to grab a baker's dozen of some pretty special Choco-Peanut donut masterpieces to take back home with us. And the gas always seems cheaper here than it is back home. THE LOWDOWN Always love my time in Eugene, OR.
