We're having issues with behavioral support that has been causing us a ton of stress for so long, such that it finally reached a breaking point where we needed to get medical care. I was communicating with the team via the web app, and after responding to the questionnaires they gave us, I was left holding the bag. Not wanting to be rude despite the stress, I waited and then followed up. They said, oh sorry, we'll get back to you within the week. 13 days later I have to follow up again, and they're like, yep got it, please book an appointment. So we book an appointment for 3 weeks out or whatever, go in and it's nice and useful and so on, and we talk about having a brief call in the next week or so about potentially getting a prescription. We pay (...we're out-of-pocket) and then a few days later I get a bill for an additional amount. This happened a year ago too -- they charge me the full amount, then I get a bill later. I had to call and they were like, "Whoops, yep, that's a mistake" and removed it, but it's annoying... And it appears to be happening again. Anyway after a few days we decide we want the prescription and they say, actually, you gotta book us again. But don't worry, you can do a virtual meeting. The website says the next appt is 3-4 weeks out, and she's like, oh try calling in. So I call in and they're like, don't worry, if it's virtual we can actually get you in in a mere 2.5 weeks! So now we're like a month into waiting for this thing. Have the virtual appointment, get the prescription. She says she's sending it right over. A few hours later, contact the pharmacy and they say they don't have it. Call again and remind them. This morning, the prescription is in with an advisory not to start taking it until mid-May (a month away) for some reason. Go to pick it up and they say, actually, because of the advisory, they're not going to give it to us. So I get to call back and they're like, ohhh yeah, sorry, another mistake. I like them, and I want to be able to use them, but it's just one small annoyance after another. I've never had this experience before, and I am very seriously considering switching providers.

Let me first say that Dr. J (Dr. J Rosenbloom) is top notch. He clearly cares about the kids, and…read moreinforms the parents. He speaks like a parent to me, not a doctor who knows a whole lot more than me. Anytime I have brought him a concern, he never says or implies "that's a stupid question" or demeans me for asking it. He takes the time to really engage and explain everything. To me, that means the world because he cares for the two most important people in my world. I have met several of the nurses and they are always a pleasure to work with. I was actually really warmed by speaking to the triage nurse over the phone because she was SO kind, reassuring and answered EVERY question I had when I called in. When you're worried about your kiddo, THAT is exactly the kind of reassurance you need. I also really liked the emergency docs we have seen the two times we came in on emergent visits and didn't get to see Dr. J. I don't recall the names of the doctors we saw, but they were both female and both excellent. I appreciate that the medical staff is top notch. The staff in administration, is another story. I have never dealt with being billed for my "patient responsibility" and not having the front ask if I want to pay my balance when I check out; but getting a "collection letter." I got a statement requesting payment and 2 days later got a past due letter. I was less than pleased about that. They also seem to be a bit clueless on how to speak to people on the phone when they call in to schedule. If they could get the administration and billing staff to get it together and for the love of all things good, be professional to parents calling in, I could give them 5 stars. But the admin right now is just not the same level of excellence that the medical staff is.

Find the Doctor to care for your sick child and ensure his/her well being. Oh. Is that all? How in the heck do I ever start to do that? In my case it started with talking with friends and co-workers who have children. As I hunted the elusive prey one name popped up several times, Dr. Kathleen Hutchinson and the folks at Evergreen Pediatrics. It took one phone call and arrange for her to be our Tax Deduction's Doctor. After he came flopping out of The Wife the people at Evergreen were all over making sure he was healthy (unfortunately they couldn't do much about the quaking mass of paranoia that was at the time his new Father). Not just Dr. Hutchinson, but several of the Doctors were involved in his first couple of days on the planet. Since then, through colds, ear infections, sinus infections and one particularly scary incident to us as new parents it's been all Dr. Hutchinson and her nurse, Dorothy. I couldn't say enough about them or recommend them highly enough. Even if you call the emergency number late, she calls fast enough to make your head spin and follows up the next day if you have to see another Doctor. So next time you find yourself knocked up in the 'Couve and need a good Doctor might I suggest this one?

After a couple visits, I quickly realized that she possesses several qualities that set her apart from the average doctor. First of all, Dr. Pratt thinks outside the box and uses her intuition to gather all the pieces of the puzzle. She is open-minded and is willing to explore new possibilities even if it isn't within her usual scope of practice. Dr. Pratt does an excellent job at presenting the options available to her patients while still allowing them to made their own decision. Most importantly, her desire to help people is clearly the driving passion behind her work. I would highly recommend Dr. Pratt.

I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kat to all of my friends, and all of you!
