Our move was a fairly big one - from Fort Lauderdale to Daytona Beach. It was a very long day. And our moving team were outstanding from start to finish! Manuel, William, and Alvaro were all extremely careful and meticulous in how they handled our possessions. They didn't rush, but took their time to make sure everything was packed and loaded properly. As a result, not a single thing was damaged - amazing for a move as big and long as ours. And they were friendly, polite, and professional - even late that night when they must've been exhausted. When a family member died, they helped move his belongings from his assisted living and his storage unit sorting what gets shipped to his daughter in Nevada, what gets donated, what gets trashed. Another FANTASTIC job by Orellana Moving! I recommended them to my ELDERLY stepmom. They went over and above! They packed her entire 3 bedroom apartment in one day, moved her out of a Condo then into another Condo and unpacked. Everything was perfect! They were friendly, kind, trustworthy and efficient. Everything was well packed and nothing damaged. When they unpacked, they even made her bed in the new place, who does that? This is a family owned business, insured! Orellana is great! I have used them twice in the past few years - first to move my bedroom to my new apartment, and then to move all the furniture in our apartment to our new house. All my moves have been within a few mile radius, but they charge by hour so I think distance is covered through that. They do a great job of wrapping all the furniture pieces to make sure that nothing gets dirty or damaged. They will even take pieces apart and put them back together if needed (I was surprised by how quickly they reassembled my bed!). They also have these boxes with metal bars so that you can take the clothes hanging in your closet and keep them hanging during the move. There are a few items that they didn't move, just because they were small/delicate so they didn't want to risk them breaking in transit, which I could appreciate. The only issue with Orellana is I feel like very few of them speak English, especially the woman who makes the appointments. The first time I used them she only wanted to communicate via text and would barely say anything until I said something in Spanish. This last time was a bit easier, although when I first called she did transfer me to someone who spoke English. It was fine for me since I speak Spanish, but something to be aware of if you don't! About 3 months ago I hired Orellana Moving for my move. This is the third time I have used them in 22 years and I was a satisfied customer. I had them as a serious, professional, responsible and careful company. At the end of May 2022 I hired them again to move. Unfortunately on this occasion, the workers accidentally broke a 65-inch Samsung curve tv with only 3 years of use and they did not take responsibility. Due to this damage, the cost of moving practically doubled. I immediately reported it to María and she basically ignored me. I'm afraid they didn't even attempt to get their insurance to cover it, probably shielding the cost of their premium. I think they would have been fair if they had offered me a courtesy reimbursement amount that would also have consolidated the image I had of the company. read more

Maria's company was referred to me by a friend and she was wonderful person and very nice. Very asked me to take video and pics of condo. I sent her 500 deposit like she asked and price was 2700 and I didn't even argue cause she was very nice but 2700 to move a one bedroom condo with more clothes then furniture sounds a little high after getting a cheaper price but didn't like reviews of other company after researching. Maria's team showed up and started and let me tell you they were great with wrapping everything. I have to say. My other half was sleeping cause she was up all night preparing so she wanted to get some extra sleep. After she got up she came out and went over things about the move and ect. Maria and her talked and things went fine , then maria left and texted me and and said I will have to pay another 500 for material . So that would Be 3200 total. That is a high price and I just questioned it. Believe she got upset and used a poor excuse that her team was being yelled at by other half . Not sure where that came from when I hired one of my own guys to be with them and her heard nothing out of line . She decided to text me day before and cancelled my move after things were set up. Very poor decision on her behalf. Very bad customer service, but good workers. I brought it Greek the Mover and they came in wrapped two big screen TVs and gave me wardrobe boxes and other material and the total they charged me was 1100.00 Wow big difference between 3200 and 1100.00 Even though maria's team pack 7 wardrobe boxes and 7 kitchen large boxes and wrapped two mirrors she is way to much money . Again very nice person but a business owner needs to be more stronger and just don't make a decision to cancel cause her feelings are hurt. Do severs quit when a customers yell at them about the food being bad! No! Very unhappy with her service . For me to sit and waste my time typing this will show that it was wrong !!! I sent a detailed request to Maria on 9/19 requesting a quote on a upcoming move. "I have a family room, kitchen, dining room and garage on the first floor. I have 3 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. It is a single staircase to the second floor with direct access to a double front door. I would like to know if you wrap all the large pieces of furniture with quilting; tape doors and sliders; and disassemble/reassemble the beds etc. Is there an extra charge for the single stairs in the house to load from? Is there an additional charge for garage storage items such as boxes? Do you charge for the tape or wrappings? Is there extra gas or mileages charges? How far in advance do you need a reservation for this type of move? Would I need to list any heavy items, oversized or delicate items to you in advance? " I did not hear anything back so I resent the email a week later on 9/26. I received this in response to my request for a quote: "Hello Michele. Thank you for contact me. Please give a couple for the estimate. Thanks. María Orellana" A bit confused I decided to send the same request for a quote from above to Milton R. Most of the guys worked very hard but we paid for the extra guy to help with the move and two were in the condo while the other two waited doing NOTHING downstairs. Then after we were quoted one price over the phone in the end of the move we paid Double!!!!!!!!! Not even $100 more we had to pay $400 more!!!!!!! Things were not broken or lost, but I would have them come and give me an accurate written quote before using them. read more
