The man who called me to schedule two MRIs could not have been more disrespectful - this is the second time I've had an issue with staff, the other issue being a separate HIPAA violation years ago. This man who called me to get me scheduled was condescending, rude, and when I explained I was having issues with memory / cognition (hence me needing an MRI on my brain) he continued to belittle me when I had to ask him a second time for instructions on how to arrive to a facility I'd never been at. People like this have NO BUSINESS in healthcare! This organization is a joke and they should be ashamed of themselves. The people of Oregon deserve so much better than this, you'd get better healthcare in most third world countries than you do in Oregon - at least youre treated with a shred of dignity while dealing with the most frightening medical issues of your life! read more

Melissa, the phlebotomist, is amazing--friendly, kind, and very understanding of patients' needs. She truly sympathizes with each situation and listens to her patients' voices, which is extremely important. She is incredibly caring and compassionate, which is exactly what healthcare should be about. We need more people like her. I would give less than 1 star if possible. First, of course, the location is terrible and the parking is difficult. When I finally got into the office I was confronted with a touch screen kiosk for a sign-in. As often happens with these touch screens, it did not acknowledge my touch. I tapped on various boxes, including the Restart, but it would not take my name. Second screen, same thing. If you have low galvanic energy in your fingers this is common. Then I went to the window where there was a live human. This did not help, however. Not only did she refuse to take my name, she was rude and condescending. She assumed that the touch screen could not possibly be at fault and that I must not know how to use it and began treating me like a dim-wtted child who must be computer-illiterate. She told me she couldn't do anything without my name in the kiosk. I told her it would not work with my fingers. Repeat. Repeat. I finally left without the imaging screening that I wasted my morning for. I am sure the supercilious clerk behind the counter figured she won the encounter when I finally decided that I was wasting my time, that there would be no appointment if the screen did not work for me and there was apparently no work-around. My assumption would be that if this place cannot even manage checking a patient in without rudeness and condescension one could not hope to fare any better after that point. The bare minimum (pun not really intended) I expect in a medical situation is that I will be treated with respect. You cannot hope for that here. read more

I've recently had MRIs and a CT scan here and they were great experiences! Very fast! The staff were kind and helpful. They answered my questions and more. They went over the procedures in detail. They reassured me about the options to make it more comfortable and safety measures in place. I had a prior MRI through a different organization - a bad experience - and they even explained how that one *should* have gone. I didn't realize how anxious the other MRI had made me until they so successfully calmed me down. A big thank you to their staff!! read more

Oregon Imaging Center acts like they are the only company in town. The appointment schedulers can't be bothered to look at your file but insist on asking incredibly redundant questions because they say it is easier for them. When they do call, it is not uncommon to be put on hold for extended lengths of time. However, the actual techs performing the scans etc have been great. The difference between how I am treated in the office versus the schedulers made me think they were hired vendors but it seems that they do work for OIC. read more

They asked me to pay for a procedure because according to them my "Insurance would most likely not pay". I paid and asked to have it submitted to my insurance anyway. Months have gone by and when I called my instance company they told me they should NEVER have asked me to pay for the procedure without first submitting to my insurance. Without a doubt the absolute worst clinic for x-rays, etc. in Eugene, Oregon. I really wanted this to be a positive review. They have finally acknowledged that there are wheelchair users in the city, and they have finally procured a portable patient lift after years of asking. The current bummer with them is that they will not give you your own x-rays not even a Xerox copy. You have to go through a rather long and involved process, which requires a Windows PC computer with a CD player. Slocum has its foibles but at least they give you a copy of your x-ray. The x-ray technicians at Oregon Imaging are kind, courteous, and personable. read more

They're always so quick to get you in and out for most procedures. I had a Dexa scan and it took me longer to get dressed than it did for the scan! Also have my mammograms there. Same deal, in and out. I've had MRI's at OIC as well. Takes longer, as expected. The tech was calming, knowing the procedure freaks me out! Had to take a little Valium for that one. My Doc prescribes it for me when I have these kinds of appointments. I'm a "woman of a certain age" so I see Docs more than young'uns. Gotta calm down for some of them. read more

Had a CT scan performed in 2020. They missed a chondrosarcoma that was plainly visible. In 2023, I noticed a small lump in my chest and reported it to my PCP. He forwarded me to Oregon Imaging Riverbend for an ultrasound, which was then followed 2 weeks later by a needle biopsy. Referred to a general surgeon who did nothing other than order a CT scan for a month, then said I needed to talk to a thoracic surgeon. I insisted on an oncology consult, who then forwarded me to OHSU, who took the thing seriously. In the meantime, the sarcoma has grown, necessitating removal of several ribs and a fair amount of chest tissue, following by plastic surgery for reconstruction. Had the people in 2020 been on the ball, the whole thing could have been handled easily. Even after diagnosing, being bounced around Peace Health for six months has been a nightmare. My bottom line is not to trust these people and get a second opinion. It could mean the difference between life and death. read more

