Don't bother wasting your time at this clinic. It took us one hour to see the doctor for my daughter's wellness appointment. 35 minutes waiting in the waiting area because the receptionist did not check us in. (Despite telling me that I'm all checked in) 4-5 families came after we arrived, yet got to see their doctor before we were called. I thought that perhaps they accidentally double booked or there was an emergency going on in the back. Nope, it was none of those reasons!! When our name was called I expressed my frustration to the nurse who was really rude back despite it being their staff's fault for the error. Note to that nurse: if it's your clinic's fault, you need to learn to shut your mouth and accept responsibility!! The nurse finally explained that no one checked us in!!! I couldn't believe this!! I arrived early because I respected their time, but they lack of respect for my time. On top of that, I had a conference call that I needed to join, but this error caused me to miss work. Is it fair that I was unable to do my job because they can't do their job??? I give them 1 star, and this is only because Dr. Long is nice and we have been going to her for 8 years. This will be the last time our family goes to the happy valley clinic. Their staff is unprofessional and ignorant. They are unable to do their job and I really hope Dr. Shah reads this posting and decides to either retrain the support staff or consider hiring professional employees. To the receptionist that didn't check me in... sorry, there's no excuse. We were the ONLY family in the room. Do your damn job and stop surfing the internet and gossiping with other employees!! My child has been going here for years, Dr Blair is wonderful. Unfortunately the office staff/billing in this experience has been horrendous. My child needed a sports physical to be able to try out and participate in a school activity. We had a small window between jobs so we had to get government insurance. They completely refused my child care during that time, we had multiple conversations with Oregon pediatrics as what we needed was a pressing matter, received poor information multiple times. We were told we didn't need it since she had been seen within 2yrs, incorrect, then we waited weeks until we had secured insurance that they took again, and the morning of this long awaited appointment they cancelled the appointment, (after my child had already missed school.) due to the government insurance still showing up on their end even though we had already cancelled it. Absolutely wrong on so many levels. The staff when addressing this issue were VERY unprofessional, adding insult to injury we were called a liar. Unbelievable, we had been loyal to them for YEARS, and to be treated this way is just wild. read more

I'm really happy with our care at Oregon Pediatrics in Happy Valley! My baby is 2 months old now and we've had about 4 appointments, with 2 different doctors, and were pleased with each visit! The office is nice, clean and quiet. It's conveniently located and easy to get to from my house and work. We regularly see Dr. Heather Long and she has been wonderful so far! She answers all my questions with confidence and makes me feel better about the million things I want to know. She's gentle, knowledgable and just overall great. :) When she was out of the office we saw Dr. Brian Palato and were equally as pleased! He was funny, quick and very informative. Plus the front desk staff are all super nice and the medical assistants seem spot on. Way to go Oregon pediatrics! So, again, so far our experience has been wonderful and we are happy we found a small, quiet pediatricians office to call our own! read more

This is the Pediatric office where our son's doctor is. Dr de Give is excellent and very good with our infant. The nursing staff is always super friendly and the facility is nice. Location is in the New Seasons lot in the corner by the cafe. read more

Rude billing department. Some staff are nice, but specifically one employee I don't remember her name begins with a letter S I believe is extremely rude, not mention making me feel uncomfortable and sh*tty because I can't make a payment on time when I'm low on funds. Doctors are nice, staff is nice. But I dread calling to make a payment on my bill if I have to answer to this particular employee who always sounds rude. It would be great if this company offered an online version to make payments on so you don't have to deal with situations like this. It's bad enough for some of us parents who are struggling financially, we don't need to feel bad trying to make arrangements on a bill that a staff doesn't have to pay for. read more

Dr. Heather Long is one of the easiest doctors to work with. Always answers all of our questions. Never feel rushed during the appointments and provides through well baby checkups. Does no push the modern vaccine schedule and allows for us to do what we feel is best. Dr. Long appears to be knowledgeable and experienced with providing our children with care. She performed our son's circumcision without any issues. The bills through our BCBS insurance are always as estimated. Preventive checkups and vaccines have always been fully covered through insurance with no surprises. Just wish she could be our adult primary care as well. (5 stars for Dr. Heather Long) Note: Some of the office staff, front desk, and billing show inexperience or lack of personal skills. This is something Oregon Pediatrics should improve on and does appear to be a known issue within the office. (3.5 stars for the office staff) read more

