We had cafe de olla and some dishes that made for an amazing brunch. We ordered a plate of Arrachera with tortillas and Bistec Encebollado (steak with onions) with beans. On the same plate we had chicharrones en salsa, a breakfast staple in this city. To balance the heavier dishes we had a Jugo Verde drink made from fresh pineapple and parsley. The staff were so friendly, we felt at home with the kind approach and nice ambiance. The decor is traditional and tasteful, we had such a fun experience. It's the top of the line and there's no competition. Pam Gabriel's croissants are good right out of the package but I bet they are even better if they go in the toaster oven for a couple of minutes. My hotel room lacks the kitchen equipment to make sure that possible. I did try the eclair / chocolate bar. It was good. I was expecting to it to be softer but sweet treats like these are few and far between so it's not a complaint at all. I wanted to try a slice or their bread but they don't have sampling. If they did it. I would have given 5 stars. There's a lot to chose from so peep out their menu online or on a Facebook. For my US vegan friends, be sure to check Pan Gabriel out. The food I order is soooo soft (extra bonus as I order soft food but sometimes even soft food can be not super soft and this is), packaged to go the best I've ever experienced anywhere/any country (not too much packaging but simply well packaged). Little requests they are happy to accommodate (like no banana in a smoothie) and when I ordered something that was not good for me they called ubereats to call me to let me know so I could change the order. I'm so happy I started eating their food and so happy it looked so cute so that I initially went in there for warm beverages and juices one day in the area. I'm in the raw food world and have had so much delicious food and desserts, but I have to say their raw pie is the best ever from anywhere!! So so grateful, puts extra smiles on my face!!