I was in here last week with my mother for an x-ray/scan. They have you sign in on a sheet, sit down and wait to be called to actually check in. Seems a little strange at first, but I would presume it's so there's not a line up clogging up the entryway/door. The staff seemed super friendly and helpful. I went back with mom while she changed and helped her put stuff away in a locker. She originally asked me to go back with her while they did the scan. They don't allow this unless she needed help in some way. They were upfront about this, but in a good way. Like, if she actually needed help, speak up and they would accommodate it, but if not, these are their rules. Not a big deal. They said it would be about an hour and a half, if I had anything else to do. Perfect. When we checked in, they explained all the paperwork, what to do with it when we were done filling it out, etc, and they confirmed all of her information. Again, super sweet, helpful, and understanding. The waiting area is actually quite large and spacious. There's no feeling cramped. It's easy to get to and get out. They have Wi-Fi available, which my phone automatically picked up on and I was notified it was an option. She had her scan, came out, checked out, we had our parking validated, and off we went. Seemed like a pretty painless visit in terms of a doctors office. It's the second time she's been there, and will be coming back to again. I like that they are helpful and understanding if someone needs help, but upfront about their rules as well. They were nothing but great to mom and me. I would definitely recommend it. read more

About a year ago, I started having very strange symptoms. Severe debilitating vertigo, and I could hear my heartbeat as well as I couldn't drive or see straight. 2 MRIs later, I was misdiagnosed with a benign brain tumor. Only when my insurance Kaiser sent me to Salem for one MRI is where they found canal dehiscence in my right ear. I'm missing a bone in my inner ear. My doctor pretty much told me Oregon Imaging needs to update their MRI machines. Kinda damn scary! My surgery is this March, but it took forever to get a correct diagnosis! read more

I was impressed by the tech who finally came and did my mamogram. She was fast and efficient and a good communicator. I was NOT impressed by the Massive HIPAA violation of being asked to confirm my name and date of birth, loudly enough to be heard at 6 feet. That made me ask for a "comment card" and tell them that this was a HIPAA violation of significant proportion. The staff were completely uninterested in this information. I asked for a call back. That didn't happen. I'd say the tech was 5 star, front office staff one star, somewhat easy to understand parking gets 3 stars. Overall = 3. But watch yourself. read more

I went to get another X-ray, but chose this location because of the time of the day. I didn't want to get stuck on Beltline. I found parking right away, and close to the door which was great because my back was killing me. It seems like there is more staff here. I could be wrong. I was greeted promptly, just like the other place, and taken back really fast. I was in, and out in no time at all. Staff was very kind. I can't say which place I would recommend more. I would just go to which ever one is more convenient to you. read more

NOPE! They are not focused on their customers. They are focused on their procedure only which sucked. This was my first impression being a NEW customer. It started with me calling to set up my appointment. They couldn't find my doctor in their archaic system. I had to contact my Portland doctor because they are required to have this info before I could be so lucky to get an appointment with them. I also had to give them the last imaging center I went to as well before I could get an appointment here. I should be getting paid for doing their work. Never had to do this anywhere else. I should have taken that as a warning. Anyway, I let that roll off my back only to get to the blessed appointment and be told that my insurance card was invalid. Unbelievable! Sorry she said but our insurance team checked two websites and your insurance is no longer valid. (I've been on this insurance for decades). I was so livid I said screw this, cancel my appointment. However we just drove 2 hours to get here and it's something I needed. I changed my mind and went back up to the desk and gave my insurance card to her and asked her to call the number on the back and they would have the info they need. She said, oh no, you have to do that yourself. Shocked right? I called and my insurance told me that the provider had to contact them. I went back up and told her this. What does she do? She turns around and gives me the number for their insurance team so I could instruct them. Once again, doing their work. Where's my damn paycheck? They are rude, disrespectful and have no idea how to treat customers. This is a place that requires a little hand holding but no hand was held out. Folks that come here can be told that they may have cancer. But wait, it gets worse. I went in for my imaging only to be around a person with a cold shoulder with not even a sense of humor, or decent customer service. I asked if I could see the year before images to compare the current ones on the screen. She didn't have that. I've always been able to do that at other imaging centers. One more thing, they also won't send the letter telling you what they found but they send it to your doctor. Once again, archaic. They are not the only game in town and I'm another one that won't be going back. read more

