I concur with another reviewer that the place used to be great, but has really gone downhill of late. On the positive side, there's plenty of parking, the staff's knowledgeable and they have a wide selection. It's definitely a nice store. What bugs me about them is they're dodgy as hell when it comes to prices. Sure, they have discount days, but you'll need to remind the clerk of it BEFORE they ring up your purchase or else you'll be out of luck. I walked on a purchase because of this policy, but ended up shrugging it off. Later, I saw a great deal on their site, but learned their online prices don't always reflect the actual price. Bottom Line: This place used to be great and....well it's certainly not that anymore I've been coming here for years, and even submitted this places first review. It seems that things have changed quite a bit since then. Turnover: I rarely see the same person working in here twice. Conclude from that whatever you like. Management is probably no exception to this. Broken Cartridges: From time to time, the cartridges leak and I've even had one internally break. The first time I had a cartridge leak, it leaked big and actually ruined the battery. They replaced the cartridge which was cool of them. After that, it was more and more difficult. Not really sure what to do if I get home and the cartridge is leaking inside it's packaging - and not sure how this could be my fault. I had one completely come apart and was told to bring it in (mind you, they told me to bring it in - I didnt bring it in) so they could replace it. So I brought it in - as they requested - and was told that it was my fault and was just out that $60. Wrong Cartridges: When I was in there recently, they recommended a cartridge that required its own battery but didn't tell me anything about that. I wasn't even aware that there was a different style of cartridge available, so I went back with the receipt and just tried to do a straight exchange for a standard one. Well apparently, I was supposed to already know that and they refused to exchange something they sold me that I couldn't use but they were happy to sell me a new battery. IMHO from a management standpoint, this is poor business. You recommended something for a customer that they couldn't use, then refused to even exchange it for something they could use and forced them to spend more money. This is in no way the fault of the customer but you refuse to make good on it. I'm not the person that's going to stand around screaming at everyone until I get my way - I just bought the new battery and went on my way but I can tell you in my time as a customer service manager for local company, that would not have gone over very well. This is a great shop. They have a parking lot, and a good selection on everything from Heavy Hitters Vape, to some really good flower. I always ask the bud tenders what the recommend for flower since I'm not that particular with flower. However I only buy Heavy Hitters 1gram Vape and they always have those on deck! I showed the listed price on the website, which matched the in store pricing but was not honored. Unfortunately after spending thousands buying ounces of Monterey I will never go back and will not recommend this club to anyone. Came for the DEALS. Left DISAPPOINTED. I understand the COVID rules and social distancing but come on......I came in early for the discounted deals there was for the day and there was absolutely no parking for customers. The little parking they did have was all taken and crowded. There was no way my truck was going to be able to fit anywhere to get in the building. So I decided I would come back in a short time when it would be less crowded. WRONG! I came back shortly after to find the parking still over crowded and a line to get in the building out the door and around the building. Luckily someone was leaving so I managed to get the parking. Only to wait in line outside for almost an hour just to get into the building just to wait in another line inside. You would think for how busy and crowded it was, the employees would have some urgency to get customers in and out quick and efficiently but no just a lot of talking with each and every customer while dozens of people wait outside with no parking for people coming in. While I was in line outside I seen so many customers trying to find parking just leave because of the huge line and no parking. I appreciate the employees kindness with customers but when you have a line wrapped around the building and car traffic constantly coming to find no parking, something needs to be done to speed things up. Soooo by the time it was finally my turn I already knew what I wanted it only took me 5 minutes to get me out the door. No chit chat! Took me over an hour just to get 2 items! Unfortunately by the time it was my turn the deals that I wanted and came in for and waited so long for were SOLD OUT! How can customers come in an get the discount deals you offer when they can't even park and get into the door on time? I like this place and the deals and product they offer, but something needs to be done about the long lines and no parking. People have places to be and things to do. read more
