I had the most wonderful birthday dinner at Ciao Bella at the Organic Farmer's Table. This is a lovely Italian restaurant that doesn't have the fast pace of most American restaurants. We were able to sit and watch the outside scenery and have time to relax and enjoy our meal. The food was delicious, but what truly made the evening unforgettable was the kindness and care shown by the manager, Aurora. Because I have celiac disease, dining out can sometimes feel stressful, but Aurora went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, safe, and celebrated. She took the time to carefully help design my meal around my dietary needs, and she did it with such warmth and grace. What touched me most was that she even gluten-free baked muffins so I could have a special birthday dessert. That level of thoughtfulness is rare, and it meant so much to me. The service was exceptional. Aurora was extraordinarily helpful, a gracious host, and simply a wonderful person. Her care turned a birthday dinner into a truly special memory. A friend and I try to have a dinner together once a month and since she is vegan I always try to find a location that has some vegan options and Ciao Bella at Organic Farmer's Table checked all the boxes! The location is right off Main Street and there was a parking lot in the alley behind the restaurant. We were seated right away and given 3 options of water. We got a small table right in the window and could people watch while we ate. They gave us bread and olive dip for the table and it was good! I ordered the chicken and mushrooms in a cream sauce with roasted potatoes while she had the pasta and broccoli and everything was delicious and homemade! For dessert we enjoyed the strawberry shortcake made with their homemade biscuits and a cappuccino! It was cozy and quiet enough to talk while listening to Italian music playing. We came into town to attend the farmers market but it was rained out so we stopped here for breakfast. Cute, lay backed establishment, dog friendly. I am not a vegan guy but my wife insisted I give it a try. My breakfast wrap was both tasty and filling with bacon bits, avocado, egg and corn. Nice diversion on a rainy Saturday morning. Reminds me of one of the small trattorie that we went to in Florence. Casual vibe, classic trattoria décor, but hinting at the fine dining end of service and food. A lot of the overall feeling of our visit was due to our server Giulia. She was friendly, professional and efficient. We never felt rushed. We had the Rigatoni Boscaiola - Rigatoni, sweet peas, mushrooms, crumbles sausage, parmesan cream sauce. Mushrooms and peas not overcooked. Creamy parm sauce. Mild crumbled sausage. As this was a later dinner and we were not extremely hungry we also had the Harvest Caprese Salad as one of our dinners. - Arugula, mozzarella, balsamic glaze. All fresh. A lot of mozzarella. We decided to try the Limoncello Tiramisu - Nice variation on the traditional tiramisu. Lemon cookies soaked in Limoncello, layers of mascarpone, topped with lemon zest. The cookies were fresh and still had a crunch to them. Good job. Very tasty Although I guess the correct choice of after dinner drink would have been Limoncello given our dessert, I had to opt for one of my favorite amaros, Vecchio Amaro del Capo with a tasty double espresso. Thought I had reviewed the folks? We had gone there before a play at FST. The food was good and fresh and the menu appealed to my whole food plant based Nutritarian lifestyle of choices. As others have noted the cost and value were a bit steep and the service was a bit below average. It was "off season" but still it needs to be a little bit efficient?? We waited for everything. Far too expensive. $6.42 for a subpar 12oz latte. They charge $.35 to take a latte "to go" in a paper cup! The woman who worked there gave me some BS response saying that target and other grocery stores now charge for bags. But bags cost maybe five cents and this cafe's VERY basic to go cup cost me $.35?! The latte was nothing special and I did not enjoy the taste at all. I've had a lot of lattes in Sarasota and this is my least favorite. Can't speak to the food. This is a review for ciao Bella, which organic farm recently rebranded or changed ownership, idk. Unfortunately I cannot recommend. It was a pretty quiet morning but the service was slow. The steak and eggs tacos was not steak. Maybe it's brisket but it was some sort of shredded meat. I asked them to add bacon to the omelet and they left it on the side. The bacon was slightly undercooked. They don't season the eggs at all nor the potatoes. Just overall, low effort. read more