It was such a pleasure to work with such a dedicated, organized and pleasant group of people! From my checkin until I was out the door it was a snap! Checkin was quick w/electronic checkin after which I was greeted by friendly and helpful staff. They are definitely an asset to their company! I had an MRI on a painful shoulder. The techs were so careful to get my shoulder in the position it needed to be in with as little pain as possible. I've had 5 MRIs in the last 6 weeks so I think I'm kind of an expert (and a "bad lucky" person!!). My biggest complaint has been that w/such a loud machine (every MRI I've been in is super loud!), I can't hear what they say to me through the headphones. During my Oregon Imaging MRI, wearing the headphones they provide, I could hear everything said to me. Everything went so quickly & smoothly! Be sure to get your parking ticket validated!! read more

Called to schedule an appointment per a directive from OIC. Was on hold for maybe 5-10 minutes which was not a problem. Someone answered the phone to tell me that their schedulers were not available to schedule my appointment. Why even answer the phone if no one is available to schedule the appointment? Why not just leave me on hold? They did offer to call me back but I'd rather stay on hold than begin playing phone tag. Accessibility is an issue as it is not easy to schedule with them. And, it appears that I am not alone in thinking that scheduling is an area for them to work on. read more

I had a mammogram appointment scheduled here for a few weeks. After circling around and around in their large parking lot, which obviously is NOT large enough, I finally found a spot on level 2. My check-in time was 2:15 for a 2:30 appointment. I arrived in front of the receptionist at 2:05 only to be informed by her that I had no appointment. Say what????? Well apparently they knew they were going to be short staffed on this day, 6/6/19, and called me on 5/31/19 to reschedule. I said I did not receive that information. I checked my phone and yes, I did receive a call from them on 5/31 and a 3 second voicemail of SILENCE! I assumed it was a robo-call, as my phone said "unknown caller" and then one of those typical "robot didn't disconnect soon enough" voicemails. I was upset. I had canceled a trip to see my grand daughter perform in a play to come to this appointment, and traveled a half hour to get to it. I was then told to go sit by a phone in the waiting room and wait for scheduling to call me. After about 10 minutes it rang. I was told they might could squeeze me in, in about an hour and a half. I argued a bit more, and was then told that MAYBE they could squeeze me in SOMETIME that day. Well gee, aren't you considerate! Thanks, but no thanks!!! I left, and hope I NEVER have to go back there again for any procedure because they do NOT have their $h1t together. I do NOT recommend 1200 Hilyard, suite 330, or their Riverbend location. Look elsewhere for professionals because I doubt their existence at Oregon Imaging. read more

I have been here several times and have had a positive experience with the staff every time and the equipment appears to be newer and high quality. Wife has cancer, we go to a TON of appts and blood draws etc. OIC is THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Staff had to poke her 6 freaking times and blamed her... um no, no other medical place ever has a problem. They employ NO NURSING STAFF. and dont tell you unless you ask specifically. MRI MACHINE is small, staff has no idea how to handle complex patients. They also told us we would have to pay up front to schedule it before the timeline they deemed even though that was after our main appt that we needed the scan done for. Cuz it was THEIR POLICY. They were over an hour late and it was a Sunday and hardly any pt here. This isnt a one time problem. Another time they refused to even schedule us, told us we needed to call insurance to get a prior auth. Which is their job. Another time they didnt bother telling us there was a fasting guideline until we were in the waiting room and sent us home. It is a 100 mile round trip. Will NEVER use this company again. Use any other business other than this one. What a joke. Would give zero stars or negative if I could. read more

I was scheduled to come in and get a MRI and I can't lie and say that I wasn't totally nervous and anxious about my appointment. Being inside a tube for 30 minutes with loud thumping sounds right above your head isn't how I'd like to spend my afternoon but I had to get it over with. I parked in the parking structure and made my way into the office to fill out paperwork. The women were friendly but I was taken back when I had to sign something saying that if my insurance didn't pay for my MRI I would be responsible. I asked if there were any notes in my file saying if the insurance was covering it because my doctor said it would. She said she had no idea and I would have to talk to my insurance. I was nervous because I didn't want to be mistaken and have to pay $3,000 out of pocket but there was nothing they could do. I couldn't wait to call my doctor or insurance because I would miss my appointment slot. I just signed the papers and took a chance (luckily it all worked out) but next time I'll definitely call my insurance and make sure, not just take my doctor's word for it. The woman who walked me through all of the steps from the changing room to the MRI room was nice and very helpful. Once I was on the table the technician could tell I was nervous and I explained my slight Claustrophobia to them. They gave me a button I could push if I ever got overwhelmed and they could take me out of the tube. I was pleased to learn their tube is actually a few inches bigger than most. They offered me a mirror that looks out behind you out a window but I chose the eye mask. They give you headphones and play any music you ask for. They check on you by talking through a speaker which I appreciated. In 30 minutes I was done and so happy to be out of there. I even had to do a color contrast halfway through and get an IV in my arm but the technician did a great job with that as well. I really appreciated their awareness to my nervousness, patience and thoroughly answering my questions and taking the time to walk me through everything. I hope I never need another MRI but if I do I know I'll be in good hands. read more

