I have had Starkey livio AI hearing aides poor to Audibel and they were a wonderful product. But now that Starkey has been creating brands, they are not giving same level of focus on all these brands as they have w the Livio and Evolv AI aides. Now due to damage from poorly fitted and tuned Audibels , I am needing a cochlear implant. The audiology test done yesterday by specialty audiologist at Oregon Clinic found that was way off the mark regarding my audiogram. This may have contributed to my advanced decline of hearing. Audible does not work with cochlear implant as I will need a "Cadillac" of hearing for my left ear that correspond to cochlear implant in my right ear. And all the while I am having to pay $7000 for Audibel hearing that don't match my hearing needs or my audiogram . Also they do not use Hear Ear which is the gold standard for matching your audiogram to your hearing aides and eliminating several trips to the office to have hearing aides constantly retuned. After the last visit, I realized the technician left my aids on the standard all around hearing program. I went back in and said that I need the program changed to the music program which is better for me. The technician looked me in the eye and said, "We called Resound and they told us this cannot be done." My aids are 2 years old and they have ALWAYS been set to the music program as the default program for me. My prior dealer had no difficulty with the programming. I left and called Resound. I was told that it is a very simple program issue to change the settings. They gave me a list of other dealers. I went to one and it took the Audiologist about 5 minutes to change the channels back to the original settings.