I have to say that our patient experience with Oregon Pediatrics, Happy Valley has been among the worse we've had with a healthcare provider. We recently moved from NE Portland where we had a Pediatrician and clinical staff that we absolutely loved. In an effort to save ourselves a drive across town, we decided to take our twins to OP Happy Valley, because the clinic is a 5 minute walk from our house. We've visited this office three times over the last year for wellness checks and vaccinations. Each time we had a different Pediatrician and when we questioned why, we were told our previous Pediatrician simply left the practice. No further explanation was offered. Despite an apparent revolving door of Pediatricians, and being assigned doctors that know nothing about our children's medical history (other than reviewing our charts for 30 seconds during our visit), our experience with the doctors has been just okay. They provide answers to our questions as needed and seem friendly enough. The real problem with OP Happy Valley resides with the nurses and front desk staff. Simply put, they are rude and unprofessional. It's very clear the reception staff DO NOT love their jobs and don't really want to be there - at least that's how it comes across to patients. There's no "hello" when you walk in the door, they don't acknowledge our children either. This is a basic tenet of customer service. When we changed insurance providers, they were obviously put off by the need to enter new information in their system at the time of our appointment. We had a second flu shot appt. scheduled and received a phone call 20 mins. prior to our appointment telling us our kids didn't actually need the second flu shot since they had it last year - this was after we received an automated phone call confirming our appointment the day before. And, this new advice doesn't seem right to us since the flu strain varies from year to year. Unfortunately, the nursing staff resides at the same level of professionalism as their reception counterparts. During our last wellness appointment, we asked that our kids receive their set of vaccinations at the same time to minimize the fear and anxiety that comes with one child seeing the other in hysterics after getting poked three times. This seemed completely foreign to them when we asked for it. Having one nurse administer shots to each kid at the same time was standard practice at our NE clinic. In fact one nurse at OP commented she "..really didn't have the time for this.." when she was asked to assist the other nurse. On another visit, the nurse actually brought the incorrect vaccination into the exam room, made her error known to us and laughed about it. Not a confidence inspiring moment given all the other issues. I'm not usually one to flame broil businesses on Yelp, but when it comes to the health and wellbeing of my children and others, I will advocate passionately. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a certain level of medical professionalism. Nurses shouldn't be nurses if it's just a job to them. With Oregon Pediatrics, Happy Valley we don't have faith our children are getting the best care possible and will not be patients at that clinic moving forward. We would rather make the 30 minute drive across town to see our preferred Pediatrician, than walk 5 minutes to Oregon Pediatrics, Happy Valley. read more

During my pregnancy I was told to find a pediatrician for my soon to arrive baby. I called Oregon Pediatrics to get set up, but I was told I had to complete all that after I gave birth. After giving birth in the hospital I was placed on bed rest for a few days and before getting released I had to schedule my daughters first appointment, I called Oregon pediatric and gave them all the information I had except for my Insurance card number (since I didn't have it at hand) but I told them I would bring it during my daughters first appointment the next day. Still recovering after a hard labor we made it to our first appt and the front desk lady welcomed us by telling me that her staff had to work extra hard getting my insurance information & it required a lot of there time doing so... Ummm ok.. I told you I would give it to you during our first visit.. Our second appointment didn't go that well either, after my daughter got checked out & everything was fine according to what we were told, driving back home they called us asking if we can bring "him" back because they forgot to do "his" blood work.. Yup that's right they couldn't even get the gender right.. I told them I'm not driving back when we just got home. After the third appointment which was also a whole different problem we decided to leave and find a place that was more focused on our daughter health & wellness rather than their pockets filled with money. read more

This clinic partners with Clackamas Pediatrics has a base of Doctors that you can choose from for your kids, and every single one of them are outstanding! I feel so confident having my kids in their care. Dr. Mooney is the best Pediatric Dr I have had in the last 8 years. You will not be dissapointed. Do not go to Oregon Pediatrics in Happy Valley! They charged $48 for a flu vaccine and another $20 to administer it. Most places provide that for a mere $20. The routine annual physical for my child cost another $212. Our previous provider only charged $150. Talk about price gouging! read more