Nice restaurant situated in downtown Sarasota close to Whole Foods. It has both outdoor and indoor seating with a fresh clean vibe. Great selection of breakfast foods as well as bowls, sandwiches, and salads. Prices are on the higher side, but this is central downtown and serves higher end produce. We went to this restaurant for the second time this weekend. There were several things that were not good but I'll stick to the food. My husband and I both ordered lasagna. It looked unappetizing when it was brought to the table mostly because it had way too much cheese, so it looked like a sloppy mess. It was supposed to be bolonese with a bechamel sauce. Okay can deal with too much cheese because I realize I like less than the average person. Just move some aside. In addition, my plate had some pesto sauce on the end. I tried to cut a piece off the end and my fork would not go into the food. At first I thought I was trying to cut a bone. I turned the piece over and saw that it was burned beyond recognition and could not be cut, even if I had a steak knife. I did see, however, about four crumbs of ground beef in this bolognese and I did see about I sheet's worth of noodles. Needless to say, we went home hungry. It's a shame because we live downtown and would like to patronize this restaurant. I read more

This place is really great if you are looking for something delicious and healthy! So far I have been here for breakfast and dinner, each time the service was great, and very efficient. They have tables inside and outside. Restrooms are clean, there's usually street parking nearby or at a parking lot. Prices are decent, but some people might think that it's overpriced, but you have to understand that healthier options are usually more expensive but for the area I feel it's worth it. You can bring your pet and enjoy your meal outside. I enjoyed their breakfast wrap and ice matcha! For dinner I had their special which was so delicious!!! I must admit some of their food menu items can be intimidating but so far I have been very impressed and happy with the choices I have made.. lastly their desserts WOW definitely try the strawberry shortcake!! this place had good ambiance. I got a lemon loaf and it was overpriced and not good. It was hard and chewy and lacked flavor. It was like it was days old. The server and the busser gave me weird looks and did not seem happy to be there. The girl at the register was kind though, props to her! I would not go back as it was overpriced for the stalest and driest $6 lemon loaf. I know it is gluten and dairy free but it is possible to do that without making it so dry and chewy. INCREDIBLE! I am a major foodie and this place is incredible. Everything I have ordered has been delicious and the ingredients are SO FRESH. The service is great. My husband and I feel so at home here. It is cozy and charming. I cannot recommend this place enough!!!! The pizza is RIDIC! The flour is flown in from Italy which makes a huge difference. They would NEVER use canola oil. So many restaurants cut their olive oil with it. I go 2 times a week many weeks and I travel quite a distance to get there. It is SO worth it. Bravo! read more

Food was fresh but serving definitely out of sequence. Didn't Bwi g meals together. Breakfast portions relatively small with no sides. My kids are picky, the gnocchi Mac and Cheese is the only thing they wanted to try. My boy took a lick and pushed his plate away. Tiny had a bite but end up not liking it either. It was an expensive 19.00 plate of disappointment. The burger was real good and juicy cooked medium, the caramelized onion elevated this burger a notch. I didn't care about the lackluster presentation after one bite. My friend ordered the salad and she said it was excellent. Will def come back without kids and try other dishes in the menu. read more

Sometimes you don't have to go to Italy, Italy can come to you. This is our new favorite restaurant, by far. How much do we love eating here? We drive once a week, sometimes twice, from Naples, 1:45 minutes on I75 to be exact. Incredible organic Italian food with homemade pasta made from flour flown in from Italy. All the dishes are delicious and the homemade pastries are divine. And the espresso is the best I've had. I feel relaxed after having it. My wife and I have the best sense of well being every time we eat here. This place has a touch of magic to it, seriously. For those of you mindful of what you put in your body, let this be your go to. First win: this restaurant DOES NOT USE SEED OILS!!!!! (So exciting for me since I'm aware sees oils are absolutely poisonous and wreak havoc on the human body, despite not most people knowing about it). Second win: their food is delicious. Everything I ordered was wonderful. Got the beet/mushroom, plant based burger, which was beautifully made and cooked, covered in sprouts/microgreens, and sliced avo. I skipped their dijonaise (it's just not my thing) and got their chimichurri sauce to put on top. I'll definitely order that again. It was perfect. Then for dessert, a gluten free bread pudding with cinnamon cream sauce (I'm not vegan, nor gluten free but split this with a friend) and it was WOW. That plate was bone dry when we were done, and if I were a little less classy, I'd have licked the bowl ;) Our server Gia was an absolute doll. Go. I never leave reviews but felt I had to after the experience we had for the savor Sarasota dinner. The organic "farm to table" is a complete hoax. The lasagna tasted like a stouffers microwaveable meal and the burger was the most bland thing ever. Portions were super small and the dessert was not even edible. It was the worst $100 dinner ever spent. Highly advise against going here. There was one server and one cook. Appetizers came out super late and the server was overwhelmed with 3 tables.
