I love the way Anna shapes my nails. Since I usually don't choose one straight color, I always bring in a picture of what I am looking for and she has given me exactly what I've wanted each time. I don't usually get a pedicure on every visit, but when I do, Megan is 100% my girl. They have an unreal color selection, can execute pretty much any design, and are stocked with everything--glitter, gems, stickers, you name it. I recently started doing the Gel X and love how long it lasts - it is a little pricier than the dip or regular gel but it takes less time and seriously lasts until it grows out so totally worth the price! Nail dusts flying around and very minimal to no cleaning around the edges - This leads to bumps all over. No amount of filing and top coat can dismiss half ass work. Trying to politely show these bumps, she reworked them to an extent on the left hand. Didn't want to show me my right hand because she didn't want any criticism. Selected 5 nail number codes for her to find the nail colors - just for 2 of them to not be found. (The customer on my right had the same Easter colors. Why couldn't we use her colors? I was really confused why there was very little to no effort from beginning to end.) Maybe I'm the last customer tonight, but dayum, put in the work you charge. I think I found my go-to nail salon! I stumbled across this place while running errands. I didn't bring cash, but they thankfully accept Zelle! (They also take Visa/Mastercard, but no Apple Pay or AMEX.) I came in right before their lunch hour as a walk-in so I was very happy they were able to take me as they were pretty busy. The place itself is nice and bright with plenty of space. My nail tech was Pauline (Phuong) and she was soooo sweet! I was worried about my already thin/damaged nails so I didn't want to do gel nails. I originally asked for dip, but then Pauline told me about TAP, which is a hybrid technique! I opted to try it since I already tried dip once. I love how my manicure came out! It's similar to dip so I'm excited to see how long it lasts. The salon is located in a plaza with plenty of parking. I got the TAP with French tips & gel removal and it totaled to $55. Definitely worth the price for how meticulous my tech was and everything was done in about an hour! Since coming here, they used Gel Tap on me, something i never heard of, had made my nails stronger. Not only it lasted longer but no more peeling corners even after 1 month of Gel Tap. They have a wonderful selection of gel colors. Originally I had a dip powder set from a different salon. They were very grown out and needed some work! I'm a long time customer here and I really like the mani/pedi that I get from Trina. However, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME she is running upwards of 30 minutes late even though I have a scheduled appointment. I went in today at my scheduled time and saw Trina doing a gel manicure and when I asked her if she was running behind she said yes, 10 mins. Mind you, 10 mins is the magical number. So the 'manager' asked if someone else could do my manicure and I said yes. So the 'manager' rolled her cart up to my chair, walked around aimlessly for a while and came back to me and said someone else would do my manicure. That someone else was working on the same customer that Trina was working on and was not finished. Why the lazy 'manager' couldn't start my manicure is beyond me. I don't get gel, or anything fancy, just a deluxe mani/pedi which Trina can do in an hour once she's available. People make an appointment for an obvious reason and of course the nail techs run late occasionally, but not every time. My time is valuable too. Not to mention their prices have drastically increased. I'm sorry, but there are way too many nail salons in Tustin that are happy to have the business. In fact, I went across the street and just had a fantastic mani/pedi for a fraction of what Organic Nail Bar charges! read more