I had a M.R.I scheduled at 7 pm I checked in about 10 till 7 they took me back right away got in there gown and waited for a hour even had a person come in after I did and went for his exam and when I went up front to ask what up she said I don't know let's find out so we went back there and she said they was running a little late lie she just lied to right to my face in fact the guy that came in after me got my spot this place sucks read more

If you're a walk-in for an x-ray, then they seem to get you in and out within an hour. However, if you want to schedule an appointment, that seems to be a whole other deal. I was physically in the office when I was discussing the need to schedule a future appointment. Rather than just allow me to make it in person at the time, I was told that I would have to call their office later to arrange the appointment. So I called after leaving their office to schedule the appointment. I was stuck in in the phone queue for a while, but the system gave me the option of having someone call me back to schedule the appointment. I was called back later that day and was told that they needed more information from my doctor and that someone will call me to schedule the appointment. Nope. Instead, I received an automated phone message from Oregon Imaging Centers the following day telling me to call them to schedule an appointment. Umm... a REAL person was supposed to call me to schedule it. So I called back again to make the appointment, and was stuck in their phone line for 10+ minutes. Finally someone picks up to transfer me to a scheduler, puts me back on hold, and then comes back to say that the scheduler is on the phone. She gave me the option to have one of them call me back. Then, once someone did finally call me, the woman clearly had no idea what she was scheduling me for until after she had me on the phone (a quick read before calling would have saved us both some time). I really hope that I won't need another appointment with Oregon Imaging again any time soon. I can't believe how difficult it is just trying to schedule an appointment. Not at all pleased with their process or procedures. Very frustrating. Outside of the scheduling CF, their x-ray techs are professional, polite, and friendly. read more

If you enjoy receiving a blank stare when you ask the staff a question, this is the place for you. Upon advising the staff I wanted to go back with my fiance I was told only patients are allowed in the patient waiting area. Of course this was after she was done staring at me as though attempting telekinesis when I asked the question. So I take a seat and text my fiance to let her know I'm not allowed back into the forbidden zone. God knows what I might do in a tiny little wating room. Oh the possibilities. .. Anyway, she comes out of the room with a look of astonishment and asks the receptionist the same question, "he can't go back? " "Only patients can go back but you can wait in the lobby. " Ok fine, a rule I can't find a way to validate but whatever. My fiance went on tell me that her appointment is actually an hour after they told her it was. Additionally, they provided her the incorrect time frame for wich she was to fast. Oregon Imaging, you are seriously striking out. By now we are sitting in the front lobby, minding or business. The other receptionist, in all of her wisdom decides it would be a good time to instruct us to sit around the corner. Apparently for some reason we could not sit out front with the rest of the patrons of this facility. Why is that exactly? What the fuck is wrong with you people? It would do you good to attend some serious customer service seminars and learn how to communicate without being offensive. read more

Even radiologists should not be permitted to lie to a patient . I'm in the kind of pain you would not allow a dog to endure so my vulnerability is exquisite . The diagnosis for me at this stage can only be discerned if the mri machine is set to take T-2 PLUS T-1 so they can be compared for what is called the crescent sign , plus a fat suppression series . Knowing this and the great expense I ask with great specificity before , both my pcp and this radiologist agreed . So it was with great outrage to discover they had not only omitted crucial parts they concealed the fact with some artfully contrived language in the report i was shown [ different than my doctor's copy !!!] . Then for me to notice the deception then have to jump up and down like a crazy person and then only at great taxpayer expense they do the mri AGAIN with another essential omition after the radiologist looks me right in the eye and lies to me about how the machine is set , with another concealment attempt . The effort these people have gone to obviscate what can be known is criminal [ felony] . If you have any choice dont go here , and if you are a lawyer these people are covering up harm they caused or made worse when i was in their hospital i demanded no steroids and they surreptitiously fed me exactly that . I signed a consent to treat not a consent to deceive and harm . People if you have hip pain do not take steroids , it can make it SO MUCH WORSE . Called bone marrow edema and avascular necrosis . The stage i have can be treated with parentarel iliprost so i may not have to go on to total hip replacements . But these people are acting the fools and at OUR expense , It may be costing me my life , so if you are one of the two radiologists responsible , you may play this for the doctors benefit , but know this , i have no future so conflict with me is likely to be ugly and brief and the damage to your reputation will be dramatic and personal . I dont have much time and my suicide will be spectacular and will have your brand on it by name . As a man you lied to me about what is important , twice . You didnt have to agree with me BUT YOU DID . That makes a contract you broke and now i pay perhaps an ultimate price . shame read more
